The Young and the Restless' iconic Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) sits down with Michael Fairman on the set of the CBS daytime drama series for this exclusive conversation for the Michael Fairman Channel.
Recently, Eric a previous Emmy-winner, received his 9th Lead Actor nomination during his enduring run on Y&R, but he also received a 10th when he and his co-star Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) were nominated together in 2002 in a special fan voted category for "America's Favorite Couple."
Braeden's 2024 nomination marks the first time in 20 years that he will be going for gold in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Daytime Drama Series at the upcoming 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards to be handed out on June 7th live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+
During the conversation, Eric touches on his nominated scenes, why he will participate in the Daytime Emmys at this point in his career due to changes in the voting procedures, his most embarrassing Emmy moment, how he feels about his fellow nominees, and more.

I loved Eric Bredaen since he first came too Y&R. I watched Y&R from the the first time it aired.I loved it when him and Billy Miller had there scenes together I would come home from work pray that these 2 brilliant actors were on that day! I hope he wins it’s long time coming!

If Eric ever writes Y&R, he would probably come up with better storylines.
I'll be damned...It's interesting to me how brutally honest he is about the BS in the biz and yet he stays in it...ACTORS...I think he could easily retire and do something else. But the Bell's LOVE him, always have or he would have been gone by now. He's part of their stable of cash cows. And as long as he brings the ratings and the money he won't be going anywhere anytime soon...you got that??? 😆
