some suggestions on things you could cover Insanity of Emperor Caligula Crusader Siege of Jerusalem 1099 AD Saladin Arminius Aurelian Sertorius Sigurd, the "Viking Crusader" Yi Sun-Sin Death of Crassus
PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON THE BATTLE OF SHIROYAMA.
Could you maybe do a video on the Berber people?? They have such a rich history that is never properly discussed!!
They should hire you and your brother for some of kind of historical movie. Your unique style of artwork and storytelling is both refreshing and cinematic.
I’d for sure watch a *3 hour movie made by y’all in this style of medium.
No way not a chance. The only thing going is the pictures He is absolutely terrible at pacing and creating a mental picture, holy crap. He just jumps from detail to detail and in the most bland way
@@Pink_Floyd-ll8lq shoot dude you are the odd man out I guess! I love their other work!
@@Pink_Floyd-ll8lqIt's condensed. You don't wanna be here all day learning every intricate detail for every trivial object.
@@Pink_Floyd-ll8lq that’s gross. I mean sure, it’s your opinion, but that’s a bad opinion.
"They rob the poor under the cover of law, and we plunder the rich under the cover of our own courage". That is a charismatic quote right there, and I daresay the first part is still relevant.
Truly, a very relevant quote today more than ever
I love that quote
Pirates we’re socialist, who would’ve thought
The law is definitely there to keep the ruling class flush with money. Look at how under the law, money buys your way out of trouble. How is that *ANY DIFFERENT* than the way the "mob" operates?
@@nuudelz3711populist you mean
The painting of the ship underwater with the sharks swimming around gave me chills for some reason. Amazing work as always gentlemen!
thanks! I think there's two of those shark-circled shipwreck paintings :)
Damn fav bannerlord and fav history channel in one place
Unfuckingbelievable the amount of polish this channel has. It would be unbelievable for a whole production staff, let alone two people. The original art, the writing, the narration, the information. Jaw-dropping.
The original artwork is really amazing
Sam Bellamy's description of how the Rich rob regular people with laws and the Pirates rob the rich with their own courage is an apt description of Humanity. That's probably why that one quote has echoed down through time and space to enlighten us even today. Great work guys keep it up 💪👍
Agreed, and it makes one want to take up the black flag themselves
Easily my favorite history channel on KZhead and it’s not even close. The art, the production, your calm and informative demeanor, it all comes together to truly be something special and worthy of all the praise it gets. You love your work, and it shows. Thank you for turning your passion into creation.
agreed. explicitly how he narrates sold me. His Henry Every video is absolutely unbelievable.
You are all doing a genuine service to those of us with internet access by preserving the past in such an unbiased and entertaining manner. Thank you from the great white north 🏴☠️ 🇨🇦
Thanks for all the care and effort in your storytelling guys. I really pays off and there’s a fantastic community of people here that love your work
You guys are masters of storytelling.
I love this channel so much, the illustrations are amazing and the storytelling is all so cinematic and immersive
Thanks! A lot of research and hard work into script and all the paintings for this one, but it was a lot of fun!
@@HistoryDoseYour hard work does not go unnoticed! I’m glad you got a sponsor too, y’all deserve everything for providing this content for us to see for free :D
@@HistoryDose i would love to intern under you guys or assist in reading accuracies and group projects. Just seems like something a helping hand could always be of use for. (I love your videos)
Going through a rough breakup right now, and for some reason your videos are the only thing that can take my mind off it. I’ve binged like 20 episodes. So I just wanted to say thank you ❤️
Wishing you all the best. If you work through the catalog, we’ve also got a few Q&A episodes found in the live tab. And if you look up Voices of the Past’s history of western piracy video (over 90 min I think) that script was written by yours truly
Gee get over it, imagine getting upset over a subhuman errrrrr I meant over a woman
@@Red_40 it was autocorrect mistake. I meant woman are beautiful and precious. My mistake
As a fledgling story writer, I love how you guys write. I aspire to have the same texture and vibrancy in my own description of people and places as you do one day.
Thanks! I appreciate it! Always good to read a lot of writers you like and think about the specific aspects that stand out to you. I also like to pepper in words and phrases that help establish the ambience of any given time period. The language used in this one is quite different than, say, that of our Mafia episodes.
This is by far one of the best history channels on KZhead
Every episode of this channel is nothing short of impressive on every delivery. Thank you for releasing such top tier content for free.
Not only is your artwork amazing but your able to produce it at such a high rate its truly astounding. Really hope this channel starts getting the attention it deservers.
Most underrated history channel of all time. You guys should have at least 5 million subscribers. Great job as always👏
Hands down the best channel on KZhead. We need to appreciate what brilliance this channel is people!! You and your brother are true artist and wonderful historians. Bravo and thank you! 👏🏻👍🏻🙏🏼
13:40 That painting… The gunports on the wrecked ship almost look like the ever gazing eyes from the carcass of a beast. Haunting, yet beautiful.
Thanks for another awesome video guys! Bellamy has such a cool and lesser-known story. I hope you cover more Caribbean pirates, like Blackbeard, Stede Bonnet etc. Black Bart Roberts has a great story too
Oh yeah, I slightly teased a sequel in this one. The stories of La Buse, Jennings, Hornigold, Blackbeard, etc. are not over :)
@@HistoryDose haha yeah i noticed that hence my hopes 😜
Beautifully written and produced- thank you
Finally! A new one! I have an idea. Can you do one on the Incan General Rumiñahui?
No other informative YT channel has me as eager to wait for new uploads as this one. I think other comments have probably already said it all (and better than I can), but the combination of the tone, the art style, and how the information is presented is perfect. If nothing else, I hope this channel continues producing content at the same level of quality for years to come- or that other opportunities swing around for bigger projects. I'd join the Patreon if I had the ability, but in the mean time- thank you.
This channel highlights everything I love about history
The artwork, the storytelling and narration, amazing.
I have been wanting you to do another Pirate video for so long, your art style and presentation brings such a uniqueness to the period it’s captivating
You two have such a consistent high level. I am awestruck by your videos. Just wow. I hope your portfolio lets you take your craft to whatever hights you want to take it to. Love from Sweden
Thanks! I’ve got family from Sweden-joe and I visited a few years back! We went in January and it was amazing and freezing
Amazing work as always. Love seeing the channel grow as well.
The music, the graphics, the narration. Everything is on point. One of the best channels. Please make more videos on Indian History.
By Far the best history channel on KZhead.... Your style of story telling, artwork, music and narration... Best I have ever watched...
Piracy was truly a diverse and inclusive job 😮
Stunning work and story-telling as always. It's an absolute pleasure to loose oneself in your videos.
What's crazy to me is how much these men have done before even turning 30.
Love your channel and the work you all do. Keep it up
When the real Whydah bell was shown and that beautiful last bit of pirate music did sound I felt shivers down my spine and a big grin was drawn on my face understanding that the souls of those who chase adventure and discovery like Bellamy never died, but reside within each of us too. ❤☠
Thanks! That bell is actually on display at the Whydah Pirate Museum in Cape Cod. Hoping to go there this summer!
I can’t stop watching your videos man, I always been a fan of history. Favorite channel!
I just wanted to say how much me and so many others on here love your videos. I personally appreciate how you and your team are able to, even if for a moment, take me out of my reality, and put me on an incredible journey of emersion and lore. Thank you so much.
Thanks! The team is just me and my brother, who does the art and editing!
The music, art work, and sound effects are the best I have seen on this video. I really enjoyed the story and look forward to more of History Dose's videos.
Absolutely love your content. Always look forward to your uploads ❤
5:30 is such a beautiful segment, with the vibrant colors and music! Always love each piece of work you guys put out, never stop
You are an excellent storyteller! I've watched a few videos about this pirate now but this was my favourite because you had me so riveted the whole time. This felt like listening to a real legend or myth being told.
Absolutely fantastic video!
Brilliant work!
You and your brother have to do a video on Baibars! The Mamluk Sultan of Egypt - the man who defeated the Ilkhanate during the prime years of the Mongol Empire.
I really like the stock footage added to the video, it's a great wake-up call that these aren't just fantasy stories but real history
These really are like miniature movies.
Beautiful video. We’ll done as always!
Epic video as always, keep up the great work!

