Not only are there a lot of subliminal messages in Disney films, there is also a lot of racism.
In Dumbo, the main black crows name is Jim Crow and all of his followers have speech and mannerisms that depict African-Americans. Sebastian in The Little Mermaid has a Jamaican accent and sings about how life is easy when you don’t have many responsibilities. Many people think this was a jab at Jamaicans for being lazy. The alley cats in the Aristocats are all foreign. There’s a Chinese cat, a Russian cat, and a womanizing Italian cat. The Native Americans in Peter pan all sing about how the Native Americans received their complexion. The Siamese cats in The Lady and Tramp are named Si and Am and resemble the typical Asian stereotype with slanted eyes and buck teeth. The apes in The Jungle Book have British English accents, talk in jive, and sing like Louie Armstrong. There were plenty of Arab stereotypes in Aladdin especially in the beginning of the song where they are labeled as barbaric and will cut your ear off if they don’t like your face. The hyenas in The Lion King were looked down upon by the lions. They also lived in the elephant graveyard which seemed to represent the ghetto. In Pocahontas, the Native Americans were either seen as ruthless savages, or noble savages. Disney was being progressive when they had their first black princess in The Princess and the Frog. Fans were outraged at the fact that the Prince’s race was a little ambiguous. Well, what did you think of this list?

Screen Rant most of these make no sense
Just because Naveen isnt white, doesnt mean he is black!!!! EVen his name sound indian or something.
Screen Rant THEY AREN'T INDIANS THEY ARE NATIVE AMERICANS😡😡
Screen Rant fgg
What’s the problem with naveen being voiced by someone who’s Brazilian? He’s supposed to be a foreign prince so it makes sense for him not to be the same ethnicity as Tiana. I always saw this as being more diverse rather then racist
Agreed, in my opinion the person who made this video is the racist one Having a Brazilian voice a Disney charecter isn't racist in the SLIGHTEST If anything it's anti-racisimn because their having someone who's not white Voice a good guy, it certainly is diverse, and it's a GOOD diverse Anways, he is supposted to be a foreign prince lol
at the same time, though, a lot of people were bothered by the fact that instead of Disney finally having a black prince, they have a foreign prince, who is of different ethnicity. people in the black community felt that it was somehow representing an idea that black men weren't good enough, or couldn't be in a high position of power. for me though, I always saw Naveen as being handsome, and even so, being a black girl, I look at him no differently than how I did when I was 4-5 years old.
Sydni Sanders at the end of the day it’s just a film, I enjoyed it. Do the ethnicity’s of the characters even matter?
@@Purplekitty274 I think you failed to realize that I wasn't talking about myself. I clearly said that "some people" and I never categorized myself with them. Oh, and please read my last statement
@@Purplekitty274 lol, to Disney it does 😂 I'm still forever a Disney fanatic🤷🏾♀️
okay wait did you just say that naveen not _sounding_ like how a black person _should sound_ is racist? how can you determine what a black person should sound like? that's like saying he's not dark enough. he was a great character and doesn't deserve to be number one on this list. or on the list at all.
I thought Naveen was like Indian or something. It's an Indian name so I thought it would make sense lol now I'm just confused
They're mad because his voice actor isn't black when he should be.
Deku Scrubber Bravo
But Naveen isn't even meant to be black. He doesn't look black, he looks like a tanned Caucasian, like a a southern Spaniard or maybe an Arabian or Indian. His voice actor is Latino, so it suggests that he's indeed meant to be from Ibera or South America, which would suit his appearance too.
He's supposed to be a prince from a far off land (which is why it's ambiguous) who is full of himself... if they had made him black it would have been offensive that they portrayed him in such a negative light... This is ridiculous.
Sebastian wasn't lazy. He was a hard worker and was fiercely dedicated to King Triton. "Under the Sea" is a song where he lists all the things wrong with the human world, trying to convince Ariel to stay
I think the Sebastian one is quite a reach. He's singing that song to Ariel, as a guardian figure who wants her to not throw away her life of ease and luxury. He, on the other hand, is completely devoted to his position and diligent.
Some of these are a little bit too far fetched... Like siamese cats do have slanted eyes
Vero Arch yeah they do! I have two of them!
Uh I agree that some of these are far fetched but the Siamese cat Asian caricature was one of the few that was a bit racist lmao especially with the exaggerated slanted eyes, playing with chopsticks when not needed, broken English, and even the music itself from Lady and the Tramp.
