John Wick deserves more credit. The fight choreography is amazing.
This isn't about choreography this is about the real thing. Anyone can learn how to dance. Not everyone can pull a punch and make it look real.
Walter Ferres lilzo
Mabiaka Ralte Make sense Then learn to defend yourself.
Gonzo Indigenous One totally agree. I've never seen any other fight coreography that integrated firearms so well. from what this video says, it apparently is a mixture of judo and karate, but there has to be more to it than that.
"Gun fu" :)
Sadly you missed Scott Adkins. He was never given the place he deserved in Hollywood. His skills as Yuri Boyka in Undisputed movie series are just mind-blowing.
The title says "10 famous actors u DIDN'T KNOW HAS martial art skill in real life" Scott Adkins obviously has it
@@Enryu_CZX I agree. But to be fair, you *could* say the same thing about Jason Statham, Wesley Snipes, and Michael Jai White.
Thank you! He’s trained in probably more styles than any actor or stuntman, and his physicality for stunts no one has ever came close to matching.
I know right. In my opinion he would've been the best on the list.
Agreed
In my opinion if a martial arts school hands a black belt to an 8 year old, it's most probably a McDojo.
TAYLOR LAUTNER'S PARENTS BOUGHT HIM THAT BLACK BELT AT 8 YRS OLD. NO WAY IN REAL LIFE MARTIAL ARTS, DOES A PERSON, ESPECIALLY A 6 YR OLD HONESTLY EARN THE RANK OF BLACK BELT IN 2 YEARS!!!!!! NOT HAPPENING UNLESS YOU BUY IT LIKE TAYLOR LAUTNER'S PARENTS BOUGHT HIM HIS!!!!!
@@bigmangmc I totally agree altho im 14 and have got my back belt however have been training for like 4 years
I think i was six years old when i got mine. Mom got it for me for Easter from JCPenney.
@@bigmangmc Calm down.
My neice got a brown at 7 yrs for TKD. When you read the fine print on her certificate, it tells you it's a child's grading, not an adult.
I love Chloe & Hugh, but training in martial arts for several months in order to do a film role is not the same of actually doing martial arts. Now Ed O'Neill & Ashton Kutcher were such surprises, at least for me, because I never knew that they actually practise martial arts IRL.
Most of these are not surprising or unknown. More surprising to most would be the martial arts skills of Forest Whitaker and Denzel Washington. Whitaker has a black belt in Kenpo Karate, and is accomplished in Filipino Martial Arts, which he studies under Dan Inosanto. Denzel also studies under Inosanto, and you can see his FMA demonstrated in several of his films.
All true and interesting enough Guru spent time training actors usually his top instructors handle majority of that considering Dan's crazy seminar schedule.
Forest Whitaker? The guy looks like an oversized koala, I can't imagine him doing FMA, really.
His physique and ptosis (slow eye) don't make him look threatening. Which is exactly why he would be a good choice for "actors you didn't know had martial arts skills." If you watched him in Criminal Minds or Rogue One, you get a glimpse of his skill set.
I knew about Jason Wesley and Jake the Wolf ..the rest surprised me..especially John Cusack and Al Bundy
yeah I was completely blown away by Ed!
I knew about everyone but John Cusack. That one surprised me the most.
Michael Harris check him out in Grosse Point Blank some pretty good action scenes and it's pretty funny too.
Sithon, I've actually seen Grosse Point Blank a couple of times, it's a favorite. I just figured he did some stunt training for the movie...I was surprised to learn he'd done it for years before-hand.
Stay Alert Stay Alive
Let's not forget about the legendary Donnie Yein in Ip Man.
Good call
But donnie yen isn't an American!! And they didn't mention jackie chan???
I think this list is supposed to be unexpected actors who learnt martial arts, Donnie Yen, Jackie Chan, Jet Li (etc) are obvious. (though unsure why they showed a small snip of Jackie at the end. lol)

Totally surprising to see John Cusack and Ed O'Neill on the list. Cool. 😁✌
Ditto.
I love those guys!
