  • That is going to be two top notch rental units since you found the weaknesses in both pieces. By the time you send them back, they are going to almost like new. The next company to run them is going to be very happy, but a shame they slowed you down.

  • That wrecking ball is awesome and with the new cable on it, it's even better! The longer cable give you stronger impact force too. Wow, that upper screen is almost plugged solid! I hope you have some dry days and it stays clean on the other concrete pile. With you folding the stacker up and standing next to the pile, it shows how big it really is!

  • Why not get a wireless camera, backup camera, or video baby monitor to watch the crusher from the Volvo cab?

    • The vibration of the machines would probably kill/destroy any camera attached to it. Stopping every 10 minutes and flying a drone over the devices might save Chris getting out of the excavator but you'd have to accept all the problems of drone batteries/rain etc.

    • @@dansbrown1313 I was thinking like a Gopro camera on the end of the stick of the excavator or on a tall tripod next to the machine or maybe on the crusher platform.... the platform seems to accumulate lose dirt.... so it must not move that much. If his cameras stay attached to the dozer working, it should work. For sure couldn't put it on the hopper, crushing plates, or belt areas

  • Had an idea for ya when moving, the stacker when it’s all folded up, if you could stand up on the top or sit with your long, remote cable and drive it down the trail without getting your feet muddy. I know it may sound unsafe, but it sounds like it be fun until something goes wrong. Which it did. But the oil would on missed you. Happy Easter

  • Well, when you’re working with concrete and hard materials like that, some thing is bound to mess up somewhere. But I went to my Carolina cat shop in 2014. They had a cat 906 in there that was all kinds of messed up and it was dealing with moving milled asphalt from the road.

  • Oh Chris almost thought youd run away from all the crushing without getting totally messy, but it is part of the job ! :) Ive been running large scale screening for over two years, will never forget the time a hose blew on our old screener, it took me about 30 seconds to get there to shut it down (was feeding it with material handler, lifted cab) ... many, many liters of oil lost that day 🙂

  • You have never let a little bit of mud slow you down. Good thing you didn`t scrap out the old crane cable. You could swing it toward the cab if you had ballistic glass on the 330. Yes, slow & steady. And there is Tonnage of scrap metal on site. The rental company should reimburse for the repair of the crappy hose end and washing your 'uniform'.