Uh that's very common with CATS altogether yup so all cats are absolutely racist
Yeah I think the slanted eyes thing was a stretch. Other things like the cats speech patterns could be seen as racist, but cats in general tend to have slanted eyes.
Destiny Robinson no they do my mom has had a bunch of Siamese cats and she describes them with sleazed eyes

Exactly
@@amadib.6405 right
So let me get this straight, when the characters talk like stereotypes it's bad and racist, but when the prince in Princess and the Frog doesn't talk like one, that's also bad, because he should have talked like a black stereotype?? He's probably not even black, it's kind of racist to assume brown = black, and if there is a problem he's not black, that is another racial stereotype (that black people are against interracial dating) that's not so good.
The most racist thing in Princess and the Frog is that Tiana is 90% of the time a frog and not a human. it's the first human black princess and she's a frog most of the time.
@@julijakeit OML CAN YOU ACCEPT THE FACT THAT THE MOVIE IS CALLED PRINCESS AND THE FROG P.S SHE HAD TO BE Q FROG THATS THE STORYLINE WILL YOU STOP?!

“Did you ever think about this while watching the Lion 🦁 king 👑” Me: No, because I’m a normal person
I never thought of Naveen as black? I thought he was from a fictional country with latin roots. It made me happy to see a mixed race couple, and a couple where the woman is darker than the man for once.
StarlitLilies my thoughts exactly
So did I. I always thought of him as Latin descent and his name and accents further pushed that point.
He looks Brazilian... Brazilian actor hmmmmmmmm
frankly, if I were a male I would not want to be seen as a Prince especially a Disney Prince. With how the many blog post talks about them and rips them apart I wouldn't want that. Princesses are strong and need no man and many bloggers throw a fit at any Prince Love interest or any love interest period.
RavenPrecept are you being serious or sarcastic?
Ok the princess and the frog one was bs
Naveen was biracial. It's mentioned in the song from Facilier. He's supposed to be a mixture.
If that's what they took a European story and did the opposite of whitewashing (blackwashing I guess) probably pissed a few people off to. I saw it at pandering, and was rather annoyed given how many stories I personally knew that actually have a black princess in it
Pretty much all of them are BS
its not BS one bit
That's what I was thinking, like come on how do people get offended by that
“How did it make you feel at the time” I have no idea I was an eight year old girl simping over Peter Pan give me a break🤣
🤣😂
I saw the majority of these films when I was around 4 years old. I never thought of these films as racist because no four year old would see an old cartoon and instantly think it was racist or become a racist. Hell, no one that young would even know what racism is.
exactly as a black person me and my entire family watched these films growing up and didn't think anything of it. they are reaching so far for views
I enjoyed aristocat when I was young, because I didn't experience stereotype and didn't understand racism. Now it seems disgusting to me, as I have my fair share of being stereotyped and disrespected because of my ethnicity. Which is exactly the problem, young kids might not understand racism, but if we don't recognise it and change it, they would watch these things and think it is an ok thing to do. (If anyone started saying shang hai hong kong eggfooyung in my face I will not hesitate to proceed to punch them.)
Never really had a problem with Lion King. Lions and hyenas are natural enemies in the wild so it makes sense in that content for the Lions to banish them from their land in the film
Besides most of the cast was Black; You two different view points the rich and the poor it happens in the Black community too. So this is this channel was reaching.
you need to read subtext
Yea they tried it with this one lol
Ed's my favorite
But two thirds of the hyena cast were white... And the archetype of the animal was fitting, since hyenas like to stalk lion prides and sneak away the pride's kill.
How is having a jamaican accent racist??
Apparently Jamaicans arent real
MrMpa31 I'm pretty sure I'm real 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
MrMpa31 What drugs have you been taking!?! LOL
yall know what a joke is
That's not what he said
Did you ever think of this when you watched The Lion King? No sir, I was four years old and spotting racism everywhere was not really at the top of my list.
Mine too 🤣😂😂
Just because one certain character of once certain race just happens to have a bad character trait, that doesn’t mean the creators are making fun of the entire race, ITS JUST ONE PERSON! EVERYONES DIFFERENT!
So its a coincidence that it happens as often as it does??