Ed followed Bruce Lee he been training for decades
Was it Cusack (or whomever it was), he said had the black belt in a kickboxing “system”.... I would not recognize that as a true black belt in martial arts
@@BEElaine1008 true black belt or not those guys can fight, my buddy was a brown in Karate he got into it, he wasn't even close to being to best fighter with them, but he said they all had some kind of martial arts discipline
The guy narrating this has a black belt in mispronunciation.
Lol... Well said. The names of martial arts styles were almost all wrongly pronounced. Maybe he'll do better next time. :)
I can just picture Joe Pesci doing a kata and yelling "Hey, I'm shuh-talkin' here!"
Seriously.
Kobi Katayanagi LMAO! Thank you for saying it!!
Kobi Katayanagi 234 likes XD I was the 234 like... :)
NOBODY in this planet can start training with 6 years old and get a black belt with 8!!!that's bullshit!!!
A black belt doesnt mean you are a master... a black belt means you have learned the fundamentals and are ready to be taught. So getting a black belt is like completing the Tutorial. You still have MUCH to learn after.
Paula Covian wrong, all belts are "KYU"(levels of water) while a black belt is a "DAN"(level of Earth) only got with training and experience.the fundamentals are not enough to give someone a DAN and any martial art is a lifetime journey in learning. There is no tutorial in martial arts unless you are fighting in vídeo games.
i have got 9th Kyu in Ninjutsu, i quit since i moved in germany :/
Asakura834 I practice aikido
André D'Freitas it looks intersting, in my dojo where i practiced ninjutsu, there was a aikido class, and the idea i think of aikido is to use your opponents power and strenght againist him. Correct me if i am wrong
Ed Oneal is an absolute badass at Jujitsu. It's the hardest black belt to earn in all the disciplines. Good for him
I love Chloe Moretz. She had done so well as Hit Girl. I wish they would make a movie about Hit Girl.
Hit Girl as a grown up.
Dolph Lundgren. Not only a Karate fellow, but he really does hold an advanced degree.
Srsly, the John Wick choreography is just amazing
njoYYY it was fucking rubbish to say the least.
Yea you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. So get the fuck out of my side you little bitch.
mohamed abdelfatah you're a moron😂😂
John Wick ruled!
njoYYY
Sarah Michelle Gellar: Had a brown belt in taekwondo when started playing “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and added kickboxing to the mix. I would have thought Snipes or White would have been in the top slots.
Snipes should be. He even appeared on the cover of Kung Fu Magazine at least one time back in the 90's.
That was excellent thank you for posting that!
While I already knew most of those, I will admit that John Cusack and Ed O'Neill did surprise me.
Yup
I knew about Ed O'Neill because of those Gracie Academy KZhead vids
One form of martial arts that Keanu Reeves has mastered is firearms, for his John Wick portrayals. Look around and you’ll find some breathtaking video of Keanu laying down some incredible firepower.
You missed Maggie Q, her skills are impressive and she dose many of her own stunts.
Or Michelle Yeoh.
How does one "dose" a stunt? Is that an ancient Chinese secret??
Definitely miss Maggie
Maggie
Females dont count
This is so amazing and insightful. Love the dedication to their role performance. My favorites here are Keanu and Jason
You forgot Gal Gadot. Former military (Israel Defense Forces (IDF)) She learned Krav Maga as well as Kung Fu kickboxing, Capoeira and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
I really didn't expect Statham, Snipes and Jai White on this list. I'm truly shocked, and I had no idea these guys were skilled Martial Artists in real life. Did anyone here see this one coming??????????????
The sarcasm is *strong* with this one.
MrNinjafreak wesley snipes is self claimed martial artist. statham is also more of a gymnast than martial artist. this video is bullshit
I actually already knew about them knowing the arts just most of the rest on the list I didn't. Statham was also a competitive swimmer.
every other person is champ at some organization/tournament or whatever, that doesn't make him good lol.mythsis Little Farie
I knew about Jason Statham, Michael Jai White, and Wesley Snipes were for years. Wesley even hosted a Martial arts event. They have studied martial arts for a long time and are proficient in it. They have taken their skills and knowledge to the big screen and pretty much do their own stunts, this is nothing knew to hardcore fans. Just because they don't do martial arts professionally doesn't mean they can't or don't know how to use it in a real fight. When you have their level of training and degree chances are they can, but many tends not to or use it in that manner. There are a lot of real martial artists in the world that have never fought inside a ring and are better than those that made a career professionally.
