4:25 before this performance Jin sang 'Epiphany' and it's really beautiful, he's playing the piano and singing while Army sang with him, it's such an emotional performance, and i love how Jin's outfit had flowers it's matched with the Song, it's about a man who grew flowers in his garden for a woman he secretly loved but the woman died before he could help her 🤧

I mean I agree the song and emotion and passion is hypnotizing, and I'm a massive ARMY, but I think it's a stretch to say deciding to stand still is a level of genius....literally most slow ballad songs have singers who stand still because they don't want to detract from the singing etc.

Its their geniusness to captivate millions of ppl even without doing anything. @@udontknowme9405 To do choreography to this song would be wrong on every level. It would detract from the meaning of it. What @Alokita Verma said was true yes! But more so is the fact that if they were to move around you wouldn't be able to see the pain in their faces, the loneliness, yearning and at times...loss of hope. I believe almost EVERY ARMY has connected to this song in one way or another at some point in their life and we know BTS have. So to SEE them share that with us, is special. Also... This a story that was so beautifully written, by an ACTUAL genius, and was then geniusly performed by the makanae line. I stand by my statement! Borahae 🤟🏻🤪💜

This was when they were starting the tour and weren’t going as crazy with the song. There are so many variations to that ending. Jimin’s high note as lib, also a low note ad lib, V doing the ad libs instead, Jimin crying so JK took over his part, JK laughing at his mistake and covering it with fake tears 🤣. You could literally watch every version of this song, and it’s never the same.
This song is based on a fictional story Big Hit created. It’s a story called 'La Città Di Smeraldo' that takes place in a small town in Italy in the 1500s-1600s. The story's about an 'ugly' man who hid in an old castle alone. because of his looks he received lots of hate & cruelty while growing up. He never opened his heart to anyone. Whenever they tried to approach him, he hid in anger. His happiness was to plant flowers in his garden. One day a woman appeared near the man's castle. She jumped over the garden fence and stole a flower. This angered the man at first. So he watched his garden all night. But when he fell a sleep, the woman took another flower. This continued for several nights. The man pretended to be asleep and watched the woman steal a flower. He started becoming curious about the woman. He began waiting for her. without realizing he kept waiting for her to come and the next day seemed a little brighter. Following after her one day he realized that she was selling the flowers that she stole from him to make a living. The man desperately wanted to help the woman. But he was afraid she would be terrified by the way he looks. He knew she would not love his 'grotesque' appearance. He came to a conclusion that the only way he would be able to help her is to let her continue stealing flowers from his garden. The man decided to make a flower that doesn't exist on the planet. So that the woman could sell them at a expensive price. He began to make the flower in his castle. After many unsuccessful attempts, the man made a flower that didn't exist and filled his garden. But the woman stopped coming. No matter how long he waited she never came to his garden. He eventually found out that the woman had died.

Anthony, please check out Jin's live performance of Epiphany that precedes this. That's why Jin was up front. He had just finished his performance and was waiting on stage for JK, Tae and Jimin. Of course he has on the same outfit so it's pretty easy to find. The live version is much longer than the video and to see Jin perform it live is such a treat.

I thought I'd seen them all but if he's done a reaction to the live performance, I must have missed it. Of course, the only reason I suggested watching Jin live is because his performance is so beautiful and emotional and I thought Anthony would really enjoy that.

Jin is my bias, too. I simply adore his voice and Tonight, Awake , Abyss and Epiphany all make me cry. But then again I could listen to Tae, Jimin and JK sing endlessly. I love them all!
Jin is my favorite vocalist too! Other than JK, he also has a stable voice. He is rarely out of tune nor his voice cracks on their live performances. When Jin sings live, I just knew he would kill it. He should stop eating CDs!

This was the first song that made me cry when I first listened to it before even knowing what it was about. The way they convey emotion through only their voices is BEYOND me…truly talented

So glad to see you react to this. My top 10 varies from day to day and minute to minute, but this song is ALWAYS in it. Also it’s definitely one where their live performance surpasses the official recoding, great as that it. Their ability to stand dead still and convey so much emotion is astounding.

There is one performance of this song when Jin's voice croaks on his verse, and JK starts giggling but tries to cover it like he is crying. 😂 The whole stadium notices and starts laughing at JK. I always felt sorry for Jin because he must have thought they were laughing at him, but that performance is priceless because of JK💜💜💜
Jin did the same thing when Tae had problems during the the Truth Untold. And you know what extent that nut took it to. Absolutely hilarious! (BTW I love Jin. He's my bias.) I don't know who did it first but JK and Jin sort of operate on the same wave length. I'm just glad Jimin never got involved because he gets so uncontrollably tickled. And I don't think poor Tae had a clue, either. Gotta love them all!

When you want to take a break with a killer, non-dancing, emotive vocal line performance again, try House of Cards, it's my fav vocal line and the performance is so beautiful. For another stripped down version, Your Eyes Tell performance is gorgeous (and JK co-wrote it) - but it is all 7 of them. Love the reaction.

In that castle lived a man with grotesque appearance. He was the love child of a duke from a powerful family in Florence. The duke fell in love with the daughter of his gardener and gave birth to this man. The mother of the man passed away from excessive bleeding after giving birth to him. The wife and children of the duke wanted to kill the man, so the duke sent the man away to let him escape. The man hid himself in the old castle, lonely. probably, it was because of the hatred he received from birth and while he's growing up that he didn’t open his heart to anyone, he got angry and hid if someone tried to approach him. His only joy was growing flowers in his garden. But one day, a girl appeared near the man’s castle. The girl in ragged clothes lifted her heels, jumped over the garden fence and stole the flowers. The man got angry at first, he spent the whole night to guard the garden. But in his brief moment of sleepiness, the girl picked flowers again and ran away. It happened for several days, until one night the man pretended to fall asleep and watched the girl go. He was curious. Without realizing it, the man waited for the girl, and one day he followed her. He covered himself with a cloak and after following here the man discovered, the poor and weak girl was selling flowers for a living. The man wanted to help the girl. He wanted to teach her every method of growing flowers he knew, he wanted to teach her how to grow beautiful flowers. But he couldn’t come forward to the girl. She would be scared of him, she wouldn’t love his grotesque appearance. In the end, the only thing he could do was to grow and take care of the flowers so she could keep coming to his garden. The man decided to make a special flower that doesn't exist in the world. He started to make a flower so that the girl could sell at an expensive price. The man shut himself in the castle to make the flower. After countless attempts, the man made a flower that never existed in the world, and filled his garden with that flower. But the girl was nowhere to be seen. No matter how much he waited, the girl wouldn’t come to his garden. The man grew concerned and went to the village with his face covered. But he discovered that the girl had already died.
This is from the first concert on the tour. As the tour went on they got more and more free and experimental with their ad libs. Jimin and Tae take high notes and it’s just so beautiful. Hi think you’d really like the vocal line song “House of Cards.” A very different style and also shows off their voices just *chefs kiss*
