I'm not audio expert, but used many in ear buds over the years, and find Buds 2 Pro very pleasing. Hard to explain, but the sound doesn't appear to come from my ear, rather sounds source feels like far away like in concert hall which gives more natural feel. I like it.

It's true that the eartips are smaller and don't get far in the ear but that's a strength too. The Buds 2 Pro are incredibly comfortable! I can have them on for hours and my ears don't get tired.

anyone know the wattage I can use to charge the Buds 2 Pro? I only have a 25W charger from Samsung and I'm worried about ruining the battery life.
I have the Buds Plus, the Buds 2, and the Buds 2 Pro and I think they're all excellent. But I feel the Buds Plus with its winged design is better for the gym as the wings help them lock better in your ears. The Buds 2 are a bit more comfy in bed as they are a bit sleeker and the Buds 2 Pro are the best for features and sound quality is a notch better than the Buds 2. Although sometimes I find myself liking the sound of the 2s better, so I'm gonna have to check the settings on both to see which one is truly the winner for me.

Sony and Pixel's mics sounds dope.
I exchanged my buds2 for buds 2 pro. I think the mic on the buds2 pro is worse than the ones on buds2. Making calls, many times I've been told they can't hear me. Never had this issue w my buds2 :c
Brother do you have a video for linkbuds s vs samsung galaxy buds2 pro? And what is the app for samsung earbuds?
I have both, and yes, the buds 2 pro has a more neutral sound, and due to its high water resistance rating, this is my go-to buds for running. WFXM5 do have more punch and have a balanced tuning and I use it for traveling due to the ANC and battery
I got the buds2 pro but they leak sound so badly that I had to return them. Have you had similar experience with these?

@xyz0000xyz1 after three weeks, no mine do not leak audio. Much better then my brothers pair of ear pods
2:15 For the EQ settings of the galaxy buds 2 pro, you can actually adjust them to be custome. It's just that this setting isn't in the wearables app. It's in the regular phone settings. You have to open device settings, then "sounds and vibration", then "sound quality and effects", then "Equalizer". It's a bit hidden in settings, but it does exist. Just make sure the Equalizer is on normal in the wearables app before changing things in settings. Note: this affects not just the galaxy buds 2 pro sound though, but the overall sound output of the phone. So whatever you customized thru this method would apply to your phone's normal speakers as well, and if you pair your phone to a different audio device.
I use these on a samsung with "sound assistant" eq app, works well.
I actually returned xm5 and got buds2 pro instead. Maybe my unit was faulty but xm5's call quality and brief connection drops in a busy area were just too annoying. Sound quality was great though, I would say better than buds 2 pro. Although ANC was much better it felt actually weird for me as those goes deep in ur ear and I feel so pressured all the time, I prefer buds 2 pro in this department. Ambient mode was a joke and it was barely usable in wind with xm5, at least buds 2 pro was automatically stopping ambient mode in a windy environment and actually feels more natural.
It is weird that since I change to the s23 ultra from the mi9T, my skullcandy earbud cannot tap to answer incoming calls from 3rd party app. I wonder if it was the fault of the phone or the earbuds, and if I get the bud2s pro, will it work again?
I found that I can use the sound enhancements and equalizer on my s23 ultra separate from, or along with sound enhancement offered on the earbud app. All in all I'm satisfied with these earbuds but do not care that much for the silicone earpieces. Medium is a little too small and large is too tight and aches after a while. The memory foam ear pieces are always better than the silicone ones. They're much more comfortable and have way better sound. I'm looking for a pair that is made specifically for these earbuds.
Where are you able to independently adjust the sound settings on your S23? I own an S20 Ultra. I'm using the Galaxy Wearable app to control these.