A black belt ain't shat, it's only a trophy, a lot of people don't get that, I honestly think anyone can get a black belt, it's the actual person and how much practice they do that counts. As Bruce Lee once said "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times." It's basically saying sure you learned all this stuff but what is the use of it if you are no good at it? It's the dedication you take into learning specific things that is truly impressive.
People who don't practice don't really understand what "black belt" means. The best analogy I ever heard was, "Achieving a black belt means you have learned the alphabet. Now you have to learn how to read and write words and sentences." It is not by any means an indication of some form of mastery.
Ben Lee it totally depends on the system. There's no governing body of all martial arts club world wide who lay down the standard of 'black belt'. Some clubs pretty much just give it out for regular attendance, in some clubs it is indeed like learning the alphabet and all the real learning comes after, and rarely some clubs make it so hard to get that it is genuinely a sign of mastery and people may fail that grading many times before success. But those clubs are defo in the minority.
Ben Lee.. It really depends on who gave you the black belt aswell.. Joe Rogan constantly says this when fighters have a black belt from an unknown bjj trainer(doesnt mean they arent worthy of teaching and giving blackbelts) Problem is, there is lots of people training people and lots of them arent worthy of giving a proper blackbelt. Thats why any gracie black belt (like the guy from Modern Family is a HUGE achievement, but lots of other martial art black belts they named are unrealistic in a streeet fight setting. Toughest guy on this list has to be Michael Jai White
Only Chuck Norris,Jean Claude and Steven Seagal have the right to say master
Yes the belt itself is a trophy but it sounds more to me like you are a jealous bitch that you couldn't get one.
There's also Kathryn Winnick from"Vickings", was also in that clip with Ashton Clutcher
Chloe Grace-Moretz and Hugh Jackman would be the perfect “Ellie and Joel” combo.
This has to be a thing in the near future
taylor Lautner? "he started training at six and got his black belt at 8". There is perfectly explained how NOT serious that is. Karate Black belt is never achieved in such a short span, simply because no master will allow it. Period. Of course, there is exhibition sh.t karate wannabe... you can be black belt in six months there, and get you butt kicked if you pretend to be a martial artist
American style Karate didn't mean a thing because there were so many phony school who just wanted to collect money. One would hand them the money and get a new belt every six months. No kids should deserve a black belt.
Yeah, it's kinda strange. When I start karate I was 10, and in two years I only got to green belt. And in the dojo/style I joined, it's imposible to get brown belt before 17, because the test require certain amount of strength that equal an adult...
have you seen his videos of when he was 12?
The minute I heard that, I thought "Strip mall McDojo".
Diego Bassist He wasnt a black belt at 8... in 2000 he was a green belt he would of been between 8-10.
Omg! Micheal Jai White, Jason Statham and Wesley Snipes have real martial arts skills?! No way! What about Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris and JCVD? Do they have martial arts skills too?
and the famous hand slappy guy steven seagal
Draven lol who knew lol..
Chuck Norris is an 8th degree master. Look it up.
3:40 Ed O'Neil is the one that surprised me the most.
To mr its John Cusack..he doesn't look like someone who could fight😁
I fought Ed O’Neil in 1993 at the Gracie Acadamy in Torrance California, He was older (I was in my Prime at age 22) yet he beat me badly! We rolled 10 times and I lost every time and I was fairly skilled in BJJ, The funny thing is that I did not know who he was until after 2 hours. I can now say that Al Bundy kicked my ass!
@@warriorpoet8119 "Let's rock..."
Ed was a professional football player prior to acting, so taking up another sport is not surprising: but, it isn't anything I had heard mentioned before.
Katherine Winnick ? “Vikings “ Anyone? She is above and beyond 💪🏻😳😍
She definitely should have been on this list!
She should have been number 1
Especially since she was fighting Ashton Kutcher in the clip they showed!

