This clip comes from the show Man bijt hond (Man Bites Dog), a light-hearted show mainly centered on trivial, everyday news stories and common, unknown people. It originated in Belgium, but a version in the Netherlands soon followed. The show's title comes from the journalistic quip that the headline "Dog bites man" would not be newsworthy, but "Man bites dog" would be. This is not my description; this description comes from a Dutch encyclopedia article for the show, which I am translating from. (source: Dutch version of Wikipedia)

From what we saw in the video, his garage door is left open and he doesn't apply the hand brake (cause he has to push the car forwards after the exists it). I can't watch this too strong
Salesman: It has power steering, electric windows, DAB radio... This gentleman: Yes but how wide is it?
78 Inches. Do you really need a BMW X7?
I could not understand a word this man said except for "centimeters". Being able to drive a car and park like this after suffering a stroke is remarkable.
And then they for some reason converted it into inches in the captions to make it harder to understand
I remember seeing this here in Belgium in class in high school, always loved it.
Salesman: What features are you looking for on your new car? Leather seats? Electric drivetrain? Large touchscreen with android auto? We've got it all. Old Man: 1.49 meters
ik you didn’t say android auto
haha. Old man sad that the garage has 1 more inch to the left and to the right side. 1 inch is 2.5 centimeters, so a new car can be 1 or 2 centimeters more :D

@@fixthetempo7276 But the door won't fit. It would probably be too long too.
The sad thing about the subtitles is that you miss how polite he is. He says Sir all the time and acts like it's nothing special. A real man of Flanders👍🏻
Another thing to point out (not relevant but whatever) he is talking about the measurements in metric while the people that subbed it changed it to imperial

That's how I want to be at 87. Active, walking upright. able to move a pretty heavy chair and drive like a normal person.😀
It's genius in its simplicity.
This was an experience I wish I could forget so I can experience it again.

He didn't walk 10 miles to get to school like other kids. He slept in a shack 2 miles away and only returned home for the weekend.
That was me right now I saw this years ago and thought shit how did he do it again? I'l be back in another 10 years
Don't worry, just as you have forgotten it, youtube will recommend it again in a few years.
Just driving in was impressive enough but then he showed us his true mastermind with the door trick
lol
Anyone can park in a garage… it’s the getting out - and keeping paint where it belongs on the car
I was wondering all along how on Earth is he going to get out of the car after sticking it in what looked like his hallway/kitchen. I didn't see the double door trick coming! To be honest though, his door seemed a bit enlarged in the lower part. Anyway, my question is: what about the bike? :) Was it left outside while the car was in, or did he have to get out (perhaps through the dog flap) to put the bike behind the car?
@@michaelmangano1732 with 1 inch spare on each side.. .youre talking bollox

The dutch accent makes this hilarious for me for some reason.😂
Looking for beginner minimalist guides and YT showed me this 💀

I was thinking this guy uses a lot of lube parking it in that tight fit xD
I thought he was going to climb out through the rear hatch.
Ultra legend😂🤣
I was trying to imagine this old man climbing out the back of his car🤣
Me too.
Imagine trying to steal his car while he's asleep in one of the chairs
From what we saw in the video, his garage door is left open and he doesn't apply the hand brake (cause he has to push the car forwards after the exists it). Stealing the car is as easy as attaching a pickup to the back of it and pulling it until it's out of the garage. He could sleep on both chairs as much as he wants yet his car still isn't safe.
@@webrevolution.Oh yes im sure someone is gonna put that much effort into stealing a 30 year old car that costs like 800$.