The Sebastian one seems ridiculous. When you analyze him as a character, he actually displays himself to be an incredibly hard worker and loyal servant to the king. He arranges ceremonies, shows up on time, and puts in a lot of effort to make things go smoothly. The 'subtext' that people claim is in the song isn't even meant to show any of Sebastian's character, but more likely his way of persuading and influencing Ariel into being more optimistic about her current life. I can't think of anyone that would listen to Under The Sea (that wasn't looking for triggers) and decide the song promoted laziness.
Sebastian: "Avoid the surface world, you won't like it." *goes to surface world after Ariel who can't keep it in her pants* Sebastian: watches fish and crabs get mutilated and boiled. But it's about laziness? And because some fish have fat lips? You ever even looked at a fish? Lots of them have big, ugly mugs.
Yeah I reckon this choice shows racism from whoever chose the list
Pitter Patter I agree.
Thank you, and I might add, why so serious?
Thank you, and I might add, why so serious?
I feel like the Sebastian one was a bit of a stretch. He doesn't come across as lazy, just as a character who doesn't want his friend to give up the life she has for a world she is too naive to understand. That's not a racial stereotype.
Corylus Bluefox i agree
Yea
Corylus Bluefox agreed
I always thought Sebastian had more of a British accent than a Jamaican accent.
well the big lipped, loud singing blackfish was a stereotype
You basically just said "accents and character representation are both racist." As someone who grew up watching these, I don't believe all arabs are barbaric thanks to Aladdin.
I was never disturbed by the original opening lyrics in Aladdin, because even as a kid, I interpreted that the movie took place in a mythical, ANCIENT Arabic country. As such, I wouldn't be surprised if the characters living in that realm felt suspicious of outsiders. All communities in history behaved that way towards strangers, it's nothing new. As a person of Nordic origin, I'm not offended that vikings and people from north are often characterized as meatheaded, drunk or violent, because that's the way many "outsiders" saw us in history, and human race tends to remember and take notice in negative traits more easily.
aight listen. Under the Sea is about how its better to live underwater because their perception of up above is that they kill and eat fish. Like sebastian isnt lazy or carefree AT ALL. hes hella uptight through the whole film
Sydney and he was always working the hardest to do his job and protect the princess. That Crab is far from lazy.
I love actual human thoughts and logic. Very rare on the internet nowadays :::::)))))))
Sydney yeah.. this was a real stretch
Right! I was like what the hell, Sebastian WORKED the whole movie, and he was always stressed.
If we're going to talk about The Little Mermaid, maybe we should talk about the seagull or Ursula? Hella white cast for that movie by the way...
"The hyenas are portrayed as less educated than the lions." FFS, I didn't know they had schools.
Yeah. That one is so weird.
mufasa, nala, and Musabi all had black casted voice actors behind their script. So this one is just the creator grasping at straws.
Hyenas are stronger and smarter, but some hyenas are idiots.
Either way it all takes place in Africa so what is the point
@@sandwich4521 Geographic Location and Demographics are not the same thing. Identity and region do not have to be inclusive one on another, they are not the same.
I feel like all the things you said 'are 'racist'' are actually ''opposites'' to me. Tinted eyes, accents, all these things are great and they're mostly animal characters. They literally made diversity with different races without using colors or etc. Black people do have thick lips, that's not racist, that's a black character representation. Most main characters are ''white'' could've been racist or they never make women characters ugly would've been sexist but even those are not true. Disney as a corporation has many flaws and some executives are known to be quite racist even today but the end result is actually not all that racist. I think it's not ''diverse'' enough.
They forgot that in Tangeled, Rapunzel explains what happens when she cuts her hair: it turns... BROWN! And thats of course really bad 🙄
"The black fish characters appear with large, oversized lips..." Wait...you mean like...fish lips?
PridefulRed ikr, this dude is just racist thinking this stuff is racist

Naveen was originally gonna be Brazilian (you can look up the concept art) but people got angry that he wasn't black saying "oh so a black man can't get a princess" and they made him racially ambiguous to avoid any accusations of racism
marisa fernandes Really? God, people will get hurt by anything, won't they?

And Brazilians tend to be a mix of races, so he could definitely be part African American, part Native American and etc.
Prince Naveen's voice was unrecognisable?!??!? Black people don't all sound the same. You were just critisizing the other movies for including accents!!!!! Also how can it be "unrecognisable" when he is an original character?
