I was in Kyoto on the anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima & Nagasaki. An elderly man stood in the middle of the sidewalk and waited for me to come near. A surreal moment, it was as if everything went into slow motion, and it was just him and me. He looked me directly in the eyes, which is unusual in Japan, and handed me a folded paper doll representing the victims of the bombs, then bowed deeply. I bowed as deeply in return. No words were spoken. It was a brutally life changing, heartbreaking, humbling moment of acknowledgement, accountability, mutual humanity, and forgiveness that I'll never forget. 37 years later, I still have that paper doll to remind me of the lesson I learned that day.

In all my years of the internet, I haven't seen someone being so rude, racist, and disrespectful towards Japanese people in Japan. He should be permanently banned from Japan for his racist behavior

I am an Indian got very angry at this guy how he is disrespecting japanese. They are one of world most hard working, disciplined, honest people.
This video is living proof how respectful Japanese and Asians are as a whole. I'm sure if this happened in any other country/continent, either he would've been beaten up badly or probably executed.
