Selena is successful bc she tells her life story with her work and has likable, entertaining qualities. Talent in the entertainment industry is the ability to entertain the masses. That’s what Selena has worked hard to do. When I watched ‘Wolves’ live, I felt like I was watching Alex and Mason in a sequel AND Selena during her own tough times. Regardless of her vocal range, power, pitch etc... she is a first class performer.

The music industry has put us on a level where only the "high notes" are recognized and only they show talent. This song demands softness and lightness in the voice. A delicate voice like Sel's is very nice to hear. And honestly, if you don't like that kind of voice, there are another 300 artists who have the high-pitched voice and sell music on the sidelines. You don’t need to belt your way through a song to be a good singer. It is about technique and emotional value. She stayed in key the entire song and yes the band is louder but speaking from experience as I am a singer sometimes sound levels get mixed up. That is her voice and if she tried to sing louder than the band then she would be staining it. You people say she’s whispering and complain but yet if she tried to sing louder she would be straining and you would also complain about that. So I really feel like until you can perform and sing it isn’t your place to judge others. Just enjoy the performance and if you don’t simply leave the video.

Selena is successful bc she tells her life story with her work and has likable, entertaining qualities. Talent in the entertainment industry is the ability to entertain the masses. That’s what Selena has worked hard to do. When I watched ‘Wolves’ live, I felt like I was watching Alex and Mason in a sequel AND Selena during her own tough times. Regardless of her vocal range, power, pitch etc... she is a first class performer.

You don’t need to belt your way through a song to be a good singer. It is about technique and emotional value. She stayed in key the entire song and yes the band is louder but speaking from experience as I am a singer sometimes sound levels get mixed up. That is her voice and if she tried to sing louder than the band then she would be staining it. You people say she’s whispering and complain but yet if she tried to sing louder she would be straining and you would also complain about that.
