    • On my instrument flight checkride... my examiner didn't let me take my foggels off (special glasses we wear that that blocks the outside view) on the practice ILS approach he tested me on... At the time I didn't think about it but in reality I had no visual reference outside of the airplane for the entire time... ILS minimums are usually flown down to 300 feet above the runway.. Apparently I did fine on the full procedure because I passed the flight exam. lol. So yes, Pilot's put A LOT of trust into their instruments.

  • 47 seconds in....Yes, yes! Nice POV. I always wanted to see a walk-through, and those panels up close. Now, back to the vid. Also, those views from behind give us a perspective of what your passengers see. I think the view of an opaque sky from the back seat is indeed disconcerting.
