Thanks for providing this video and plan. I also live in central Indiana, so it is fun to find another local person that enjoys projects like this!
Thanks for watching! Yep been here since 1990. Hope to move to FL in 5yrs to retire :)
Proud to subscribe to your channel. Thank you for your service!
Thanks for the support! Take care
Man that is clever and functional! Nice job.
Wait until Sundays video! Workbench 2.0 with functional drawers under the table saw for my power tools! Thanks for watching!
Thank you, for sharing the drawing and this looks real good. Just subbed
Thanks for watching!
You made it look so easy, thanks for explaining everything!
Glad it was helpful!
Nice looking working bench!!! It is exactly what I was looking,, cheap and easy to build thanks!!!
Thx 4 watching! Just added drawers underneath the table saw. That and dust collection videos all coking soon!
Great and very practical way of doing things. Thanks !
Thanks for watching!
With all the trim work we are planning for our house, this is a must! Thanks for the economical design!
Thx for watching! I love trim work really makes the house! Good luck and take care!
Amazing video, just built my first workbench. Can’t stop finding new projects. Thank you so much for the idea and easy to follow plans!
This is great happy to help! Take care
Looking forward to see how you will add the dust collector in the workbench. Good video!!
Thx for watching. Been looking at the cyclone attached to a shop vac. Think I can get it all to fit. It will be in a future video! Take care!
Going to start this project in the morning, been wanting to do this all summer
Good luck! I love mine no regrets at all'. The drawers are really nice too! Thx 4 watching
Like your enthusiasm! Nice project that seems to be a good foundation for getting organized. Your house looks lovely as it sits on a nice parcel of land. Also took notice to your front entryway as it offers a nice architectural element! I am a Millwork guy.....so I had to compliment you. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much! 😊Those timbers on the front porched are from the land itself. Repurposed because they had to be taken down to build the house! 100% Hickory 8x8 :) Take care!
You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice kzhead.infoUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.
Thanks for watching!
Currently cleaning and reorganizing my shop... This was motivating... Got yourself another subscriber!
This is great! Super functional Bench wish I would have thought of it 20yrs ago! Thanks for watching!
Great job - study and lots of room for add-ons! Well done!
Thx for watching and you are right!
Exactly what I have been looking for. Gonna try to figure out how to add a drop down shelf for small band saw and grinder too. Great work!
Glad I could help! I'm adding dust collection soon - video to follow!
Mate, I've been looking for an outfeed table/workbench, that's simple, aesthetic and awesome, and this is the one. Thank you :)
Glad you like it! It works great and you add the additional version it loads it up nicely! Take care
Awesome. I've been looking to build something like this.
It's great! The drawers I just added are really cool!
Just found your video. Totally adaptable concept for multiple situations.
Thx for watching!
Thanks for this. I feel you on finding tools in the garage. I know "if you can't find it, you don't own it" but I've still been putting off organizing. This summer for sure ;)
Well said! Lol This is the year! Thx for watching!
@@HomeProHeroI started building this today. Table saw on a folding table isn’t great
@@RickyC005 That's great! I'm going to add dust collection to my table I get a ton from that table saw and I want to store tools under the table. Should have a video out on it in the near future! Good look shoot me a pic when done!
Really great build thanks. Have been looking for a cheap and easy table like this for a long while
Thanks for watching. Been using it for a year works great!
Great looking work station. Thanks for the plans .
Thanks for watching!
I just want to say my friend thank you very much for sharing this with us and also not even charging for the PDFs as you very much can. You actually made me completely change the plans that I had because I liked your video a lot more and you made it very simple. Thank you.
So happy to hear this! I plan on doing a video on a dust collection for the table because I get a ton of dust from the table saw. Other than that it works really well!
@@HomeProHero if I only had one helpful piece of advice, it would be to include every step just like you did in the beginning. When you showed all of the pieces and how many I would need of that exact size. Because you kept adding throughout the video. And then, when you built the drop-down box you didn’t really show that and so I had to sort of improvise. I am a beginner and so there were a few mistakes. Lol but overall if I could send you a picture I would and I think I did a decent job for my first time. So just slow it down a little bit and please keep including the on screen pop-up measurements the way you did because I feel like that was more than helpful. You definitely got a subscriber.
