Enjoy living the dream Richard and Christina. It's always great to watch you guys. Thanks for the video.❤
Thanks for taking us down the memory lane of your life. Richard and Christina, you are a breath of fresh air for me. Looking forward to seeing what's next! Many blessings to you all!
Thank you, Ronald. We are happy that you enjoyed the video. More to come!
Great video, it is always nice to see you guys. You guys are so lucky
Thanks Tom. We appreciate your continued support🙏
You two are a perfect picture of what I think are true Americana. God bless and enjoy life!
Thank you very much for the nice comment Ken. We really appreciate it.
I think it was a blessing in disguise you didn't work on cars for a living, as it seemed to kill the passion for everyone I know who did that. As you say, now you can live that dream. Enjoy!
So true. Ultimately my Dad was right.
I'm a mechanic and yeah doing it everyday has taken some of the fun out of it.
I have been a mechanic my entire life .I purchased my own garage business so i could work on my project cars in a fully equipped shop .I love building /Restoring cars just as much as i did when i was a kid !
It surely killed it for me, and that was just over 25 years of working on cars for a living. now I handle waste and earn more money than before... notr much, but still. also, bosses taking it out on me because they feel the pressure of havign to deal with modern electronmics and the problems it causes, surely did it's part. now all I wanna work on are my own cars; I'm even sending friends away. not that I have the means to do much at home.
What a awesome job your brother did on that sign. Where in Florida does he live. I have a some signs to restore. I live in Vero Beach fl.
I'm glad you are pursuing your interests and having fun!
Nice story. Good luck to both of you.
That's so nice! Congrats and thank's for share it whith us. ❤❤
Congrats on your retirement and new home. It is great that you share interest in cars and support each other. That is key for a happy next chapter. Cheers!
Retirement is wonderful. Life gets busier with things you enjoy. The emblem you found it off of a Chevy radiator cap.
That is so awesome, both of you.
❤
Congratulations on retirement. I retired a couple of years ago and am still feeling my way on what to do besides working on my house. I have become the family handyman helping my kids and grandkids
Thank you very much. I have heard the same from other people that are retired. I think the key is to pursue a passion, then you will be plenty busy and liking it.
@@whattherust i am enjoying working for family and helping them and enjoying time with my grand kids i have 15 of them a great Grand son and another great Grand due in October. I would love to work on cars again just have to get things together so I can.
@@whattherust -- What's that old saying? Do what you love... and you'll never work a day in your life! - Max Giganteum
One man's rust is another man's Gold.
Hi the 4 hubcap you got in the shed was on Ford the set of 3 was on 80's Ford the older one early 70's ford
Great video - best part .... pretty much all of it. Thanks for all the hard work editing and putting it together and sharing it with us.
Thanks very much Lance. All the credit goes to Christina on this one. The idea, most of the filming, and all the editing.
I really enjoyed this video! It is so cool to see Christina so happy and excited to enjoy everything with you Richard… I am so happy to see more of y’all’s new place! The wood inside the house is gorgeous! The shop is nice and spacious! Takes time to organize and setup……and you’re doing it! Richard, I have said it before, but are truly a blessed man! Oh yes, I love Christina’s collection of hub caps. God bless both of you as you follow passion! And continue to be safe!
Great video! BTW, those hub caps are 3/4 Ford hub caps.
So great to see you guys spin off and do your own thing and stuff you enjoy
I loved that video, especially the end where you explained how your dad guided your career path. I can totally relate to that story.
It is cool to hear someone else can relate to that. My Dad was right, but I couldn't see it at the time. Thanks for responding.
Great video, really admire your retirement choice and the path you've chosen. Keep up the informative videos.
❤❤❤
I loved this video, so glad to have found your channel, wholesome, full of fun and cars, happy days. Lots of love from the UK.

I rarely comment, not sure I have but I am for this. I really enjoyed getting to know you a bit. You two seem like such a wonderful couple. You have a nice place there out of town. I envy that 😊 You retired young, good on you. Keep up the great videos, I’m always watching.
So glad you did comment. We sincerely appreciate you watching🙏 Take care and have a wonderful week.
Thanks for posting. I believe the hood ornament is for a 1933 Chevrolet. 13:36
I now almost watched all of your 'will it run' series, and it is literally amazing. Please keep this great improvements going and thank you both for another awesome video. Much love!😄🧡
Thank you for the nice comment. We appreciate you watching ❤

Thank you for the glimpse into your lives. I look forward to your show each week. You haven't retired, now the work has begun. However, it's what you want to do and how you want to do it. Enjoy. And from a Tasmanian born who lives in Adelaide, South Australia, thank you again, and come down and visit We can have a beer or 3....... You can help me with my 1955 NSU Max motorcycle. Regards Rusty
❤❤❤ thanks Rusty.
