    • I think I'll sell Level 5 plates guaranteed to stop 120mm APFDS. Applications for refund must be made in person. Also thinking there should be a safety notice on Matt's plate or vest stating that appropriate footwear must be worn. Congrats, it stopped a .50BMG, but your flip-flops didn't stop the falling plate.     • @@TheSublimeLifestyle I am speaking about testing environment. Straight shot has bigger impact on the testing material then shot in an angle. As it slides on the surface. In real firefight it makes no sense of course especially someone can shoot you in the head or limbs and vest does not matter then. Video is about testing not real fight.

    • But NIJ level 4 can’t even stop a .338 LM at that range. How the hell did that plate stopped a .50 BMG with that little dent? I’m thinking that the plate is not for body armor but for something else and It’s much heavier than a normal 4 kg IV plate.

    • @@chrisblack6258 level 4 can stop that round, its just not designed to, and shouldn't be trusted to. It can stop one usually, but it'll probably cause internal injuries that cause death anyway too.

However, It will be overly dented by the round, and the depth of the dent exceeds the limit of the NIJ requirement, thus still do significant damage to a person. So what I meant was that the NIJ 4 plates can not stop the round from doing notable harm to a person.
