Confused, why is this ambidextrous when the buttons are only on one side? Am I supposed to use my ring finger?

@@lattemotte6983 Hi, the mouse isn't ambidextrous but the form factor of the M42 is generally referred to as an ambi shape. With the mouse buttons on one side only, it is still a right-handed design.
Thr fact that they introduced the option to change size and shape, massive game changer.

Had my retro M42 for about a week and I love it I honestly think if u guys made a wireless mouse it’ll be easily a top 3 mouse
I might buy this, and even if I don't I just got to give props to xtrfy for being suck a good company that listens to the community and is always releasing awesome products. I would if they released an gateron yellow/silver switch keyboard tho, I would buy it for sure if the price was good.

Mine is coming in three days, this will have to do for now until Razer releases that Viper Mini Ultimate. I'm excited for this mouse because I loved the Viper Mini and RocketJumpNinja says this is better than it.

Better clicks on the ZA mice imo. I'm really sick of all the Omron switches these days..
@@sjofelumsk How so? It more depends on the shell. The ZA-B has a new click structure for lighter clicks, even though it's still Huano.
Leopardipzg Dude, i’ve tried the new za13-b coz i liked an old za13 clicks a lot, but main clicks on the new one are trash, they are too light, not tactile at all. Old za13 clicks are still the best between all Zowie mice.
@@alexkarp130 well with the ZA13 my problem is hard clicks, after 15minutes they tire my hand and I'll end up with sore fingerjoints at the end of the day. As long as they're not Logitech light, should be fine.
hi, sometimes in my M4 is moving something inside, i've always take care about it, waht u guys think it is? for the rest is near to perfection.
Large buttons hanging off to the sides are so bad. Make it more like zowie/logitech so that it doesn't interfere with certain grip styles.

@@greippuli9166 It's sold out in every damn country around me. Unless I want to wait god knows how long and/or pay heavy shipping costs.
I love the build quality but it's way too narrow for me. My hands are 18x9 cm and it feels like I'm pinching the base of my thumb to the other side of the hand. Grip it and flip it over and you'll know what I mean but it also depends on how you hold the mouse. I don't hold the mouse deep in my palm or the fingers at the very front of the mouse. The front or the buttons are also too low, I wish it was high as the M4.
Will this work on xbox I expect you to do it ma man.

It looks Nice, The Xtrfy? 42. But I like more egenomic shape on mice. So I prefer Xtrfy M4. I'll buy the xtrfy m4 in christmas🙂 But I can tell, The Xtrfy K4 was very Nice! But If I can test the Xtrfy M42 in a store in sweden, I maybe change my mind🤔
If you're planning to buy the M4, why not the M42? If you can wait.. Same price but M42 is upgraded with a ambi and ergo back.. But it's your choice..
@@veeci2468 the m42 is ambi only, you cannot make it ergo. The two different back pieces are both ambi bu with two different sizes, not shapes

this one currently has the top spot on my list. i went through all new and past year mices and if u are looking for a small, lightweight mice, this it it.. unless tomorrow releases something new and better haha.
Please make a version with no holes on the sides!
u can always buy grip tape specialy for mouse and put those on sides depending on the thickness its maybe 2 grams extra but u lose the holes :D
@Marcus Bore Putting holes on mice is a lazy way of reducing weight instead of making the inside lightweight and using thinner plastic they just put a bunch of holes and say done. Look at mice like the Viper Mini and Kone Pure Ultra they are lightweight mice and have zero holes it's not 2018 anymore when Finalmouse was the only one making lightweight mice and everyone rushed to make their own lightweight mice. There is no reason to release a mouse with holes in 2020 when it has been proven you can make one without holes and still be only 60 grams I expect in about a year the vast majority of lightweight mice will have no holes.

@@morky3673 I had already the model o and it felt too big for me in my hand and I had the model o minus which I liked more than the model o but it felt too small a little bit
@@ricosvault i feel you. Xm42 is probably smaller than both without the back hump. Its more similar to the sensei or the mm710 in terms of shape and size.
@@morky3673 I never had both of these mice. I had a roccat kone pure, gpw, model o (-), model d -, g wolves Hati, final mouse ultralight 2, razer Viper ultimate/mini and now a modded FK1-b. I think RJN said in his review something about that people who like the fk series would like this mouse.. But I dunno if you say it is and feels even smaller than the model o minus I don't thinks it's for me, that's why I'm trying to investigate before buying again a new mouse.
@@ricosvault check the dimensions because im not sure if its smaller. It defs looks like a more raised, compact shape than the fk series.
why would you want to swap parts when you cant change the shape? if the case that would surely have been included in an introduction video such as this

okay but can you please just make a software for this ffs, my xtrfy m4 mouse sensor just changed out of nowhere, i wasnt having this stupid "dynamic smoothness" when u lift off, its messing up with my aim ffs.
I was gonna buy this mouse, but after finding out that it doesn't have a software, I bought the HyperX Pursefire haste instead. A gaming mouse in 2020 should come with a software. The software allows you to bind something to that DPI button. It also allows you to bind keyboard keys to other mouse buttons. I fly jets a lot in BF4 and I like binding pitch up(space bar) to mouse 5.

No this is the way lighter the m4 is 69 grams whereas this is as low as 59 grams, this beats it by a long shot :)
@@yasinaden7208 True but Ive tried this shape already in Viper and G PRO. Not my cup of tea. Some said that M4 has extreme shape but I cant agree. Its more comfy than Razer Viper which I considered that fits me like a glove :) But when you play hard you see after a few weeks that there is one tiny thing - mice like G PRO, Viper or this new M42 dont feel like they are glued to your hand, I mean you dont control them in 100% when you have to do a fast flick and be super precized at the same time. I mean Im not a pro Im just saying how I feel. So... ambidextrous mice - cool and fast but only ergonomic mouse can hit my heart :) And M4 is great, becasue its light and not big but still fast and fits like a glove.

Please make silent switches! Be the first true gaming mouse with silent switches! You could be the first true ones to get this market you don't know how many people would buy silent switch perfect for late night gaming too!
The thing about silent switches is that they would need some sort of dampening to make them silent. This dampening would lead to increased mushyness and make the clicks feel cheap and hard to jitter click with compared to standard switches. If they want to make silent switches, they would also need to design it themselves which would cost a lot more money than just buying quality but affordable switches from Omron or Huano.