That first hubcap looked like my 1989 F-250 pickup hubcap
I highly recommend joining your local Volunteer Fire Department. I’ve been serving since 9/11, and it’s very rewarding being able to help the community. Richard you and I are close to the same age as I just retired also, so if you have any questions about being a volunteer fire fighter just let me know! I’m working on a 56 Chevy Del Ray right now that hasn’t been run since 1972. Just got the motor free.
Sounds good James. I'll be joining up soon.
@@whattherust Richard, I just spoke with a friend of mine that lives near you and he has a 53 M38A1 and a camper with a ford 460 that he could use some help with if you’re interested. He lives about 5 miles north of Lewisburg off of 431. The M38A1 he managed to get running for a few minutes a few months ago. When he tried the next day it backfired and pressurized the crankcase enough to blow the lifter galley cover gasket. The 460 in the camper hasn’t run probably 10 to 15 years. Let me know if you’re interested in them.
Loved the video docco it gives us an insight into your background and life, well done keep up the good content.
Love THis thanks Mates
Always appreciate your comments. Thanks so much 🙏
I have enjoyed this video and I hope you have a long retirement living your dream working on cars and trucks
❤ thanks David.
Great that you guys got to retire together. What a great life
Usually people sell the cars to support themselves and their business. That’s awesome that you can just keep them if you want! Happy for you and your wife both that you can do this as a hobby and enjoy it! Sure it was a long hard road to get there.❤
It was a very hard road! Appreciate you watching. 🙏 and they are smaller in diameter 😂
Funny you saw a Nash Metropolitan. I have one that I’ve owned for 34 years. About 115 years ago it started giving issues running. It has been parked in my basement ever since. I’d love to see it on the road again.
Been with you since "Prague Life" !! Sure do admire and appreciate you! You folks are so nice to hang out with! Thanks for everything! Outstanding video, btw!❤
Thanks Andrew. Your long-time support is very much appreciated. Glad you liked the video.
Great video Richard and Christina! Nice hearing some of your personal history with cars and brother Matt. Nice seeing the ‘54 Chevy again also. Your garage/shop is great too.
Thanks very much Frank.
Love this channel! Mark Cuban attacks Rust lol!
Hahaha! He's heard that 1000 times😂 Thanks for watching and take care 😊
Congratulations on your retirement 🎉
Thanks!
I do enjoy the show! Congratulations on retirement 🎉🍾
Those metros are little wonders my mom had two. She was able to cram so much into that car 😂. It was a ongoing joke. I've heard parts are not easy to find.
You have a lot of knowledge on stuff Richard I would love to hear you talk more about things I can see your trying to explain stuff I learned how to change the Jets in a quadrajet because of you
Great work I enjoy your videos wish you both all the best !!
The hood ornament almost looks like 1952 Ford. Packard and also Hudson also had a variety of different birds in the mid 30's to mid 50's. I definitely enjoy watching all your content.
We appreciate your support!
That little car would be nice to ride back and forth from your shop to the house Richard! 👌🏻👍🏻🙂🙂
Fox’s and bobcats too in the woods! Christina, you have some beautiful flower beds there at the new house!
Yes, and occasionally a pack of Coyote's!
Love your channel and congratulations on being retired and on the new beautiful property you have. Last year i got my hands on a 2002 two door Toyota Echo, unreal gas mileage and runs like a top, pretty handy these days with the price of fuel, your new car reminds me of it, mines dark blue as well. I traded my 2002 Mazda B4000 truck for it that was DOA anyways, best deal i ever made lol, you are wonderful folks and i always look forward to your videos, Doug here in BC, Canada.
Appreciate you Doug❤ have a wonderful week.
Great video, I enjoy watching your videos and good luck to you both in your new home and retirement. Keep the rust going 👍
You should build you a out of car flushing system you mount the carburetor on it and you run fluid through the carburetor cleaning it over and over and over again that way you can still adjust the carburetor and at the same time cleaning it out of any kind of deposits I made me one years ago and it still works to this day I think it's been aroun😢d 20 years
I'd like to her more about that cleaner. Does it work like a second fuel line?
That hubcap is not big chevy. It is Ford 3/4 ton and 1 ton from the 60's to early 70's. I'm not positive but I think that hood ornament is from a Packard
Thanks for the correction. Very helpful.
Great video. I’d love to see Christina “shopping” on the Dodge property!
I remember when you got the Mustang running, guys! It sounds great Richard!
Working on cars or trucks five to six days a week for years, does take the zip out of fixing your own vehicle. Hope y’all are having fun being retired. Tinkering with the old stuff.
