Alternative reason: the replacement screen isn’t properly picking it up… The Apple Pencil isn’t really responsible for the position tracking, that’s don’t in the iPad itself.
If you watch the whole video you see that isn’t the case as replacing the chip makes the lines go straight in the new display

But literally in Androids it's like a nightmare! You can't even open two apps at a time, suddenly it starts lagging, Android tablets 4GB ram literally feels like 2GB ram,for example if you're taking notes on an Android tablet,and you also want to watch a video to take notes effectively,bro that's seriously impossible in Android,so much of strucking and lagging sometimes for no reason,you can't run high qualified games on it,I once installed genshin on my samsung s9 tablet and that's it! Even with the lowest settings I had a nightmare.... Tbh you can't even run roblox smoothly on it 💀iPads can run all the same games that iPhones can, granting iPad owners access to a vast library of games,ipads can even run the powerful apps and games effortlessly, I'm running my genshin on ipad 9th generation with sometimes higher quality settings and sometimes moderate settings, it's running literally so smooth without any problems or lagging like those Android tablets

Apples store use a patent central AC unit with an ionic carbon filter UVC light and a patent Air circulation mixture with compressed oxygen. There AC Units are repaired by a specific Apple contracted company first time it was noticed was by there employees. After 8hr shift employees would leave and feel out of breath in regular ambient and apple had to come out and say there store has extra oxygen to make there customers more comfortable.

You're right. Any tech company worth their salt will calibrate the digitizers in their devices so they work correctly and store the calibration data for the specific digitizer in the device on the chip. Otherwise they'd be putting out really wonky tablets.
The EU is currently on their way of banning some of Apples anti consumer practices across Europe, so there's a chance of them banning this too

As a retail employee, I can say apple has been serializing their pencils for awhile now. Our company makes us scan the serial as a second prompt.
I don't think you actually understand what serializing means in this context. It has nothing to do with anything being scanned. It's about the chip for the display having a serial number that is linked to a chip in the Apple Pencil.

I’m a repair person who works with Apple products and I can assure you, what the KZheadr is talking about is complete BS. Apple Pencils don’t register themselves to the iPad, as in if the pencil is serialized it doesn’t matter. You buy the pencil separately anyways, it works with any iPad that you connect it to. The KZheadr is just making up fake rage bait to get people angry and boost engagement.

People have been saying that for actual decades now, one of the first viral videos about it talking about how apple would try to get you to buy a new (original) ipod instead of replacing the battery in the one you have, predated youtube and still went viral at the time. Are you kidding me? As someone who can repair iPads and just so happens to be an artist using an iPad to draw, this is outrageous. I wanted to buy a broken iPad pro and fix it, as I can't afford one new or 2nd hand, but I guess this throws a wrench in my plans. I'm so upset.

I've seen this issue first hand. I thought my workmate just had shocking handwriting, until I used his iPad and Apple pencil. It made it look like I had Parkinson's! His iPad pro screen was recently replaced...
If you WERE actually an artist you’d notice that he was drawing the red lines very slowly which is why they are less stable when in contrast his green lines are more stable, besides if you use an art program theres usually an option for stabilization, so this is ultimately misinformation that apple is “serializing” their screen displays when anyone with an ounce of art knowledge just knows he was drawing slower and thus less stabley
@@applepie2209 I'm not an artist, but like I mentioned, I've experienced this issue myself. After drawing a hundred or so circles, I noticed that the "glitches" are in lines. That said, I agree he should have drawn all the lines at the same speed for a fairer comparison.

It could be that apple is calibrating the pen to the display from the factory thus explaining why switching the microchip resolved the issue.
considering they displays are calibrated and there is a calibration profile on them, you would need to reset your iPad for the pencil to work.
This is worth more attention! Not saying apple is free of this, but we should take all possibilities into consideration
You'd think that it would occur to an experienced repairman that the calibration data is stored on that chip.
Thank you!! Wacom had this same problem on some of their tablets after an update and it turns out it just caused the calibration to get off. I think this is much more likely of an explanation!

They didn’t lie, because it was in the patch notes iirc (just no one actually goes through them). But they could’ve been waaaaaay more transparent about it. I get that clocking the processor down with a worn out battery was to prevent it from shutting off but if I want the full performance at the risk of it randomly shutting off that’s my business.

If someone says they're not going to hit you and they hit you, they get charged for the act of hitting you, not lying about it. This is what the guy who found out about the slowing down through testing said 5 years ago: "This is a problem that has happened to many android phones as well, and even a lot of laptops. If you’ve ever had a laptop that dies as soon as the power cord is plugged, you know what I mean.The battery is worn, the resistance goes up, and when current is drawn, the voltage drops, meaning it can’t sustain enough power to give to the device, and it shuts down. Your phone can't update to the latest because they stopped supporting it. iPhone 6 came out in 2014 and was supported with OS updates for five years after that. Lots of android phones back in the day got none to very little updates. Now thankfully things have changed with google and Samsung guaranteeing a certain amount of OS updates for THEIR brand devices. Apple though has for a long time supported their phones with software updates for around 5 years generally.
Electronics hobbyist here, almost all analog sensors on the market require an initial calibration( and I mean every single unit you buy requires it to be done individually). An apple pencil has several of these. These calibration values are used to adjust the sensor readings to get more accurate values. It is highly possible that Apple may be storing these calibration values for the pencil-display pair in the chip that you mentioned and changing one of them causes calibration mismatch and hence the squiggly lines. A quick workaround for apple would be to make a calibration app to let users do it themselves and overwrite the factory values in these cases. Not defending them in any manner but this may not be a serial number issue.

how they calibrated it is beyond me but chips do have self-calibrations functions or something called BIST to detect whatever faulty parts it have on-the-fly so it still apple's fault if they didn't implement them correctly

You guys do realise that the chip that the guy swapped probably contained calibration data for the display digitizer. It is possible that they are doing this on purpose but in this situation I think that this could actually be a byproduct of changing the display and it not being calibrated for the device. I also do not realize how this is a serialization of the pencil ? If anything they screw you with the display repair...
