Ref didnt show the "feel" for mma fights, a lot of fighters on the same night have been given a better opportunity to recover than Jiri but it still was a good stoppage by the rules. Jiri didnt answer like 10 behind the ear elbows
But Pereira didnt finish him. I believe He would destroy Pereira. Thats why Pereira doesnt want rematch. Pretty much the judges were twice on Pereira's side. Once against Blachowicz and second with Jiri.

Jiri embodies wiolence. (No one ever tell him he confuses his Ws and Vs.) Jiri ducked the punches with power. His head movement was sharp AF. He let the ones without power slide. Excellent predator. Fighting just for money (even though half of them lie about not wanting achievement) makes it impersonal and kind of pointless. Good answer, Jiri.

His coach offered him the book of five rings, strategy book from famous samouraï Myamoto Musashi (undefeated) and since then was inspired from it . He eventually fought in Japan in RIZIN FF where he became popular (build up like continuity of Mirko CRO cop when CROcop was finishing his career . Rizin ff (attempt of recreating legendary organizations pride FC , same CEO Sakakibara, and btw have best MMA gloves in market since pride FC unlike crappy UFC and one FC ). This is when I became a fan of Jiri prochazka , in 2016 with his fight vs Karl Albreksson . Jiri became rizin light heavyweight champion defeating King Mo Lawal (back then the only guy to ko him , 8 years later Pereira ko him for second time of his life). Some japanese fans compared his attitude with Swiss legendary kyokushin and kickboxer (from golden age of heavyweight) Andy hug (1996 K1 WGP champion, and most popular foreign fighter ever in Japan , even more than prime , rampage Jackson, wanderlei Silva, Mauricio, Fedor , Crocop, Don From, Coleman etc...) . It was during the golden age of K1 . Who was Andy Hug ? : He was a finalist in the most prestigious kyokushin karate event , world open (open weight) against kyokushin karate GOAT Shokei Matsui (loss close fight) . (Back then only japanese win until Brazilian legend and K1 finalist vs mark hunt : Francisco filho). Andy hug became popular in karate and later in kickboxing, because of his will to represent karate spirit and his speciallity , the famous axe kick ("kakato Geri") . He died by leukemia after his last fight vs Mirko CROcop , buried in Kyoto with honorific title of samouraï. It was big deal on TV news in Japan back then with a big funeral in both Switzerland and in Japan . (Now , from this generation , Bernardo legend from south Africa and Branko cikatic also passed away, RIP) I understand the comparison and Jiri prochazka have a better understanding of these things than casual MMA fansbwhibjust want character , and btw he got his green belt in kyokushin karate before this fight . Jiri was fighting long time in Japan (rizin champion) and As popular there , Andy hug (rip) had many nickname in his career ("tetsujin" iron man, "mister karate" , with peter aerts and Ernesto hoost was the only 3 kickboxer who was called "mister K-1") and he was called blue "eyed samouraï" by japanese kickboxing fans. Jiri never claimed to be a samouraï but being inspired by samouraï myamoto Musashi, he already said it when he was fighting in japan. (When fought in UFC did his hair in tribute to Muay Thai fighters as well btw ) . But honestly, if japanese fans called a foreign fighter "blue eyed samouraï " during the 90's , I don't see the problem of calling Jiri prochazka a "samouraï" as well (human samouraï,in rizin some called him the " Czech samouraï" ) . There is no mockery to make , it happened before for one extremely popular fighter in k1 . Jiri is far from being as popular as Andy hug in Japan but some japanese fans compared Jiri prochazka attitude to Andy hug 's attitude and for old school fans it's understandable. Happy to see him win , watch all his fight since 2016, always said he will win when was underrated and not famous, for the first time, I though he would lose to rakic but won like typical Jiri I use to watch. Very happy for the "Czech samouraï" .
