I've been boating since I was a very young boy going back to the 1960s. In the '70's, I did some boating around Miami but from the way things seem on all these boating videos that come out of Miami, it's not my kind of boating scene these days. I like where I boat now, up in Central and North Florida. I like that I can go out for a three or four day run, especially up on the Panhandle, and I will hardly ever see another boat. I can pull up on sugar white sandy beaches and be the only boat there. I use mine to get as far "from the maddening crowd" as I can.
Hands (paws) down, my favorite "model" is the Spitz Mini in the mystery boat at 6:50. BEAUTIFUL ;-) Honestly, I'm surprised there aren't more accidents with so many phone absorbed people, bow heavy captain's view blockers, and speed demons out there. Glad there was no damage or injuries. Thanks Boat Zone!

With both boats heading straight towards each other there are multiple wrongs happening. Each boat should have made a slight exaggerated maneuver to show the oncoming boat their intentions minutes before the horn blowing. Twin brothers could have been more towards the right side of the river where as the smaller boat did have a boat on his starboard side
Really? I gather that's your hypothesis being that you can't really tell the distances or that the smaller boat was coming across the bow of the large vessel.
Twin Brothers needs to start by cleaning hull of that boat. What an embarrassment.

Mystery boat guess: Looks like a Foam collared Alum hull like my Safe Boat . I own an early 15’ Prototype but saw custom hull grow from the small outboard hulls we first made in Seattle. After 10 years the patent became mute ….. Foam is closed cell with Linex or similar polyurethane coating. I cut my bait on it for Years! Homeland Security had the bulk then agencies , police and the Rich started paying for bigger and bigger stuff. Mine is from 1992-4 but still ready for use.

Why some boats do not have registration numbers? Maybe above a certain length is not required but even some smaller boats do not have them.
The mystery boat at 6:50ish had the name on it at one time but you can see where the words used to be. If someone that knows the logo well sees the shape they could figure it out.

IMO, the center console is at fault. Trying to zip up the middle around a slower vessel, in a no wake zone. Just my opinion.
I fault the guy driving the boat Twin Brothers. He's in the center of the canal (river). The guy in the center console had no where else to go. I've been up and down that same spot many times, it's not that wide.
The common practice is all vessels coming toward each other throughs channels or other water ways is each boat stay to the right.

It's a floating "platform" that you can unroll and tether to your boat when you are stopped and partying. Will hold multiple people or allow people to hang on and float on their own.
I was in Florida last winter - it's beautiful, and the ocean is a god send, but the culture is so fekin wierd and alienating. Maybe it's where I was ( Clearwater), but it felt like a lot of people were pretty unhappy despite living in paradise.
Third world behavior is making me unhappy, for certain...moving up the coast for sure.

The Sea Ray is at fault for 2 reasons ....first the Sea Ray was going down the center of the canal and only moved to the right after the collision... 2nd the center console had the current pushing him giving him less maneuverability and therefore right of way in a narrow passage.
Not to mention SeaRay technically had the smaller CC to starboard and make the searay the give way vessel, searay is a fucking idiot!

What most people do not realize is only broke people make a big deal out of rich people activities. If you are rich...and this your boat...you do this all the time..and its not a big deal. Your not out dancing around and taking selfies because you are on your boat again for the 1000th time. Notice how the fat woman were just laying around...unmotivated and looked rather un-entertained. That is real money. Those are the people who are rich. The girls dancing around in T-backs...holding their drinks up...and taking a ton of selfies are the girls who are broke. This boat ride is a really big deal to them. If you are rich...you don't upload a picture if your new $1,500 phone because $1,500 is nothing to you. Only broke people upload a picture of their new $1,500 phone because $1,500 is a ALOT of money to broke people. Same when you are dancing around and taking Selfies. You do this when you are broke and this trip is not on your dime. You just got invited...this one time.