Wtf are u on

There are black people everywhere. The voice actor is Brazilian though. But with that being said I got that Prince Naveen was a person of color from another country.
I love how they say “American think it’s racist” while I have yet to run into a Jamaican, someone from China or anyone else who even think twice about these movies. Lol
THIS^^ My god I was looking for these comments. Why is the US deciding what can and cannot be racist when they aren’t the ones facing the racism? Making everything racism won’t spread awareness. It spreads uncomfortable feelings and the incapability to actually enjoy each others culture without worrying you’re being racist by somehow appropriating it. It’s so overreactive

I can say with confidence that watching these movies as a child had not made me hate anyone different from me. Also, all stereotypes have an origin.
Yep it seems like you didn't need any help from movies to make you racist -- what a gross comment.
Stereotypes don’t have an origin, it’s categorizing a whole group based on some peoples characteristics. That’s like me saying all white people are racist because u are ignorant.
“Stereotypes have an origin” is an excuse racist ppl use :/
All stereotypes have an origin but whether its a fair assessment is another question. Black people having no work and therefore being lazy was a stereotype that originated during segregation in America when black people were very much viewed as second class and finding work in cities was difficult, some industries like banking were almost entirely unreachable for black people. Is it a fair stereotype today?
White women should be separated over the animal world
Not me covering my ears at the aristocats one. I have one bit of happiness left you can’t take that away from me-
I think it’s a stretch for Sebastian. Sure he sings a song about life being easier under the sea, but all of his actions throughout the movie contradict any assumption he is lazy. He was first a distinguished music composer, that should infer he practiced and worked hard, but also we just see him constantly working and trying to save Ariel.
I think the whole "jamaican crab" thing is a heavy coincidence. He was the hardest working character in the movie 😅.
His voice wasn’t played by a Jamaican. That makes it a full caricature
@@kujo7912 or its called acting, and at least he's black. Is it still a charicature when Leonardo Di Caprio imitated a southern accent or David Harbour imitated a Russian accident for a movie? How about all of the British actors (yknow, half of all modern day actors) imitate an American accent for a movie, is that a stereotype?
He's also a high ranking government official, so everything he told Ariel was classic propaganda. Ariel knows firsthand how brutal the ocean is. That's why she wasn't convinced by Sebastian's song, even if she did enjoy it.
I lowkey agree but Ya'll forgot that Sebastian isn't even Jamaican but actually Trinidadian

Not sure how I feel about the Aladdin one. It was a huge part of my childhood. I remember me and my dad used to watch it a lot and we would even sing the lyrics to a whole new world. I miss those days :(
The fact that he says forced to move to undesirable locations and *SMACK there’s a picture of my city on the screen idk whether to feel proud or hurt🤣🤣
I disagree with the Lion King and the treatment of the hyenas being racist. I’m of East African descent and my dad would always tell us fairy tales from our culture. There were quite a few with hyenas involved and they were always portrayed as untrustworthy and hated by the other animals. Since the Lion King is also set in East Africa maybe Disney just did their research. Edit: I think it’s funny ppl are replying to this 3 years later. I still stand by my most of what I said BUT I do think it’s weird that they chose 3 black actors to portray the underclass of hyenas. That part is definitely sus (and also the lines they have in the script) but the hyenas being hated on within the story is accurate to the local folklore of the setting. Do I think Disney did their research? Not really. I think it’s more a coincidence than anything. 90s Disney didn’t really care about portraying other cultures accurately like current Disney does (i.e. Coco and Encanto were really well done).
Yeah, it was more about how hyenas are viewed in most African cultures as evil, mischievous and unwanted while lions are often revered and looked up to. That one was definitely a stretch

I honestly think that you are reading, way, too much into things.
Ella how I felt when reading the comment (no hate it’s funny)
My dad say that that's the problem with sexism.
Amber96Anime PLS SAY DAT AGAIN
No like 1/4 of these Examples are RACIST
screen rant: this cat looks like joseph stalin me: mate, it's a cat.
I think the only really racist one is Asian one and the Italian one isn’t as bad but a bit iffy and the Russian one isn’t bad that’s just how Russian cats look
cerys johnson lmfaoo me
it would be cool tho if there was a cat that looked like stalin ngl
Haha right? I don't really get totalitarian dictator/ mass industrialization vibes from a chubby musician cat.... Also, Stalin was Georgian, not Russian...
