Appreciate this info, Jason! My experience with earlier model Crucial 2TB drives has been outstanding.
Specially these ones are TINY!
Your reaction to the size was the same reaction I got when I undressed in front of a girl lol. Awesome compact storage!
I got the x10 a few weeks back, super SUPER fast writing video and photo files to it, Its brill never known anything like it :)😊
oh heck yeah! I am super happy with both. I personally Don't feel a massive difference most of the time unless I'm transferring massive files the X10 pro is super fast
I have the last version of the crucual external ssds the X8 2 TB . It work great but this is pretty impressive.
These ones are just TINY & fast which is awesome
I've just got the X10 Pro and stick a magnet ring on it to use with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Its small size is just perfect for the iPhone.
hey, can you maybe help me with this question - does this device, x9 pro specifically, work as expected when connected to a phone with password protection on, or does the password protection need to be removed in order to be connected to and files shown on a phone?
@@namratat3384 You will need to remove the password protection first.
Thank you for this Jason. Any idea where you can buy it in Australia? Your link is US
I got the X10 and it's been incredible so far. It's smaller than my Samsung T7. I do recommend to MBP M1 users if they get this drive, to not to reformat it to Mac Journal, leave it as ex-fat and it will run at suggested speeds. It's wild, but it's the only way to get the drive to run properly to the MBP M1.
What speed did you get on the MBP M1?
It would be helpful to know what computers have the 3.2 gen capability. were you using a Mac Pro Max?
Jason, comparing these Crucial SSD (released 7-25-23) to HDD drives which are older than Zip Drives is comical & sad at the same time... While the rest of the information was great somehow I just can't imagine that you actually still use HDD even in your antiquated PC when you have a state of the art Mac available to you!! Crucial is one of the standards for Memory Silicon for at least the past 20+ years... A more apt comparison might have been Samsung T7 Extreme which I can't imagine you would not have already come across in your work. Jason, at the end of the day thank you for all your hard work and usually great and outstanding videos.
hey, can you maybe help me with this question - does this device, x9 pro specifically, work as expected when connected to an android phone with password protection on, or does the password protection need to be removed in order to be connected to and files shown on an android phone?
@Jason Morris - Can this drive be partitioned? I am going to use it to back up several other drives.
Can you use it on ipad, edit from the drive without importing the files into the ipad? Example on lumafusion
I can not find any video comparing these to the previous X8 model which on paper is exactly the same data speed and technology as the latest X9 model.
Sounds like a MagSafe version with a sleek, built-in male, USB-C port would be great for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Is the write speed constant after 100gb or does it slow right down then? Seems 100gb is the magic number that most manufacturers aim for, give it fast memory for 100gb and then it moves the data over to the much slower memory when plugged in and idle freeing up the fast stuff again for next time, but once you write more than 100gb you then find yourself slower than a hdd..
have u tested it
I read the comments and reviews of the customers about this product and some of them announced the problem of data loss and even in some cases the hard drive failure, which has been in the market for a short time. Have you encountered similar problems?
I directly edit on my new x9, its really good 👍🏻
oh nice! Feel like its fast enough? I've done the same and does fine IMO too
@JasonMorrisphotocinema bro I was on a Samsung T3 from a fair few years back with 450 mb/s write speed.. I feel like a super hero lol
hey, can you maybe help me with this question - does x9 pro work as expected when connected to a phone with password protection on, or does the password protection need to be removed in order to be connected to and files shown on a phone?
Hi - can this work as OTG for Samsung s23 ultra? As I am planning to buy one? Thanks
*Do they work on android smarphones?*
heyy Jason are the Crucial X9 Pro 1 TB Compatible with Lumix S5 Mark II X??? i might buy the wrong ssd 😆
I don’t know specifically with that camera sorry
Hi! Did you find out more about the S5IIX and the Crucial X9 drive?
@@stevenchristides no, sorry cz i decided to buy sony A7iv 😹
@@nkcreative4249 The plot twist was strong hahah. The S5IIX is a beast but so is the A7IV. Enjoy the new camera!
About to buy one using your link but it doesn’t open anymore.
Will they include c to c cable ? And also which one do you prefer samsung t7 touch or crucial x9 pro