@@AsPureAsitGets thanks for the feedback! There's a fine balance sometimes when it comes to creating these types of videos. I try to be more detailed in the plans to not over do the video. Almost like the video is high level and the plans should cover the gaps - at least I hope! I think tomorrows video covers the measurements well but it's mostly verbal - thx for watching and the sub!
awesome bench thanks so much for sharing I can't wait to build it!
It's really nice! Going to have a dust collection system video soon!
Just added this to my list of must make. Looks great
Thanks for watching! Yea it works really well! A must have for sure! Take care
This is exactly what I need to build. Will cut tool storage space by 50% in my side of the garage. Really glad I found this video!
That's great and thanks for watching! It's a great bench! Take care
Nice job on the bench and thank you for the plans
You bet! Take care
I was thinking of building one already and this gave me a few ideas to add. Nice video 👍
Thx for watching! I added some drawers and I have a dust collection video coming soon!
@@HomeProHero Yeah I was watching that one right now too. Probably gonna do some drawers as well, thanks!
Man I love the drawers! Cheers!
Thanks for sharing the build and the plans! It's just what I need in my garage.
You bet! I really love mine! I'm going to add a dust collection system soon! Should be a video too! Thx 4 watching
I must build that!! I have the same chop saw and table saw. Thanks excellent setup
Go for it! Add the drawers and dust collection too! One of the best things I have built! Take care
Wow! Great design! As far as a junked up workshop, I think I got you beat! LOL, good luck with it.
Thanks for watching!!!
Love it and super excited to build, thx for the plans🎉
Hope you enjoy it! Take care
This is a fantastic work table! I'm always having to do work at my elderly parents home and my daughter's home. I could roll this into my enclosed motorcycle trailer . It would be easier. I might put bigger wheels on it for uneven surfaces.
That's a great idea! I really do love mine! Especially the drawers and it's soon to have dust collection!
great video and very simple build ! straight to the point !
Thanks for watching! It pretty easy to build and works great!
Good video and build, saved me a lot of time, thanks
Glad it helped! Take care
Really like it! And your flip-down mitre saw stand has given me an idea... I'm currently taking apart and cleaning/re-calibrating my lovely Dewalt DW743 flip-over saw, and I reckon I could adapt to flip over on a workbench. That would be cool!
Thanks for watching! The mobile workbench is perfect. Wish I would have built it years ago! Take care
Wow. That is a great work bench. 👍
Glad you like it! Works great!
Awesome workbench 👍👍
Thanks 👍
Looked like towards the end of your video you have an orange toy as well LOL. I sure enjoy the orange toy I have, sure makes chores quicker, easier, and less painful on the back. Your workbench build is great. I like how you made the table section for your miter saw fold down out of the way so you have a completely flat table top when you want it. Out of all the workbench videos I've seen I think yours should be the number one choice...I need to build something similar here soon when I get the floor in my shop done, and start putting the tools out there again. I don't have the Dewalt saw so the specs for the table would be different, but I like your design ideas...its not overly complicated to build, but its built heavy to stand up to years of use and abuse. You could easily build this with some drawers or cabinets for storing other tools....excellent build...and you got a new subscriber.
It really is a good built! Its my #1 video and I know a ton of people have already built it and have enjoyed it too! Very customizable for sure and yet still compact and not in the way :) Thanks for the sub you will see the bench in almost every video I do! Take care!
Oh yeah the orange toy......Can't live without it! One of the best purchases I have ever made! When I built the house 5yrs ago it was going to cost me 15k to get the yard graded and seeded. I sold my zero turn mower and use the 15k to buy the tractor. My dad and I put the yard in ourselves and I'm a happy tractor owner. I mow my grass with it and it takes awhile but I love mowing so no biggie :)
Came out really good.
Thx for watching! Works great too
Dude!! That is a great build. Strong skill set right there!! Keep going brother. I really enjoyed the video. Subcribed👊🏻👍🏻
Thx for watching and take care!
Combining simple construction with mobility and an outfeed table, plus a fold-away miter saw station with adequate infeed and outfeed, all in a compact table saw bench is ingenious, or maybe genius. Well done!
Thanks and adding the storage drawers was a game changer for my tools! Take care!
.@@HomeProHero -- Yes to drawers, definitely. And here's another one: you could add a 2 or 2-1/2 foot hinged fold-down extension to the table top in way of your miter saw's outfeed side. You could do that by using hinged arms notched to fit against a chock on the underside of the extension deck to lock it level with your bench top -- or the arms could swing out from under the deck when you pull it up, then they could notch against a chock mounted on the end of the bench. Either way you'd have to add some structure to the framing at that end, but it wouldn't require much.