Chloe would need to study longer than a few months to be considered "skilled"
interesting
Rizky Aldino Fine accoUnt. Most actors realise the physical advantage of *Martial training. Even if they restrict to small characters ^ screen. All Shakespearian actors were required to learn several weapons & dances prior to 1960's. Became *reduced syllabus from 1946 due returned WW2 veterans that went into the theatre & Movies.
Hahahaha @ forrest whittaker what did he train for a hot dog eating contest you can't do martial arts and be 300lbs you need to be able to move. now if he did when he was a kid maybe but not in the last 30 yrs!
You don't hear much about it, but Elvis Presley had a 7th degree black belt in karate. He had a fulltime live-in instructor for a while at Graceland.
Emory Schley His wife ran off with a Karate instructor.
But he's dead. I think all those in this video are alive now.
You miss one famous actor that actually knew kungfu and unknown by many people : Robert Downey Jr
he does wing chun to be exact i think, not kung fu
@xXsilverpearlXx i think what this person means with "unknown" is a fact that rdj can do martial art
Kungfu is useless in fights anyway.
@@beardedentity Wanna try to fight a kungfu master?

Forest Whitaker has skills to I was surprised to hear about Ed O'Neill a couple years ago
Actors we didn't know had martial arts skills? Really? People didn't know Statham, Snipes, Jae White, etc really had martial arts skills?
to be honest the only surprise for me was John Cusack
Yeah that and Ed O'neil
Alex Betten he's a student of benny the jet urquidez
Benny the Jet teaching John Cusack is pretty damn impressive.
you should see gross pointe blank, the guy he has the hallway fight scene with is his teacher
Michael Jai White is a beast
Yeah I wanna see that movie they showed him in the action looks badass.
It's Blood and Bone from 2009
+Gonk a good movie
Besides being a helluva dancer, James Cagney was a black belt in judo back in the 1930s, and used judo techniques in some of his films. Basil Rathbone was a two-time British Army fencing champion. Cornel Wilde was selected for the 1936 USA Olympic Saber Team but quit to take an acting role. Tyrone power was one of the best fencers in Hollywood, learning from age seven. And yes, fighting with edged weapons is a martial art--ask any samurai, musketeer, or Viking. James Caan is an internationally-ranked Master of Karate. Other actors have genuine skills as opposed to many seen here. Some mentioned in the video, i.e. Chloe Moritz, are simply foo-foo; there is a big difference between combat training and stage fighting.
“ LETS ROCK “ AL BUNDY 😆
0:20: "Here are ten famous actors you didn't know had serious martial arts skills." Did you really, seriously believe that we didn't know Jason Statham had serious martial arts skills??
Or micheal jai white
I know right who DOESN'T know that?!
Or Wesley Snipes
I said the same thing lol. And I never would have guessed Wesley Snipes was a martial artist either lol 🙄😁
I KNEW they would add Michael Jai White... Just like everyone already KNEW that Michael Jai White is a serious badass. They could've added Jason Alexander, Kevin James or any other celebrity martial artist... I know one thing: MJW could've had a serious career as a professional fighter.
Katheryn Winnick of “Vikings” fame. She holds a 3rd degree black-belt in taekwondo, and a 2nd degree black-belt in karate.
She should have been number 1
She also holds a 15th Dan in STHBOE (Simply The Hottest Blonde On Earth)
Yes! I love her and it was my first thought when they showed her fight scene with Ashton in the Killers. 😍
cool
I actually clicked hoping I would see her here. I'm disappointed 😞
3 months with a stunt crew doesn't make you "seriously skilled" in martial arts. You need YEARS and dedication.
Damn right...
Not anymore dummy, I trained for many years and was dedicated, then I met a very serious and good person, that was an awesome Martial artist and fighter, I trained with him for 6 months and learned and improved more than in many years of my previous training, you learn a lot of useless horsesht in all those years of dedicated training.
@@Rspenesmit So you argue with my 3 month comment by saying you trained for many years then spent 6 months with someone and learned more.. Did you learn about bad analogies?
Wow! Fun list. Thanks for sharing.
All Bundy knows martial arts ???? He should have roundhoused peggy when she whined at him.
Richard Upton I was really surprised to see Al Bundy on that list.

Haha but we know he loved her deep down and wouldn't do that. Despite everything they said to each other.