Awesome .......great narration ......artwork .......storytelling .........!!!!.
This is peak quality content right here man. Amazing work you are doing, keep it up.
Appreciate it! This video is a little slow out of the gate in terms of views, but I’m hoping it picks up-the comments help! :)
My favorite video from you guys yet! Awesome work!!
Hey, 47th time’s the charm! Thanks!
Thank you for these videos truly amazing.

Story wise, number 1.
Pirate stories are the best.

I've been getting deeply immersed in Assassin's Creed IV again for the first time in almost a decade. This is perfect. 😍
Go play sea of thieves. Just don’t get toxic or you’ll get banned like me 😭
Its always a good day when History Dose uploads...
Your channel as well as the Armchair Historian are killing it, keep up the great work.

Epic dialogue, storytelling and background music. Nice one bro
I haven’t even watched it and I’m already liking and commenting because I want to comment twice on how good this video is about to be
So freaking awesome
You have a brilliant channel guy. Genuinely engrossing stuff with beautiful art work however you have created it
Very good story, interesting. And very well told.
Excellent
Amazing as always I love the pirate episodes!
I absolutely love your videos!
As always beautiful/great work. Gents take care and sending the vibes from San Diego, Ca brother
Please do more pirates
i love this topic great video
What a great video
What Bellamy said to Beer about the villany of the rich making laws to suit themselves has a striking resemblence to pretty much everything happening still.
Absolutely fantastic video. Always been fascinated by pirates
You and me both! Thanks!
My only complaint is that these need to be longer videos they are too great
I really enjoyed this!
i truly dont get it your channel should have millions of subs !! you have other history channels other story telling channels but your video's are unique just such enjoyable story telling with supporting art that is just so insanely beautiful !!!
as a fan of one piece it's so great hearing the real stories of these great pirates and seeing how Oda, the writer of one piece, took some inspirations from their stories and incorporated them into his story
another great video you guys are awesome