@@mrnuggetman7720 Ya I think the asian one went a little too far with the chopsticks playing the piano. But then again I don't know if it was meant to insult anyone, rather just make him a character.
“Did you noticed it when you watched the movie?” I WAS 8yo😭😭
Someone from Louisiana, here: I just assumed that Naveen was supposed to be one of the Spanish or French nobility--who was a bit of a spoiled f*ck up--and got shipped off to the new continent. It seemed pretty historically accurate to me
Spanish and French people aren't that dark lol
3:35 literally the whole plot of Pocahontas is that they AREN’T savages
THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING
Tess your so right and it's just a movie to like, enjoy, and watch!!
Definitely a colonist apologist movie tho
Literally
Omg IKR?!
I haven't seen the Princess and the Frog in a long time, but I remember thinking the Prince was Hispanic and/or Latino? I didn't think he was supposed to be black.
There are black latinos.
See that's what I thought too!
I thought he was supposed to be middle eastern or something in that area 😄
I always thought he was from some region of Europe. I thought they named Maldonia after Moldova
L 013 I thought he was From India cause the name ‘Navine’
"...the hyenas were probably your least favorite" What? They were so fun, they were way more entertaining than Simba
*the lion king part* i’ve always known about hyena racism because of “the lion guard” tv show
This video makes more racial assumptions then half the scenes depicted in it.
If they really wanted to show a racist Disney film they forgot the latest, the new "Star Wars" movies. All the villains are either white or whatever snoke is. In the "Last Jedi" Benicio Del Toro is a villain but of course they choose the whitest Puerto Rican thanks to his Catalan blood.
THANK YOU cause none of this is in derogatory form it’s just smokers lung 😂
Not to mention that they were doing stereotypes for literally EVERYONE, including white people like Elmer Fudd and Yosimite Sam.
Exactly
@@ILikeMyPrivacytbt Great movie recommendation for you! Watch "American History X" with Edward Norton. Fantastic!
Thank you Screen Rant for stepping up to show us how pretty much anything and everything can be viewed as racist if you try hard enough.
You must be white
@@mmsibi Did you racially profile me? Naughty naughty! 😝
@@seamusoneill5765 only white people would say this lacking the self awareness to realize what they do to other races. Story as old as time
@@mmsibi Says the person that just used the phrase “only white people”. People like you and people that make videos like this one do more damage to race relations than any KKK could ever dream of.
@@seamusoneill5765 stop it. You know what your people have done to us😂
This is one of instances where I'm glad I read the comments before watching the video...as a result, I don't have to watch and can move along...just wanted to drop that tidbit before I go.
A casual mention to those who have never been to THE Jamestown and haven’t seen some of the history there.. The settlers wouldn’t have survived had the Indians not decided to take pity on them (eventually), and allow them to have resources they needed, because a lot of the un-used land in Jamestown (aka the land not used by the Powhatan tribe) were full of marshes. Yet they had to gawl to treat the Natives poorly. (I went to Jamestown, and the first fact is said and true. There are also suspicions that Pocahontas never “saved John Smith”, similar to how we see in the movie or how it is depicted in paintings.) I personally want to learn more ACCURATE (not white washed) information about the Native Americans, because I’m doing some writing of a character who has Native American ancestors, primarily things of history from the Powhatan tribes and the Cherokee tribes, so learning where I can find such things would be fantastic
Disney Character: *voiced by a black person* Screen Rant: Now this, This is racist
Are you saying it was not racist😑?
@@eternal9512 no it isn't bruh
@@eternal9512 how tf is it racist
@@eternal9512 like it wouldn’t be racist if it’s voiced by a white person😉
They have a reason why voice actors A C T.
As a Jamaican and an African American, I find that pretty inspiring . They’re not being racist, they’re literally supporting black culture in my eyes.
Have they ever seen Hey Mon on In Living Color. We know yall can do 20 jobs at once
Good thing you speaker for yourself and not all black people.
