My personal theory is that intelligent alien life does exist in the universe, but humans are the most technologically advanced which is why we've never made contact with any of them. It would be like someone traveling back in time then trying to call Alexander Graham Bell with their cellphone; the technology is similar but too advanced to communicate.
I believe these Alien videos are just different answers/ solutions to the Fermi Paradox (You know, the one that says "If there are SO MANY livable planets in the Universe, why haven't we seen any aliens yet?!"). In this video, the answer is "Maybe Space is hard to colonize so we don't see much Alien activity", another video the answer was "Maybe Aliens aren't really nice to each other so they hide for safety". But it's incredibly fascinating that right now, we DON'T KNOW what the true answer IS! So any and all of these solutions could be true! Of course, they're all based on assumptions regarding ourselves but what can you really do? Some commenters on the video did point out that "If an Alien civilization has the ability to colonize planets... wouldn't it just be easier to make Megastructures in space and live on those instead?"... *So expect a Kurzgesagt video on that at some point!* Also, Moana IS based off of the Polynesians in real life hence why you're getting those Moana vibes. The music in this video also kind of seems similiar to music in Moana too! I really do hope that the Discovery of Aliens would be a "Good Thing" for us. That they're a Civilization of Peaceful, Advanced Aliens that can help us Silly Monkeys get better at existing as well! Maybe we can stop our pointless squabbles and just work together and creating the best lives we can for all of us!... Or we nuke each other to death and are just a footnote in some Alien's Textbook...