This is a great build idea
Thx 4 watching
Nice job brother!
Thanks 4 watching! Take care
Great stuff! I'm going to build one this spring.
Go for it! I love mine! Thx for watching
Happy New Year! Look forward to future videos. @@HomeProHero
Dude , Great Build. The Man Cave is Huge important. 💪🙏
Yes indeed!
Looks good brother. Awesome looking property 🤌
Thanks for watching!
I love this bench so much! Are you planning on doing a part 5 or a one year review (things you may change or wish you would have done different)?
Thx for watching! Thought about a part 5 to add tabletop extension but not sure yet on that. But I like ur ideal about things I would do different
Good video, nicely done. 👍
Thank you! 👍
Just did this build. Wasn't able to do the drop down for my mitre saw because it is too big but with the storage space underneath, I can just put it below anytime I need the full workspace. Thank you for sharing this!
Thats great to hear? You must have a good size saw! Bigger than a 12" or is it a slider?
Love it! True DIY, Nothing fancy, just use what you have laying around. Who cares the beams are chipped, Its a workbench not a lab table.
Well said! Thanks for watching!
Love it. Great project.
Thanks for watching! Take Care
Nicely done! May want to consider some gas struts to assist with the chop saw swing down
Good idea but I don't want to do all that! I grab the front miter adjustment knob and unlock the locks. Than is easy to lower it down. I honestly rarely do it anyways becuase I don't normal cut full sheets of plywood on the tablesaw - Keg jig works great! Thanks for watching!
Cool idea dropping down the miter saw
Thx for watching! The drop down saw works really well!
Easy , simple, cheap and functional….I love it . Great video and commentary thanks 🙏 ❤
You are so welcome! Thx for watching
Could you tell me why I never see you wearing a mask everyone says it's a must thanks😂
You should have way more subscribers than you do! You make DIY look fun. I made your chairs and couch for the patio and they came out amazing! Love your channel.
Thank you very much! My channel was kinda all over the place in the beginning but I finally decided I wanted to focus just on DIY projects. Mainly because it's my favorite thing to do. Now that I have a niche the channel is starting to takeoff. Only been doing it for 14 months :). Have some great stuff coming up. Stay tuned thanks.

Nice we be building this soon for my new saws
Thx 4 watching and good luck!
Looks dope
Thanks for watching!
Seeing that I have the exact same tools as you (DeWalt Table and Miter saw), this is exactly what I was looking for. I was trying to think of doing something like this, but couldn't wrap my brain on exactly how. I just stumbled on your video, not even a search. KZhead/Google brought me here and I'm like, THIS IS EXACLY IT. Thank you for inspiration and I will be building this same rolling bench.
This is great! It's a great work bench but dust collection is needed. I'm doing a video on that very soon! Thx for watching!
Nice bench bro. Keep up that positive calm talk. Your instructions is what I've been searching for. Nice neighborhood too. Did you just retire from the military?
Thx for watching! I served in the army reserves from 92-02 and did a active duty call up deployment in Bosnia for 2yrs. Been a police officer since 1997 :) Take care
Awesome and Thanks!!
Thx for watching!
Well done brother.
Thank you kindly!
Love it! Thanks for the video. I've been wanting to do this for a while now; I think I'm ready for it! Love the table saw enclosure, and the drop down miter saw. Lots of room to work on without having to move everything off the table. So, if you wanted to cover up the table saw with a piece of wood, would you be able to do that by dropping the blade, and removing the fence? Seems that would be possible to give even more tabletop space when not using the saw.
It works great! Wish I would have built it a long time ago :) Thanks for watching!
Great work bench. I made one like it only it's 4'-0" x 8'-0". My chop saw drops down the same. I have a board that goes in to make a smooth top. I also made an insert to drop in to have an area for my router setup. Works great.
Thx for watching! Did you add any drawers? It's my favorite upgrade!
Sweet video brotha, what type of track was on ur saw
That looks good thanks the video
Thanks for watching & take care!
Nice freaking build! 👌
Thanks for watching! Take care!