Lol! Yeah man. Fi real
same 😂
I was thinking the same thing! We have got to a place where acknowledging differences is bad. Our differences are wonderful, and noticing them doesn’t make you evil. Some of these stereotypes were shitty, but most were either made up or never meant to be offense. Shoot they got mad that there were good Native Americans and bad ones. Wait..what? 😂🤷🏼♀️
This pisses me so much off. When the cat has slim eyes, people get mad that it's "stereotypical" but as soon as a Chinese character has white eyes, they are mad that it's not portraying the race correctly. Wtf. When a person is naturally "stereotypical" what does it make? Yes, the person gets punished even tho they're literally just existing.
btw Naveen is an Indian name, his mother wears a saree and the name of his kingdom sounds like Maldives so he might as well be a South Asian character. also lot of this was streched
Man I thought Naveen being a different race than Tiana was cool because it made them an interracial couple.
😍💕🗣️
I agree!
Exactly
Wait they aren't the same race 🤭
Janaya Stuff no if you search the web it normally says that naveen is Eurasian or mediterranean
so writers can't make a lazy character? because whatever accent he/she has people will say it's stereotyping a certain race or nationality or whatever...
EvilBunny yeah and also these people forgot that the whole world is not lazy and it's all people including me
EvilBunny now the dick however is unacceptable
If they just got a white guy no one would acuse them of being racist.
yeah xD its so unfair, really its actually racist, its 100% ok to bash white men, thats the other thing, it has to be a man not a woman
yes, lazyness then jump straight to stereotype
Lmaooo the big lips of the fishes in Little Mermaid probably wasn’t intentional. Infact, the person who made this video is the racist one for even realizing that part. Fishes in cartoons just really have big lips.
I'm astounded by how much time people have these days to ponder such things. Perhaps their spare time might be better spent volunteering to help their communities.
Disney Character: *Is not American* Screen rant: that is super racist
Glad to see the narrative falling apart.
You missed
Reductive
Im not an American im Canadian and half native
Now that
Ok,, but for real *How u gonna compare an aristocrat cat to Joseph Stalin*
Ikr
lmaoooo
That’s what I was thinking !!
Lmao, I had to take a minute to process that they weren't joking.
Haha, the moustache... Because only Stalin has a moustache in the entire world.
Also the fact that the first black Disney princess is a green frog for 80% of the movie :) how nice
Pixar: Putting black and white together This guy: Racist
It’s not Pixar it’s Disney, and yes it is because it make no since to have a first POC Disney Princess and not another POC men.
@@officiallilsisi2671 Oh thanks i just dont watch cartoon movie that much
It is for the simple fact they don’t want white American children to see a full African American relationship together

This Guy has multiple personality disorder. So therefore all his personalities disliked it and that’s how we got this video.
@@omfg8465 Wait how do you know that?
No one disliked TLM. How do you even get that
i have heard and read a noticeable amount of complaints
My point lol
So if you make a depiction of a race it's racist but if you don't depict a proper race in a role it's racist too? Is there anything that's not racist?
I really never understood why the media thinks these movies are racist. I’m 30 and I love people of all races, just don’t make me angry
I thought prince's voice in princess and the frog was perfect and it made him seem cuter like the perfect man I lived how he was a little bit to confident and took almost nothing seriously
It just seems like an odd argument here because the so called area of offence is misdirected. Naveen is supposed to be prince of a fictional(so unspecified) country in Europe and his appearance and voice is more Latino.
thats exactly what I thought
but i didnt even think naveen was supposed to be black tho (african american) he came from another country called maldonia or something which could be whatever since it's fictional. I thought he had more of a latin vibe which i thought suited his character and looks
His name was Naveen so he was Indian . He wasn't supposed to be black
Dark Witch his eyes were amber but he comes from a nonexistant country so i guees he could be anything?
"Besides Scar, the hyenas were probably your least favorite, right?" W-what are you talking about, they are literally the best characters in the entire movie. I loved them ever since I was a kid, they are dope as hell
TBH Zazu was my least favorite. He's not bad, it's just that I love all of the characters and most more than Zazu. Least favorite doesn't mean dislike, before anyone says anything.
I LOVED the hyenas...especially the part they shown LOL.
No king no king lalalalalala!
Scar is awesome, simply because of Jeremy Irons. God I love that mans voice.
I thought they were like the Three Stooges
if they haven't told this yet, in frozen 2, general mattias was the only black man out of the guard in the enchanted forest and him and hamila(i don't know if i spelled her name right), the woman he was in love with, are the only black people in the entire franchise
Thank you for this video. It was never really someting I had considered. Kills the enjoyment of the movie. But I totally "get" where disapprovals are coming from.