Richard Upton bro, thats why he always kick every Kelly's boyfriend
Yep black belt in BJJ/GJJ and trained with the Gracies for 23 years.
SCOTT ADKINS never gets enough credit.
Blammo D Adkins is the best and most complete martial artist I have ever seen
I so badly wanted Adkins to get the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. I think he'd be great.
Clearly Bruce Lee must be on every spot of this video.
No - just read the title again.
@@FinneHons yeah but we know about most of the others too!!!!
So #1 is Chloe Grace-Moretz who’s only martial arts training was a 3month period to prepare for a movie... ok
That surprised me when I watched her body movements in kick ass is like she has been training for years.
That's because it's the most surprising for one so young.
No Lucy Lu?
She was 11
before martial arts she studied gymnastics so her flexibility is already there
Surprised they didn't mention Idris Elba since he made his kickboxing debut recently and won. Chiwetel Ejiofor is a serious Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner which can be seen in Redbelt. Jason David Frank, a long time member of the Power Rangers television franchise is a long time karate practitioner and BJJ purple belt who has had 4 MMA fights (1 pro, 3 amateur). He even challenged former co-star Austin St. John to an MMA fight.
Ask Bill Wallace what he thinks of the real-world skill level of many Hollywood 'black belts'. I dont doubt that people like Statham and Snipes can fight, but I dont buy some of the '6th degree black belt' BS some publicists trot out for their clients. Donnie Yen would be my pick for the actor who can walk the walk onscreen and off, and he takes training as seriously as any 'fulltime' martial artist.
He was badass in Rogue One :)
Donnie Yen is awesome. Great comment and so true!
Donnie yen can take down all yall s#$t "actors" mantis styles
@@cyn2612 No argument from me - he throws himself into every role, doing the kind of physical prep that the 'dancers' like to think they can do.

James Caan belongs on this list. He has studied karate under Tak Kubota for 30+ years and has been an innovator in martial arts weapons since at least the 70's. Last I knew, he held the rank of godan (5th degree black belt), and the traditional Japanese styles don't exactly give away belt ranks. Rather, they set the standard for having to truly earn what you get.
A lot of comments about FAMOUS people that we already know have skill. The title is people who we DIDN'T know.
I show this as the title "10 Popular Actors With Serious Martial Arts Skills In Real Life!"
Sarah Michelle Geller has a black belt in Taekwondo, and she has practiced "kickboxing, street fighting, boxing, and gymnastics". From a young age, Lucy Liu was trained in the martial arts of kali-eskrima-silat, AKA the weapons-based technique of fighting involving sticks, knives, and other types of blades. Jason Momoa does Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. And more and more.

Scott Adkins is amazing, but he is not popular. I believe he will be in time though.
Jatin Soni I
Scott Adkins and Matthew Muller and Vin Diesel
Wow i knew they are trained And i like their martial arts movement you can tell
I think the perfect mix of styles is Boxing, Kickboxing (with knees and elbows), Wrestling and BJJ.
Chloe trains for three months and that somehow qualifys her to be a martial artist?
6 months i believe in her interviews
DJBianca Frost still not enough
CrimsonKnight no but I bet she could kick most girls in her weight class ass in real life though.
I'm glad you added "girls in her weight class," since we're all supposed to accept an 85 pound girl can beat up 250 men in 2017. Reality is offensive.
But she was training gymnastics for years what gave her great start in fighting sports.
Forgot Rob Downey Jr. who's now well known for his study of Wing Chun Kung Fu. He's got to be a fairly high level black belt by now. Dolph Ludgren is a trained brawler in kickboxing an few others I think. An then there's a few others that have degrees as well like the "white canary" Lotz who does Kali too I believe. just some my favorites
Matt Damon BEN affleck JENNIFER GARNER and FOREST WHITAKER are also known to have extensive training! let's not forget CARRADINE his drunken pervert style was without peer LOL!!
Anyone who saw Ghost Dog knew about Whitaker.
Oh, you beat me to it.
Robert Agu There is no such thing as a black belt in Wing Chun. Black belts are rankings from non Chinese martial arts countries
Rodney Settle Generally not true. Many styles have adopted belt systems, although most Wing Chun schools do not, there are a few that do. I do understand what you're trying to say but they are out there.
