  • Thanks Dekay, I built the table in sketchup with about 350 mm off the length so I have easy access to my tow trailer. I also routed out a hole and added a router plate for my Dewalt palm router. Absolutely over the moon with the workbench. So sturdy and the channel on the top board was inspired, so easy to cut boards using my track saw. Thanks again, Kevin from UK

  • I have watched several vids on the subject and this one seems like the best so far. Simple, strong, and useful. I like the thought of using plywood for the table top instead of spending a ton of hours building up a HD butcher block top. Mainly because I wont worry about blemishes at all with a top like this. Every now and again you can just make a new top when it wears out. Maybe just throw on a little linseed oil for a little added protection and... good.

    • haha I thought the same thing, but watch any traditional Japanese craftsman and they're wearing flip flops or no shoes while sitting and holding wood with their feet while working the wood.

    • I think this man, team leader KIM doesn't understand English, maybe... I translate for you. 김팀장님, 이 분이 그러는데요, 너무 놀랍다네요. 이 작업대의 도면과 규격에 대한 정보를 공유해 줄 수 있느냐고 하네요. 얼릉 대답해줘요. 플리즈~~~

  • Man, you scared me at 3:50. Thought you were gonna hit one of the countersunk screw heads.

    @markybecker@markybecker4 жыл бұрын
    • The screw heads are deeply embedded and the saw blade is perfectly adjusted so it's okay =)

  • wheres your table saw fence??? I guess yours doesnt attach to the back of the saw like mine does....

    • @@dekayscrafts I was referring to the lack of a gap in the back. I'm trying to design a similar set up but my saw requires space in back of the saw for the fence and rails...

      @GaryBowen73@GaryBowen734 жыл бұрын
    • @@GaryBowen73 I think there's another fence rail behind. If so, make a space for the fence to pass. See the video 'Homemade table with built saw' by Mr. Vereshchak.

    • that was my thought too. i would like to see a design for a full length rip fence to make it easier to rip sheet goods. I still miss my radial arm saw for that reason. I could have a really long stationary fence and just move the saw head to the desired cut. Made it so easy to rip a 4 x 8 sheet with only one person. I had full length indeed and outfeed tables. Really not as easy with a table saw

    • @@michaelprozonic Good info. I first saw a radial arm saw Why not use it? Do not manufacturers make this? It looks great when cutting large sheets.