It worked for me. I have 2 storage rentals 10x30 that i use for a shop All my tools are setup on the walls sp i have a 7 feet x 20 to have a table in and the other unit has almost nothing in it I can use it for staining and painting dust free I set up lightinh and receptical outlets to plug into my 28000 generater. I live in an apartment about .5 mile from my storage. I think its the best setup i could have living as i do in apartment. I have a small shelter i can setup out side if i need that space.
Thx for watching! Never thought about using a storage unit for a shop when living in an apartment. I could have done that a long time ago! Sounds like ur setup is working well! Take care and be safe!
Just bought this exact table saw around Black Friday. This is going to be my first project with/for it so I can get my garage shop headed in the right direction! Awesome job and looking forward to using your plans!
That's a great saw! Good luck with the table it works great! Take care!
Great job, looks great and I will definitely copy your workbench, how about a router addition to it, have looked at a lot of them, your #1 to me thank you
Thx for watching! I don't use a router much. I'm sure u could add it but I barely use the table saw and I would use a router even less!
Looks great
Thx for watching
Well built!
Thanks! Works great love it!
I have watched countless versions of this workbench being built and your presentation is by far the easiest to understand. Was able to build it using 90% leftover lumber from other projects so it only cost me like $40 to make. Thanks a ton!
Glad it was helpful! $40 bucks is a steal! I guess keeping extra pieces of wood laying all over the garage is worth it :) Take care!
I was thinking the same thing! I like the size too. I think it is useful but practical when you don't have a ton of space. The only addition I will make is possibly a router station. Great project. Thanks!
I have had several people wanting to add a router table. I don't seem to ever need one I'm guessing more for wood working projects.
@@HomeProHero Definitely useful for woodworking. From basic work on drawers or rounding an edge on a table top to speaker boxes for car stereo projects or work on guitar bodies and pickguards. Routers are super useful and more so when they are mounted.
@63fryeguy I'm building this bench right now and I'm including the router. I will let you know how it turns out!
Great vid Subbed
Thanks for the sub!
We have the same saws! I'm about 3 hrs in and have all the bones done with the castors on. Next step is sheeting and finish the drop-down. Really great tutorial and idea dude, many thanks! Is there a way to post pics of our finished builds?
That's great! Send me a pic if it doesn't look better than mine ;) homeprohero1@gmail.com
Great bench. Thanks. Subscribed. Simple straightforward One Q/point.. Mitre saw bench does not look very substantial. Can see those hinges working loose.. Hope I am wrong. Maybe put in a through rod and bearings? Thanks for the inspiration and plans.
Thx for the sub! It's really firm at this point. Not sloppy at all if anything maybe a little too tight. You could always use longer screws into the 2x4 but I thought if the hinge screws can support a door from the side they should be good enough for the saw. Take care!
Great video! Ethan from Australia - only thing is imperial does my head in lol
Lol I here you! Little slow over here in the US! Thx for watching!
@@HomeProHero Wow! love it one of the few Americans that agree!
Man this is awesome! I was just about to buy one but this is inspiration to make one myself. Any thoughts on making a double so a big platform can be used if cutting a 4x8 sheet of plywood?
Thank for watching! You could make it bigger for sure. With that said my is getting pretty heavy to push around so weight might be a issue. I was just looking for a compact design and even at that size you can cut a 4x8 sheet of plywood mist of the time. Take care
What does your miter saw cover sit on in the back? I couldn’t tell from the video. Great job explaining everything and the final build is amazing!!!
Thx for watching! The saw sits on 3/4 mdf which is attached to 2x4 frame. I do have another 2x4 underneath the back legs of the saw for support! Look in the video description I provide a link to the plans and drawings to illustrate this. Take care
Thanks for showing this style workbench with no frills - no pocket holes, MDF top, standard lumber. I just wish materials were cheaper in Canada. This would cost around $4-500 Canadian. Nice build though, thanks a lot!
Thx for watching! Wow prices that high on lumber! Fires have anything to do with that?
Which table and miter saw do you have for this build? Love your ideas and I am getting ready to build mine around a DWS779 miter saw and the 7491RS table saw. Great video!
Thx for watching! My saw is discounted now buts it's a 12 compound saw. All the tools I use are linked in the description of the video! Wait until you see sundays video I added drawers under the table saw!
@@HomeProHero thanks and looking forward to it!
Yep think I found my next project
It works great!! Just got with my next project and it was nice! Thx for watching!
Thanks!
