This only remaining MAZ 7310 URAGAN fire engine in Estonia. It is built to the same chassis as MAZ-543, same artillery truck which carried Scud/Elbrus rockets. This truck has factory frame number 13 and was initially used in Tallinn airport. Later it was used by Viljandi firefighters brigade and since 2011 it resides in Järva-Jaani machinery collection, details in varjupaik.jjts.ee/.

  • Having a thorough knowledge of American firefighting equpment, from 30's to modern day, I have always been interested in foreign gear, soviet era vehicles take the cake

    • Those vehicles were designed mostly for the airports and I think they are still there in service. Usually they have a very small mileage and shouldn't be worn out at all.

  • В условиях городской застройки эта машина неприменима. Использовалась раньше на советских аэродромах. Возможно, что где-то эксплуатируется и по сей день

    • @@__G1LZA__ Для Лесозаготовительных Предприятий и Баз лучше всего подходят Пожарные Танки - на базе Танков, куда надстраивают огромный Кубический Бак со Стволом. Есть и другие варианты Пожарных Танков с башнями и без, а ещё Залповых Порошковых Установок наподобие того же ТОС "Солнцепек"/"Буратино".

    • @@__G1LZA__ Эти в принципе тоже вполне и хорошо сгодятся (по Объему Цистерны (ещё и с Подогревом), мощности Насоса и Ствола). Только если им есть там где развернуться, а ещё если пожар не разгорится по полной. Тогда и этим Аэродромникам придется драпать - пожар на Лесозаготовках - это не пожар на ВПП Аэропорта.

    • Starting with the BT-7 and ending with the T-90, there are B-series engines based on the licensed Western engine model, B-series engines are used on tanks and D-series engines on heavy trucks, but they have one base

  • These sort of people are the real heroes of the world like ambulance crew , hospital doctors , nurses they are the real heroes of the world think of how many people they help a day never mind a year and they go unnoticed sometimes, but if a celebrity helps a elderly women across the road or stops a mugging there all over the news paper and for footballers knowadays the money they get it should be the other way around don't get me wrong I love football still do but back in the day that's wen it was proper tough footie 70s and 80s and 90s , knowadays some are earning like £250'000 a week , them firefighters properly don't get that much a year between them all especially back in the 90s , anyway its a fine truck , godbless you,

    • Even today a lot of Eastern block fire departments don’t have the resources to get new gear. And a lot of companies from the US even donated to Russia, Ukraine, etc.

People that have sacrificed time. blood, sweat, mental health, life to aid another or others at no reward or pay with generally no equipment, training, ability aren't hero's of the first magnitude?   • i never knew they used these as fire trucks! Must be a cool experience to drive one of these. I think it is better suited for putting out forest fires or on airport duty.

    • I've seen these trucks at several airports, Dushanbe and Bishkek International respectively. I think they're meant for airport duty much like the Oshkosh Stryker.

    • Those types of fire engines were manufactured in Belarus between 1973-1982 (some sources say until 1986), but the military counterpart is still in production. And a few of them are still operational on airports in some parts of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Russia, but recently a lot of them were replaced, because they constantly break and finding spare parts is becoming hard. The modern counterpart of this fire engine would be the АА-13/60 (6560) based on the KamAZ-6560 platform.

    • Потому что МАЗ в Белоруссии один автозавод , а в России подобных заводов было несколько, КамАЗ , Урал, газ и вот ЗИЛ единственный который не смог удовлетворить потребности военных, а без заказов со стороны военных трудно было выжить в кризисные времена для России, но вот уже достоверно известно что завод ЗИЛ будут строить новый , но уже за пределами Москвы

    • In Poland we not used MAZ trucks in fire dept. In communism era mostly we used polish trucks like Star or Jelcz. They were still popular even in first years of new millenium.

    • То РСЗО, а это Автомобильное шасси Минского завода, на котором собран АА - Автомобиль Аэродромный. И на это же шасси стоит РСЗО "Смерч", был ОТРК, а ещё тоже Пожарный АР (Рукавный) - не помню число, на сколько километров Рукавов. И кунги для Ракетчиков.

    • @@user-pt5tj7wc2v В данном случае - как раз название Шасси. Эти тяжёлые МАЗы-тягачи все вроде назывались "Ураган". А вот РСЗО "Ураган" стоит на шасси ЗиЛ-135, а на этом МАЗ стоит РСЗО "Смерч". У меня в Коллекции все эти модели в наличии - с описаниями. Я их в реальности видел и лазил по ним. Так что я тут не просто зашёл писать чепуху - много где бывал, видал, летал, ходил по воде и катался по земле и снегу. Есть что вспомнить...

    • @@user-pt5tj7wc2v Ну не знаю - в таких случаях надо приводить официальные источники, начиная с Технической Литературы на эти МАЗы (Руководств и Учебников по Эксплуатации, ТО и Ремонту), а также Исторических хроник КБ и Завода. Потому что в других местах (в журналах, интернет, моделях, игрушках, конструкторах) это часто встречалось.