Yea according to allot of people these are the best buds for Galaxy phones which is good for me because i just bought a Z Fold 5 which i will get in about a week when the order comes into store.
The 3d tracking and with ambient sound on blew my mind.
Still the best in my opinion is the old XM3, yes others have better sound, anc and features but the 1 thing that makes the XM3 great was the ease to replace the battery. These newer earbuds are great but the battery degradation is just ridiculous, they only usually lasts around 2 years.
Bear in mind there are no perfect TWS. I bought my Buds2 Pro few weeks ago and these are great pair of earbuds for only $120! Sound quality and Call Audio Quality is super! ANC is decent. Fit is decent and eartips could have been better, ears doesn’t seal fully; ANC kinda helps in that regard. Can't wear them for too long though.. my ears sweat and then they become loose after a while. Battery life is enough cause I don’t listen to music or talk on the phone all day; in my case 2-3 hours maximum daily usage. And there were days I didn’t even had to charge my buds. These are very powerful earbuds in terms of connectivity, I feel like there was zero delays in terms of audio playback; never noticed any slight glitch or lag. Touch controls works flawlessly. I mean at $120 this is a huge win for me.
how were you able to get yours for only 120?
@@akawale9017 I guess it depends on your location. I bought mine from a local store through online delivery; they're selling at 50% discount. Thank you for the tip (when I turn off the "360 audio", sound quality improves when listening to music). I was almost returning the buds if it hadn't been your tip. Thanks. On the other hand, I tested many headphones and buds. I still haven't found the quality I expected yet. (I am an entry-level audiophile). I think wired headphones are still better when it comes to sound quality. But of course, they are not convenient enough compared to wireless units.
Samsung Adapt Sound has worked wonders in fine tuning different notes for different hearing ranges. Definitely go through adapt sound with the buds before knocking the equalizer not giving you exactly what you want.
Thanks for the video! How is the Bluetooth range on them in case you get physically far away from the phone with the Buds in your ears?
Is there a reason why the 360 isnt showing up in my app? The option just isnt there, is it because its not compatible with my older phone?
Loved my buds 2 pro, but after an update, my right earbuds volume SIGNIFICANTLY decreased. Sent it back to Samsung since it was still under warranty, and they couldn't send me another unit. Instead, sending me a full refund. Luckily, I still have Buds Pro from last year. Might wait for the next generation before I purchase again.
Maybe thats whats wrong with mine, I've got the buds+ and i wear them 8hrs a day, 5 days a week for like the last 4 or 5 yrs ( i forget how long I've had them) the right side barely has any sound since i accidentally dropped it, but the right side has just randomly started sounding heaps quiter. If machinery is around i can hardly hear the podcasts anymore and i thought they were just reaching their time
I'm currently using JBL reflect mini nc earbuds, but I'm thinking of buying these. I currently don't have a samsung device, but I'll buy S24 Ultra when it comes out. Do the buds have a find feature to make noise to find them if I drop it for example in grass? Something like the alarm if I walk away from them. If they do, does it work with non-samsung devices?
I realize your question is 5 mos old, but yes, they utilize the Samsung SmartThings app to locate them. Once you're in close proximity to them, you can ring them. They detect the left and right buds separately as well.
I upgraded to these earlier in the year from the original galaxy buds I bought in like 2019. I love the improvement in sound quality (even on an iPhone) plus the noise cancelling I wish the microphone was a bit better for calls

Can anyone compare the mic quality for phone calls with the Galaxy Buds Pro? I have the 1st gen buds pro and have had to ditch them for phone calls bc everyone to a T complained they couldn't understand me well. The buds pro 2 don't sound stellar on this video, appreciate any input.
The spatial audio setting is basically a series of digital algorithms that imitate ambisonic audio. When combined with Dolby atmos, the audio signal is effected by 360 audio or Dolby Atmos, THEN that effected signal is processed again by the other signal processor. They are both designed to effect regular audio, not effected audio. It's a bit of a silly oversight to even allow both at the same time. 360 audio is a GREAT feature to have, of you can figure a way to incorporate it into listening to Binaural, ambisonic or similar audio tracks. If it could be utalised while editing audio, it would be a one of the best things since sliced bread.
I got my buds about 3 months ago and I definitely love the sound and the ease of using them the real major problem I have with them is no matter what ear cushion I use on them they're ALWAYS popping out of my ears. I thought maybe it was because of the way I was inserting them in my ear but I watched a few videos and I'm installing them properly. I will never buy another pair specifically for this reason.
Shocking fit regardless what tips fitted, need wingtips for sure,I've had to turn off the tap feature so I can keep pushing them back into the ear.
Glad it's not just me, they're awfully fitting, my old buds are much better...I'd have been pissed if I paid for them.