Appreciate the support! Thx
Nice Build 👍 i made my table out of the scraps i had available in the garage from shipping pallets. Besides the castor wheels i had zero cost Question, besides both side locks being locked out what else supports the weight of the miter saw when in use?
Just the hinges in the back along with the locks in the front. It's really firm nothing else really needed. Thx for watching!
Awesome workbench! I will be making this, but I don't have a table saw...yet.
Thx for watching! You don't use a table saw that much but when you do it sure is nice. Right tool for the right job! Take care
@HomeProHero you are welcome! Great content and thanks for not poking fun at a lady woodworker!
I truly appreciate this. At 4:11, what was your measurement from left to right. I’m following all of your measurements on the paper, but that’s my only hang up.
Thanks for watching! That 2x4 measures 2'4". Hope this helps!
made something so similar, same saws but built to about 8'long........like yours haha seems little more manageable
Thanks for the view! I had a spot in the garage I wanted to put it so i couldn't go any bigger if I wanted :) There are times I wish I had a little more room though but you are right its already a handful moving it at this size! Thanks
Only thing I'd do different is to make it foldable since I have a very small shop. Also I'd leave an opening under the table saw for wood chips and saw dust to fall through and not build up under it. Of course you can just as easily blow that out after use. Nice work bench and video.
Thx for watching!
Awesome build. I don’t see the plans to build it. Could you share the plans please? I have to build one! Best setup I have seen! Great job!
The free link to the plans is in the video description. Thanks for watching
Liking the build, the MDF on the top platform might give you a headache eventually. When I built mine, I did the same thing with the MDF. After some time, it'll get that fuzzy texture to it, which makes it impossible for a good cleanup after a project. I had to get a scrap piece of 1/8 " masonite and secure it to the MDF. It's so much better, if I had to do it again, I would use a piece of 3/4 AC plywood for the top. It's just as smooth, but definitely would not weather like the MDF. Again, love the build.
Yea you are exactly right! Already thinking should have used a different material but I like your solution! Might have to give that a try but it will require me to raise the saws up a little :( Thx for watching!
Great, thanks❤
Thx for watching!
I just use strong clean heay duty HVAC shipping pallets to build mine. Lol. Saves ALOT OF TIME on the foudation. Lol. Man, you sure love that Liquis nails. Lol. Overkill, but NICE JOB! P.S. I did my lower shelf under support differently, sort of like the bottom of a bed frame for the box springs. Lol. Then I used the green pallet struts you I get for free from 'Home Despot'. They're awesome! Very strong. Weaterproof too for damp locations like garages #ImJustHereForTheFoldingChopSawPlan. 🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅😁😁😁👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hey whatever works right! Thanks for watching
Nice!
Thanks!
Nice bench I’m going to bill one within the next two weeks. I just wanted to let the viewers know when you do half inch before the plywood clearance measure your plywood because even though it’s classified as half inch it is not half inch so your tablesaw will be a bit short from the main work area.
Thanks for watching!
Good stuff
Thanks for watching! Take care

I am envious of your 3 bay garage with the additional side area. Unless you have a wife with the silly notion that the cars have to go in the garage, you have the makings of a great shop.
I hear you! As long as the wife has a spot she could care less with the other two spots! With that said I'm planning on building a large barn in the near future so my garage will stay a garage :)
This is amazing.
Thanks for watching! Adding a few more things to it in the near future (videos coming)! Take care
@@HomeProHero awesome. I'm gearing up for another hand/wrist surgery, #5 in the last couple years. These kinds of videos help me escape a little and pretend my body didn't suck haha. Sure appreciate you and your quality work, both in the physical work but the video editing as well.

@@HomeProHero thank you. Looking forward to it.
Is there a special reason to chose mdf as the top, compared to plywood for instance? Thanks, and great build
Rather have an aswer then a like…. 😐
Hi. This is awesome!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to share the plans/build. I am stuck at 4:10 mark on video. I know you mentioned in comments that 2X4 is 28”. After looking at the plans is the measurement from front of bench (back side of you on that video )to the surface of 2x4 (palm of hand resting on 2x4) at 4:10 mark 13.5”?
Good question the drawings don't show that measure well! You are correct its 13.5" but it can be adjusted either way if needed. If adjusted several other measurements change. Thanks for watching! HPH
Thank you MD for straightening this out. I thought I was losing my mind. I can only throw my tape measure so many times.