LOL, they didn't "miss" anyone. They have simply listed 10 on this video.
Keanu Reeves is the face of perfection
He knew kick boxing before matrix so what is this guy talking about he didn't know anything before matrix

Where’s jet li, Jackie Chan, Donnie yen and tony jaa?? The original legends been in the game for so long
Tony Jaa is amazing!
Thing is, everyone know they have skills and could whoop serious ass, that's why they weren't listed. If I had choose who would win in this list I'd go with Snipes with Jai White a very close second. In your list I couldn't really choose between Li, Yen and Jaa, they're some real badasses and I have a lot of love for Jackie.
they're not listed, cause they don't count as 'actors you didn't know have serious MA skills' - just read the title :-D
Because this was about people you did not know had real skills
Loved the pic of Ed O'Neill with Phil Brooks AKA C.M. Punk
Are you sure the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt is Ed O'Neill's biggest achievement? And not, 4 touchdowns in one game?
a black belt in bjj is way more impressive. especially under rener himself
You win the internet!
Polk high!
That's right, I forgot he played football . . . good catch! No pun intended. :-)
what about scott adkins
people would be surprised if he DIDNT hava some serious martial arts background..

Scott Adkins For sure as well as Jean Claude Van Damme
Asmit Basu and Wushu
Thanks for sharing 👍
At least a couple we already knew had martial art skills. John Cusack was the best suprise. Who knew!
The only ones I didn't know about was Ed O Neill, John Cusack and Ashton Kutcher. Very surprised!
Uma Thurman definitely has skills
Pretty cool. Keanu Reeves looks great in Matrix and 'Wick'. Big fan of Snipes. I did not know that Ed O'neill was a master of Ju Jitsu, very cool. I just started to learn some of it 20 years ago and it became a new favorite style. I became a brown belt in Karate when I was 8years old with the Girls Clubs of America. I later studied Kung Fu (Wushu) and I love it. I am old now but still love the art form. Cool video.
This list was incredible
where is Scott Adkins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he's not popular, not many people know him
well hes not that huge popular.......
why are you down here!!!!!!!
You have to be an actor to be on this list. Hahahaha
DJ Pro And he is more than qualified. He's british and he can do the american and russian accents pretty well. Just because he took roles in small movies, doesn't mean he's not worthy of a mention.
Statham, Jackman, and Grace-Moretz have great voices and would do amazingly in voiceover work if they ever wanted to. Especially in video games.
Statham did voice acting in Call of Duty Advanced Warfare
Keanu Reeves is a serious badass... his the KZhead videos of him training for John Wick are fantastic...
Watching those videos and videos of how he is to fans. Really impressed me and made me look at him differently. So much respect for him!
Seeing Ed O'Neill on that list is like seeing John Goodman or Woody Allen.....
1:40 Taylor Lautner "he began training in karate when he was 6, and EVEN received a black belt at age 8". LOL Any martial art where you receive a black belt in 2 years is a JOKE. BJJ it takes between 7 and 10 years to earn a black belt. Key word here is 'EARN'.
Find one and fight them
It depends on training regiments and quality of teaching and a student willing to learn. I studied bjj for 8 months and held my own against ex's dad, who trained under a Gracie relative.
He was serious about it, it even got him into a disney karate comedy. If you gave him more of a carreer like dolf lundgren i bet he could pull it off. Not actors have to be able to act, i look at tom cruise.
Yeah, seriously...I don't care how talented, an 8 yr old can never be that good to have a black belt.
Scott Adkins AKA Yuri Boyka
Lateef Crowder, Tony Jaa and Mareese Crump too
yes I'm a huge fan of scott adkins he's style is so damn awesome. too bad he did'nt had a chance to be lead star in 5 star movies accept yuri boyka
Eduardo Gomes yeah!... he's the perfect one.....
Finally found someone talking about my favorite actor...his fighting style is different than that of other actors.

I feel like Michael Jae White's talent is being wasted with these straight to video movies.
That's happening cuz he's a black man. I don't think you can understand.