The buds 2 pro can be found for £80 in the uk since there given away in phone deals and people sell them on ebay. You can adjust the EQ in samsung phone settings, and the EQ will be different depending on if the buds are connected or not. There's not much to complain about considering the price.
So persons buying samsung phones sell them on e-bay? In UK? Are these sealed? Some sellers sell multiples of these on ebay.

Buds 2 pro is 150$ while xm5 is 400$. So i picked them and happy right now
1. Can't we just replace those Samsung buds if that's an issue for bass performance with something like Sony's ? 2. Mic sounds good
Thanks for the info. Was helpful
I'm confused.... Those features that you mentioned at the end of the video aren't Samsung Galaxy exclusive... anyone can install the app and use those features. Even the ability to be paired to multiple devices
Yeah, that’s my bad. I didn’t mean for it to sound like Samsung phone exclusive. SSC and Samsung device switching are the only real Samsung device exclusive features I believe - Josh
This was helpful. I am considering upgrading to the S24 Ultra because Samsung is offering me $650 if I trade in my S22 Ultra. I can also buy a pair of Galaxy Buds 2 Pro for S49.99 if I upgrade my phone. I guess that is, in effect, a really good sale. I have a pair of the original Galaxy Buds that I very rarely use because they kept falling out of my ears. I've tried other earbuds over the last few years, but all have had issues. Most recently, I purchased a pair of Raycon earbuds. I've only used them twice because every time I put them in my ears, I got contact dermatitis and had extremely itchy ear canals for weeks. Since I hadn't experienced that with any other earbuds, I tried cleaning the ear tips with isopropyl alcohol and a cue tip and tried them again. I got 2 more weeks of itchy ears for my trouble. As a result, I have mostly just been using wired earbuds with a USB C adapter. Since I haven't been able to find anything online about the silicon in Raycon earbuds being different than that used by other manufacturers, I am reluctant to pay $300 for Sony earbuds; that may be great, but it also might give me more ear rashes. But I think risking $50 is more reasonable.
I have these buds and your review is spot on. I literally yeld out that's what I've been saying when you got to the eartips 😆 Any chance you've found some aftermarket tips for them that work better?
What are the three best today??
what should I get, Jabra Elite 7 Active or Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2?
I have a Momentum TWS3 but a shortcoming of the TWS3 with Android devices is that it does not activate mono mode when a single earbud is used. Therefore, I find myself using the Buds Pro more than the TWS3 as I usually use a single earbud while walking. But the Buds Pro sound quality is becoming less than ideal as time goes on so I might upgrade to the Buds2 Pro. I wonder if the Sony wf-whatevers switch to mono with a single earbud.
I just got my buds2 pro the sound quality is OK, the battery is OK for me but the ANC needs more work and did I mention it's super comfortable. I can literally forgot them in my ear with no discomfort

I have sony xm5, jabra 65/75/85t, and these Bud2pros. The Samsung are the cheapest ($49.00), they sound great only the jabras sound better, and its very close. The Sony's sound good but only with ANC, and tight fit.
I've had these for a few months now. Since then some of the features were not working as they should like the volume up and down by tapping the inside of the bud and calls weren't coming through clearly and the battery life was sub par. I did a reset and now everything works perfectly. Just a rip for anyone having problems with their buds to try. I'm still amazed at how they perform, like even the ANC works better, it's so weird.