Well that was a great story I must say, very interesting,re your car history, while I never raced cars ,I had a good variety of English Zodiacs 62,68 and 70 models, lot of Australian V8's ,all in New Zealand, now living in Australia,I carried on collected cars ,but have now slowed down to only having 6 in total now, your best trick and we all agree for sure is you have a bird who loves cars as well ! Stay safe, watching from Halekulani Central Coast of NSW....
❤❤❤
Was that a "For Sale" sign in the window of that '53-'54 Chevy? I still am amazed that the guy wouldn't come off of that price on the Rambler. If not rescued soon the water getting into it will destroy the interior, rendering the car all but worthless. Homey looks a lot like my very first rescue, a grey Tabby I named Rascal. I lost him last year to kidney failure. If there ever could be such a thing as a perfect cat, Rascal was it. He was feral when I rescued him but once tamed, he never damaged anything in the house, always used the litter box, and was just a sweet, loving cat. That "Kaiser" is actually an old Cadillac.
Yes, that Chevy is for sale, but I never went over to check it out (was distracted by the auction). Thanks for the continued support, Richard.
That was a very interesting video and awesome more car videos i can't wait
Love watching you guys! What a great chemistry! Richard, I don't think that's a swan, no Idea what's from lol... keep up the great work, fantastic from sunny Spain 😊
Thanks very much Brian!
This was a great video. Really enjoyed the narrative. Congratulations on retirement and best wishes to both of you.
Thank you for the feedback and support, Frank.
Beautiful property
Thanks Christina and Richard for the tour around your home and land its really nice plus that nice shop l hope things go just like you guys want it to go this was a awesome video keep them coming
great, just great. Really enjoyed it. & Grats!
Congrats on both of you retiring! I liked Richards stories from his youth about the cars he had. I also am retired and love to work and drive our '54 Bel-Air. I too have stories about the cars I had and sold as a youngster. I regret some of the cars that I let getaway! Oh well!!!
Right on!
As usual another great video and a glimpse into your personal lives, and Congratulations on being able to retire. That's what I call living the American dream. My wife and I also have a couple graves on our property. We were told by our lawyer friend to never disclose any names that you might find on any grave markers, if you do and someone comes along and says they are related to the deceased then by law you would have to grant them the right to come on your property to visit the grave. Also never disturb the graves no matter how old the graves are, they are protected by the state. Please keep up the great work and watch out for snakes and anything that stings.
Right on. That is good advice.
Thanks for another guys !
Good afternoon 😊 Keep up with you good 👍 work! Colorado
enjoyed watching your video. hope you enjoy new retirement. interesting story of your life about racing cars. I am not into that but i did work on my family's cars when i was a teenager and in my 20's which would be in the 70's and 80's. I am 65 now. i did oil changes, tuneups, minor repair work on my family's vehicles to keep them running. I have MS and so when i was diagnosed with MS, that pretty much ended my working on cars. we just took our cars to mechanics we knew and let them do the work. I was busy working at that time too and i pretty much worked all the time. I was an I.T. tech, network tech, printer tech, worked on servers too. built many computers including ours at home. anyway, thanks for sharing your life stories. Hope you enjoy your new home and passion for cars. god bless. I retired in 2009 after i was let go from Cigna health insurance where i worked for about 12 years. i worked for 7 other companies before that., i mostly just enjoy my time with my wife, yardwork, eat out and this and that. :)
On retirement and time to devote yourself to the beautiful things, congratulations.
Retirement and old cars looks good on you two. Keep up the amazing content and God bless TN lol😊
Wow y'all seem so much happier than before...thats what its all about... enjoy your videos and your adventures
I'd say you two are quite fortunate to have one another. You make a great couple.
RICHARD AND CHRISTINA, THANK YOU GUYS FOR SHARING A WEEK OF OUR NEW LIFE. GOD GIVES US THE GIFT OF LIFE. ENJOY YOUR DREAM. YOUR A SPECIAL COUPLE. I ENJOYED YOUR VIDEO. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH. SINCERELY DOM'N NICKS AC ,VENICE FL
Thank you for the nice comment. We plan on making the most out of the one life to live that we have.
Yes!! Loved it guys!👍
-- I had to laugh... and go through some memories starting around 16:15 in... you wouldn't believe what you can find in the DIRT! That property would probably supply a number of items to someone with some time, patience and a decent metal detector. I'd start by going over every square inch of the floors in any garage or shed then proceed outside to the front of them and cover a swath 10 feet wider than the structure on each side up to about 25 feet away from the door. It isn't unusual to find tools, knives, watches, coins and jewelry that was dropped and never picked up - if you score big you can find jewelry made with jewels or of silver or solid gold (think of what scrap gold per ounce is worth these days). You may also stumble across some small, yet valuable items inside one of the buildings. It may look like junk but antiques may surprise you when you discover what they really are. Happy hunting! - Max Giganteum PS You guys need to set up and experiment with a small electrolysis tank in the garage. I've removed rust from so many items I couldn't remember them all let alone count that high. A small tank is perfect for small parts including fasteners such as bolts, nuts, screws and washers. Couple an electrolysis tank with a small plating tank and you can easily restore and make use of rusted hardware. The cost? Practically nothing but time if you're crafty and/or a scrounger, it all depends on how you set them up. Example? I've used a repurposed laundry detergent bottle or a milk jug for a tank!