@@bigmangmc That's bullshit playing the race card. If he has talent then he will get a film that releases in the cinema just like Wesley Snipes did.

You missed Dolph Lundgren who is a 3rd degree black belt in Kyokushin Karate.
He's 6'7", too. What are you going to do against kicks with legs that are as tall as you? The kick is below his waist. So he doesn't lose any power by going high. I would not want to fight him. There's film of his fights on youtube. It's like he's swinging trees.
And let us not forget that he is legitimately smart too... Chemical Engineer Degree and an IQ of 160.
And contrary to a vast majority of actors in Hollywood, he's a ginuwine nice guy.
+Grant Petersen true. that was a shocker.
Juicicles 6'5"
Snipes has also trained in the Brazilian art of Capoeira.
HITGIRL IS AWESOME...I LOVE CHLOE... YOU GO GIRL
How could you NOT KNOW John Statham has martial arts skills? That's all he DOES in is movies!
I think you mistakenly wrote John instead of Jason for Statham?
Must add that Ed O'Neil received his belt from Rorion Gracie, the Co founder of UFC and the brother of Royce Gracie
3 months of practice, Serious Martial Arts Skills right there.
yeah i'm not buying that 3 months would get you very far.. maybe 3 months of 12 hours a day.. ok now your past white belt but not black belt..
Most of these we KNOW have martial arts skill and also, the films that spring to my mind when you mention John Cusack are Grosse Pointe Blank and High Fidelity. I've never heard of Say Anything and Sixteen Candles.
Guessing you are a guy or younger. Say Anything was a massive hit with the ladies in the 80s or 90s. Never saw it but I have heard it referenced so many times by women or in popular culture.
For all the " what about Scott Adkins Jackie Chan Chuck Norris etc" . It clearly says actors that you didn't know had martial arts skills.
Everyone knows Jackie chan and chuck Norris and those that have heard of Scott Adkins knows he also has abilities. So whats your point?
They say Jason Statham, but it's obvious that Jason has Kong-fu skills
That's why they're not on the list.
yall are some serious blockheads....you are saying exactly what the original commentor was saying 😂😂 fucking dumbasses lolol
Scott Adkins is legit.
bruh...so no one acknowlegdes Sharkboy and Lavagirl
Tyrese M ikr skarkboy and lava girl was the shit.
xXCaptainFanatic2Xx Like you said "was".
Just because it was before your were born, that doesn't make it irrelevant. Jackass.
Julia Lee P
Tyrese M they learn martial art?didn't know that
"John Cusack" - fails to show clip of him fighting his mentor Benny in Grosse Pointe Blank...FFS
Benny Urquidez was a legend back then.
@@eriveltomartinsbarrosjunio9022 Benny the Jet is a legend
I'd like what ever you have on film stars and martial arts thankyou.
People always miss Dolph Lungren. Guy has a resume that reads like a Bond villain. Including proficient in martial arts.
Wenthral and biochemistry, right? or some such badass scientific discipline.
I think he studied chemical engineering at MIT.
i love training martial arts :) training With swords, archery, fencing and other fun stuff :)
"Shotokan" is pronounced "SHOW-toe-kan," not "Shuh-TAW-ken."
And it’s “Don” not “Dan”
Isn’t that just east of Sheboygan?
@@_just_looking_thank_you absolutely . . . And I hear they have great shitake mushrooms there as well. ;)
Ashton Kutcher only recently received his brown belt from Rigan Machado
Michael Jae White would have put a helleva spin on Luke Cage, cast him as the big screen Luke Cage on the next two Avengers movies.
patrick smith Too late now.
I wish him and Steven Seagal would have fought in that one one movie I cannot remember now because I am drunk.
yes he would have been a great Luke Cage
Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, Donnie Yen, Sammo Hung, Tony Jaa and Chuck Norris could easily take the top spot.
d34dj0k3r it's for people we DIDNT know. They are obvious people since sone were mostly known for martial arts before acting.
Everybody already knew Bruce Lee was a fucking tank, he is not worthy of this list.
@4:00 Great pic of Ed alongside CM Punk!
Started training in karate aged 6 and even gained black belt aged 8. Sounds like you got yourself a mcdojo
