    • I forgot most of these even existed. It’s sad how forgettable all these streaming shows and movies are. At least for 100 flops we get one good film tho, or 1 good season before they ruin it or cancel it 😂

    • I spent most of the year on K-dramas. The One piece adaptation and new season of Hilda were pretty solid. Glad to see Reservation Dogs gets a few seconds of recognition. Just easier to make fun of lackluster mainstream films.

  • Jason Schwartzman had a renaissance era this year too. Scott Pilgrim takes off, Spiderman into the spiderverse, hunger games the ballad of songbirds and snakes and astroid city. That dude is a great actor and I hope to see him more in films in the future

    • Some of my favorite watches of the last couple years include Willy's Wonderland, and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. For Willy's in particular, every moment Cage was on screen was pure gold and every moment focused on other characters was flaming hot garbage.

    • And he can still ACT. He was fantastic in the Colour Out Of Space adaptation a few years ago, and his Cage-ness actually worked perfectly with the Lovecraftian horror. He really nailed when to over- vs under-play a line, and was very creepy for it.

  • To be fair to Jamie Lee Curtis, she has worked consistently for four decades and her fantastic performances prove she deserves the roles she gets. She is also at this point a bigger star than either of her parents ever were. Very few "nepobabies" have had such consistent and long careers.

  • Why is Awakfina's agent just so damn eager to get her into any voice over role that is open? I don't even think it's out of passion for the style, I think it's just because it's the easiest thing for her to do. She's even got at least a half-dozen more VA roles coming in 2024 already confirmed in Kung Fu Panda 4 and IT alone.

  • The funny thing is that Video Game Adaptations, the one category usually cursed, got their best year with The last of Us, Super Mario, Five Nights at Freddy and we can even add Dungeons and Dragons even though it is a boardgame. We are truly living in a weird era.