I love this content. Thank you and thanks for sharing. Good luck.
Thanks for the little peek into your world. God bless you as you "Live the dream".✌👀
Seeing the metro was definitely a blast from my past. I grew up in a small rural town and a lot farmers kids had them cause they were pretty reliable, good on gas and being a manual were pretty bullet proof(clutch was a tad on the light side as one can imagine). But it was not uncommon to see one go thru a family from kid to kid and have about 300k miles on it and only thing have done to it was new clutch. Thank you for taking us along with you guys for a week and congrats on the retirement! Love all the videos and the information I’ve gleaned from your videos, keep em coming.
Happy to see that you both work together! I am hoping to get there soon
Right on!
AWESOME!! Congrats!!
nice way to retire
“Richard, are you ever gonna change that shirt?” 😂😂that was hilarious!! This was such an awesome documentary!! I admire Richard’s modesty. You’re both amazing people!!
Thanks very much! We appreciate your support.
I think those hub caps you showed with the cab light lenses were actually all Ford Hub caps. The one different one looks like from a Ford car, late 60's to early 70's. The others look to be Ford truck from the late 60's or early 70's.
Nice job Nice show cool car 😃👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
Thanks Francois!
great video.............thanks. love the content.
A different video but very interesting video ...my thoughts on the Geo Metro is it would be a great first car for your little buddy Lugnut or some other young kid ...with the price of gas a kid could have fun for less fuel money than most other cars...doing what you love to do is a good retirement plan...you can choose whether to work on cars or go searching for cars or just tour around...that's the best thing about being retired you decide how your day unfolds...thanks for letting us come along on your adventures....Karl from eastern Canada
Congratulations on your retirement. You both have the perfect personalities for the work you’ve chosen. You make me feel like I could rescue one of these old cars. Keep them coming folks I won’t miss any of them that you do. And you really got me thinking about it rescuing an old clunker.
Awesome! Do it if you can.
A great video! Love getting to know more about you two.
Glad you liked it. All the credit goes to Christina for this one.
Congratulations On Yall Retirement, Working On All Those Old Cars And Trucks Will Both Of Ya'll Very Busy. Enjoy Ya'll Retirement, God Bless. PS. Looking Forward For More Videos On This Channel 😊❤
Congratulations
My buddy had a metro like that, 3 cyl, 5 speed. He bought it new in 86, i think. Got rear ended at 45 mph less than a year later. Car did not fare well! Thankfully, he and his sister were okay. Years later, i had a Chevy Sprint, 3 cyl 5 speed that i bought for $300. I loved that little beast! I was commuting an hour plus each way for work 5 days a week and that thing sipped gas. When you first walked up to the auction, i saw the metro and thpught, man, id like to have that! Then, you shocked me and bought it! Have fun with it!
Christina Needs a Gimble for her phone to keep it steady.
I had a Chevy GEO actually made by Suzzuci . Great car.
Thanks for sharing yall, Kirk in Louisiana sending prayers and positive vibes to yall and your families! Yall stay safe and healthy! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👏🏻GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼🙋🏼✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
Great video, keep em coming!
The hubcaps Richard had are all Ford trucks. The single is a F-250 from late 60's to 1979 and the three are 1980's.
That's right. Not sure what I was thinking.
You kids enjoy your retirement! Thanks for the videos
Awesome thank u for sharing love birds
Nice video, guys. Love what you do, old cars need saving.....
A three cylinder can only mean a Chevy Sprint or maybe a Suzuki Swift
Good video enjoyed it till next time I'll be watching for you thank you
You're welcome. Thank you for watching.
I was wondering if you moved. But now you made it clear that you have. Nice property! Hope you have good luck with your move and hobby.
Great video, thanks for the insight into your daily lives. Love your new property. I wish places like this were available in the UK. (well they are but are HUGE money!) Take care.
Thank you for the support. In Tennessee, these types of places are abundant. We are fortunate to now have one.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video.I am a lover of bringing the older and classics back.Congrats on your retirement.I retired in 2015 and regret doing it that that early!Just keep yourselves busy and you'll be fine.
Thanks Neil. We agree, the key is keeping busy, and we have so much going on there are not worries about that.
