    • Since the show is not entirely super-celebrities and instantly recognizable people, the FromSoft people (and even some people in the crowd) probably think he's staff/production and the staff/production might think he's part of FromSoft. Nobody is thinking that much about it when you're just walking up to the stage. The most obvious part is him making it down the center aisle since he was clearly not sitting with FromSoft people but even then it's just taking advantage of the commotion

  • The flute guy is an extremely talented musician by the name of Pedro Eustache. He's worked with Hanz Zimmer in the past. Mad props to the guy, because his effort put a well deserved spotlight on Xenoblade, which otherwise would've been overshadowed by God of War and Elden Ring.

    • I'm glad someone else noticed who "flute guy" was. Pedro is incredible and his work in the Dune soundtrack was amazing. There's a great video by Vanity Fair where Pedro and Hans Zimmer are talking about how some of it was made. It's definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen it!

    • He literally walked up right when they did cause his seat was at the edge near them, so It couldn't be helped that everyone thought he was part of their group. So I don't really blame them for not knowing at the start. Thankfully he didn't have any bad intentions and he was taken away by security before anything could escalate. Also as disrespectful that kid was for going up there at the very least he didn't interrupt their speech until it was over.

  • I was there with my partner, this kid say 5 rows down. He went right down the aisle directly next to us, and kinda just solid snaked himself in. In person when he began speaking his microphone wasn't on, but it was for people on the stream. We didn't get to hear it all until we replayed the livestream. The stage crew behind us was super confused, and we were too. If it wasn't for security making sure no knives, pepper spray, or anything else, I'd be concerned something else would've happened.

    • That is actually normal for woodwinds basically flutes don't have very large note ranges so to compensate they have different flutes for different note ranges which is why they switch so much The "recorder" if i am not mistaken was actually a piccolo

  • The first instrument flute guy was playing is actually one of two hand crafted shinobue flutes that were made specifically for the making of the actual Xenoblade OST. A pretty huge nod to Xenoblade fans that know how important the production quality of the OST was to Monolithsoft. (Also one of the reasons why I think Xenoblade was fucking robbed of best score) Also, for anyone curious, flute guy is a legend named Pedro Eustache.
