Whiskey and Freedom were not always great when it came time to get nails trimmed. After lots of work and figuring out what works best for each individual dog we now have a very happy and calm nail trimming experience.

What a great idea for a special treat. I use peanut butter on a lickem mat and just treats when my daughter is around to help me because we can better control the situation. My Bluetick has seriously long nails and long quiks so she needs her nails done often.

I enjoy your channel and these are the best dogs! Y'all have definitely spent a lot of time with them and it is well worth it. It surprises me how many pet owners want their dogs to obey as well as children but not put in the same amount of time and effort to get them there. Owners and animals are happier when there are rules and they are followed IMO

I had similar nail trimmer. When I trimmad the nails on my dog, she almost fell asleep. She was so good when it was time for her nails to be trimmed.

What good dogs!!! So adorable!! My GSD growls at me with teeth if you touch his paws. He has had a lot of paw and nail related issues and injuries. Like running and accidentally stepping on something, breaking a nail. His nails are very brittle and break easy I have been giving him some supplements for that and I don’t think he has broken any since. I do check them every couple of days.