Does the voice detect work on a non galaxy device?
Can I charge these with any power bank or samsung 25 watt charger, will it impact battery life
Thanks for a great review. This one definitely helped me make my decision
You actually have full control over the equalizer. If you use the equalizer that’s built into a Samsung phone. It will overwrite that you can also Taylor the sound to your specific ears. You’re absolutely right the fit of the Tips suck that’s why I brought comply, phone tips, which don’t perfectly fit in my ear, but creates a clear difference between the stock tips. Great video though!
Taylor? 😂😂😂
You can customize the eq but you have to do it from the phone settings not the wear app.
I'm loving Samsung products these days but I had to return these buds. I have the Tab S9 Ultra, Galaxy watch 6 classic and Z Fold 4 so I picked these buds up. The white noise was too loud and the anc was weak compared to the Sonys xm5. I hope Samsung release a much better set of buds soon because I would like to get even more into the ecosystem.
In my opinion, ANC isn’t weak. It’s enough to make you comfortable but let's you hear a bit of your surroundings so that you won't get hit by a truck or something when you're crossing the road. Though, they could've made it even better if they've given you a slider to set how high or low you'd like the ANC. I mean, these buds are powerful don't get me wrong; if they wanted to do the ANC like complete vacuum of silence they would've nailed it but they didn’t want to risk customers suing them for road accidents. And yes Transparency mode is loud AF. And Galaxy Buds2 Pro released a year ago while SONY WF-1000XM5 only came a month ago so please don't compare these two.
@@sheikhabdullah873 it’s a fair comparison for me because these were the options available while I was looking. & yes, the ANC is weak in my opinion. 4:28 Samsung has since pushed out and update so turning 360 audio on will turn off Dolby Atmos and vice versa.
Sorry to say but I wonder how much you really use the device and the buds. I see you have the s23 ultra and as you may very well know you can adjust the EQ from sound quality and effects under sound settings. The same way you can adjust the Dolby atmos settings to make it fit your hearing age. In terms of sound, base is not a measure you would use when talking about sound quality, actually the sound performance of the buds are very very good once you see the real sound output graph. Just saying in order to actually really review a device you should really go deep into them. Fit is also another factor that is very subjective as ear shape and ear canal has lots to do with that. I have multiple earbuds including this one and I use foam ear tips and the noise isolation is very great. Every company does a specific frequency block with ANC and that really will depend on how you define Noise cancelling for yourself as it's a very subjective thing to say. Completely noise isolation won't even happen on the sony buds as it's been tested in labs against other buds and it really doesn't fair that well. Anyways there are ways of improving the buds and yes they are not perfect but from the range I have they actually are very good with good sound fidelity not basey punch sound output.
"base is not a measure you would use when talking about sound quality," What? Bass is definitely something you consider with sound quality. This makes me think you have no idea what you're talking about. Bass, mids, and treble are ALL about sound quality. The level of bass, the impact, the dynamics, and the detail all matter with bass and accurate sound reproduction. "the sound performance of the buds are very very good once you see the real sound output graph". Yep. I was right. You don't know anything about audio quality. Sound graphs aka Frequency Graphs don't tell the whole story. The ear tip design and material and about how it fits in the ear makes a HUGE difference in sound quality. Frequency graphs only tell half the story with audio quality. Please don't comment with misinformation, ever again.
Have the galaxy buds special audio like the airpods pro 2?,
The Samsung does have a proper EQ, if you go into the main phone settings - sounds and vibration - sound quality and effects, the equaliser there has a custom setting that allows you to adjust everything like a proper EQ. It also has the advantage of adapt sound, where it'll do a hearing test and customise the sound to your age.
I don’t know, when I use the buds it sounds like the sound is coming far away. Like how it sounds when you go to a live show/concert, even a movie theater. It’s really weird, not sure if it’s a bug
