On May 11, 2019, Matt Korobov battled Immanuwel Aleem in a 10-round middleweight bout. This fight was broadcast live on FOX from EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia as part of the Premier Boxing Champions series.
Korobov was comfortably in control of the fight early on, however as the fight went on, Korobov became noticeably gassed, allowing Aleem to make up some points.
The fight ultimately went the distance and Korobov was awarded a majority decision victory. However, an error was made when tallying up the judges scores and the decision was changed to a majority draw (95-95, 95-95, 97-93).

Korobov is a Good inside fighter as well he's very sneaky. He was a great Amateur as well schooled Danny Jacobs u can watch that fight on youtube. Anyways Korobov was robbed 100% i believe hes with Al Haymon he needs to ditch them head to DAZN he's got nothing to lose everything to gain.

Korobov is a great technical fighter with lots of experience. His only real lost was against Andy Lee, who caught him with a shot that he couldn’t recover from. Korobov would give anyone problems, especially fighting him on short notice. Charlo showed how to adjust and how he has game changing power. Charlo was never exposed, he showed character fighting a class of fighter like Korobov in such short notice.

One judge was watching a different fight. Aleem gave a good performance but lost 7 rounds. Winning the last 2 rounds does not make up for that. There needs to be more officiating of the officials in boxing. I even saw that creep Mark Nelson referee another fight after the strong outcry of his blatant crooked refereeing in Pac/Horn debacle.

Myers was grossly unfair to Aleem by issuing only 1 warning to korobov for head butting. 10th rd korobov pushed with his head on Aleem from center ring to the ropes: no warning. Myers was grotesque openly against Aleem in her favor toward M. Korobov. She did a much better job refereeing Davis vs Aliva.

That was a lousy ref. When refs act lazy, everyone loses, including the fighters. It gets sloppy, rules are not adhered to, it's a sport, not cage fighting! Korobov does too much holding. It's not even worth watching!!!

Best opponent charlo who he struggled against, had to pull out against Eubanks jnr and stopped by Andy Lee who is mediocre . This guy has done nothing. The ref really didn’t have control of this fight. Idk if it’s cause it’s a woman, but she wasn’t aggressive enough and seemed kinda timid and tentative. Plus they didn’t really, or couldn’t, listen to her. Don’t really want to see boxing move in this direction for “gender equality.” I just want the best ref in there to make the fights go smooth and get the best action w/o illegal shit happening.
