  • Looks like you figured it out in the video, but a you need a piece of scrap wood behind whatever it is you're drilling. wood fibers only go in one direction and having a force go against it will cause splintering. it's something taught in woodshop in some USA high schools.

  • This wall is so beautiful, it looks professionally done. It's clear you care a lot about your projects and your cats and that makes your videos wonderful. Seeing them enjoy the shelf at the end after working hard on it must be so satisfying. :)

  • Legit question: could I fill cracks and do the dowels, then put finish on the project.

    @sooshrholes647@sooshrholes6473 жыл бұрын
    • Yes, you could definitely do that. One reason that people stain the individual pieces prior to assembly is that it is easier than trying to stain the finished inside corners/angles but it is not impossible to do after assembly.

    • At 7:30 it shows the shelf being attached to a large board and that large board was then attached to the wall, which is a really interesting way to do it actually

  • 9:30 - Why does this cat not have a tail?

    @ericvandruten@ericvandruten2 жыл бұрын
    • thank you for watching! he has key tail. There are a lot of key tails or bob tails cat in Japan from long time ago. there are a lot of reason. but i like the reason about NEKOMATA monster. In samurai age,people believed when a cat with a long tail gets old, it becomes a monster called Nekomata. so they were scared long tail cat. and they didnt bred them. they take care about short tails. This is a picture of a cat painted in the 1800s. Many cats with short tails are depicted. ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%8D%E3%82%B3%E3%81%AE%E6%96%87%E5%8C%96#/media/%E3%83%95%E3%82%A1%E3%82%A4%E3%83%AB:Cats_suggested_as_the_fifty-three_stations_of_the_Tokaido.jpg

    • @@DIYCATVILLAGE OK, that's great, I've guessing it was 350mm in length before(pretty close), thank you! I'll build 2 type of it, one with the same size as you, and one more for the kitten it would be smaller, I will use 24cm wide pine wood planks for it. Again, thanks for answering me, not a lot of KZheadr answering people questions you know? So thanks for making me so sure and excited to build two of it, because I have a lot of cats. 😊

  • Great video! I love that you showed how to use the tools. But, your cat popping up through the hole at the end freaked my cat out. Maybe consider that your audience is cat owners and there may be cats watching?
