They really showed the French team in the most underwhelming way here whereas they were the funniest and most energetic of the world cup. Most people misread their attitude but they did come to win no matter what and they're always slow starters anyway, but then their teamwork was outstanding. That bunch of crazy youngsters came as one saying they wanted to play against the best in the world and win. And the Croatian team was absolutely outstanding, what an amazing worldcup !

I am Brazilian and I live in the USA. During the Mexico x Germany game I was traveling through Arizona, and stopped by a Mexican restaurant to watch the game, wearing my brazil jersey, it was the only thing I had on. Those Mexicans jumped and screamed like it was their independence...it was beautiful, and I cheered with them haha. They accepted me, we gave high fives, what an experience. After the game I left and our car got stuck with a flat tire in the desert. I got out and as I was changing it, a car full of Mexico fans still cheering drove by. They stopped, remembered me that I was in the bar with them, and pulled over to help me change my tire. We still cheered, sang songs, got the spare tire on, we shared beers, said "viva Mexico", they told me they would be cheering for Brasil, and went our separate ways. Now tell me...what other sport on the planet does this to people??? Not basketball, not baseball, not cricket, not American rugby. Only Football, best sport in the world.

I am also proud of my national football team for being able to reach one-fourth of the world Cup finals. I also consider the Russia-Croatia match one of the most spectacular for my national team. I'm from Cuba and I am a big fan of Italy, but since they didn't qualified I watched the WC just because I'm a big fan of football, but since the beginning Croatia stole my heart and I supported them through out the whole competition and I also screamed my lungs out when Mandzukic scored, that was for me the best moment in the whole cup. It hurted me that Croatia didn't win at the end, such a small country and with some football players that aren't stars, I love that. Love these WC Official Films! I was so thrilled for France in ‘98, probably having been regarded as on of the underachievers, historically speaking prior to that victory. To now see them as 2X WC winners (in what was an action packed final) is fantastic! Well done to Croatia, too, the 2nd nation in the space of 3 tournaments to make a 1st WC final

I am French. The penalty during the final is unfair. Without this refereeing error, the match would have been very close. A superb team from Croatia who had to play against a counter-attacking team a goal behind all the game. By adding the 3 matches of 120 min, that's a lot of disadvantages... It will remain for me the most inspiring team of the tournament. Very high technical level and tenacity.

The best memory I have as a swede was the match against Mexico. The final whistle had just gone as my team won 3-0 and the swedish fans we're roaring and celebrating. A few minutes later, as the tv channel I watched was still broadcasting, the mexican fans had just got the news that South Korea had won against Germany and they started celebrating as well. This is the only time I experienced the fans of both team celebrating at the end of the match, regardless of the result. Everytime I think of this memory, I get chills. Incredible

Greetings from India. Russia had been an amazing host. I was there during the entire tournament and watched a couple of matches in Sochi and Saransk. Everything was so well organized and decorated. It was the best summer of my life and a dream come true. People were so welcoming and friendly.. not at all dangerous as claimed by western propaganda.

That Belgium/Japan Round of 16 was the most entertaining of the entire tournament. Shocked for an hour and a rush of adrenaline the last 30 minutes. Amazing

I'm from Poland. This World Cup was amazing, even though the Polish national team played poorly. Overall, I remember this tournament well.
You are right, the Poles played bad. Probably they were one of the weakest teams in the World Cup. And certainly the weakest European team. However, everyone will remember the defeat of the Germans