Dont get these if your planning on listening to music in public . Sound leak is literally like having a small speaker on your ears. EVERYONE HEARS WHAT YOU"RE HEARING at 60% volume
I just bought few days back, everytime i move,or did not move,it keep on pause,or auto skip my audio without touching anything, n when i lay down sideways,it start to stop n keep switching. Pls help how to disable the auto annoying pause
Lol. There are fancy car companies advertising they can now fssture Hall effect. You do you know how hard it is to calculate the distance of an object and have it play back as if it was truly at that distance? How try that with 4 galaxy headphones. It still works. That's because galaxies have hardware optimized audio stacks which is why they already supported 3D audio back during the gear VR, in fact the the oculus is really just the gear VR. The audio stack also support volume normalisation, uhq, up scaling, 192 24khz output via USB, full agency free audio synthesization from any wav file stacked through thousands of filters played with any midi control live on stage or for recording, the ability to play as many audio sources as you want and split them off to varying sources so only the game your playing and your notifications remains on your phone, am I missing anything? Can aosp even do any of that? Can it even do local volume normalisation or even gaploess playback or does it need server-side processing? You can literally do anything on a galaxy way to the g7 without even root, you could spoof the pixel, run 2 additional instances of android with 3 ip addresses. Floating windows, multi tasking, auto optimisation, knox secure folders that each only make the others more impossible to hack. The headphones support zero latency, my note 8 still uses magnetic pulse tech to use s pay anywhere even on old 1970s has stations and metros. The dsp allows for the health app to run without any privacy risks at all simply body motion and it works fine. The galaxy watch doesn't even need goodle. You simply side load and everything that works for galaxies work better anywhere. It constantly tracks my blood pressure, type of exercise, speed and pace, stress levels, sleep cycles, body metrics which is amazing, I can do anything I can do on my phone on my watch and anything on my computer j can do to on my phone. Have you tried connecting multiple blutooth headphones to a laptop or tablet? Works fine on a galaxy tab or fold. I think you just literally don't know how to use technology so a Guinea pig phone that always needs it's fast and frequency updates feels like it's saving you from yourself when it's just using you as a free bug catcher.
Whats the price of it? Im about to purchase it cause my apple airpods gen 3 recently went through after having it for 3 years. Whats the difference?
My mum is gonna buy the z flip 5 tomorrow. one of the freebies is the Galaxy Buds2 Pro which she is giving to me. Luckily for me my phone is a sumsung specifically A05s. I'm very excited to try out my new buds! Please give me any tips to take care my buds.
Is there a way for my phone to stop playing through the buds when I open the case until I actually take out the buds?
I suspect the bass is lighter to keep the ear buds lasting that little bit longer but I could be wrong.
Note: in the phone settings app, there is a fully customizable EQ, that only applies to the buds and not the phone speakers, and vice versa!!
Atmos is not possible with only 2 speakers or with the device you also show as boucing sound is not several soundsources and sound cannot be focused or be directional without being positioner 7.1 or above speaker system
Ordered some in the sales, arriving later today, how would you rate the value at a mere £50? after Samsungs current £80 cashback deal on them?
sre you sure you order the buds2 pro and not the buds2 for that price?
I just got my Buds Pro today. Saw them for $100. SNAGGED! and glad. The ambience setting is the perfect setting for a work place environment. You can almost forget they are even in your ears. I'm still fiddling around with the Voice Detection. Just the idea of auto dropping your volume when talking to someone should have made me buy these on release.
The pixel and sony mics sound natural. The others are artifact-y.
Just got mine today. I really like them, sound pretty good to me.
I love the buds 2 Pro but I can't wear them anymore due to a allergic reaction I get due to the materials Samsung uses.
Detail review 🎉. 👌
The Sony and Pixel Buds sound the best. As a Pixel owner, I'd rather get those than the Buds 2 Pro.
