He is but I think it’s kinda to troll Ryan. Some fans like to say Haney is more Mexican than Ryan because like a lot of Mexican fighters Devin got his start in Mexico. Bill would take Devin to Mexico and that’s where he cut his teeth as a novice. Ryan doesn’t speak Spanish and “quit” in the tank fight so he kinda goes against the stereotype of a “Mexican boxer”.

Guys I do not understand things about making weight n everything..... he didn't make the weight so now what? The fight has is cancelled/ postponed or it's happening ?
So typically whenever guys miss weight the fighter has to forfeit a percentage of their pay to their opponent. It could easily end up being hundreds of thousands. Usually we’re only talking about someone being off by .5 pound and or 1.5 pounds. 3 pounds is crazy. Some fighters wouldn’t even fight if their opponent missed by that much. For Ryan Haney accepted. The contract quickly gets adjusted and renegotiated then boom fights still on.
