  • Nice to see sunshine ... SIGH ! We got a foot of snow 2 days ago. I've had to shovel for 2 hours to get my cars out of the driveway. My COVID stint is almost over as I seem to recover well. We're lucky to have your beautiful videos to boost our good humour. CHEERS ! RICHARD

  • Hey Russ, I’m 50 years old living in Canada and I’ve got a Leisure travel van. Still kind of stuck with the work life here but I watch your videos religiously. Your narration is so relaxing and you get to all of the places where I know I’m gonna hang my hat in my later life. Thanks for doing such a great job I really appreciate it and the educational end of it is phenomenal.

  • Back in the 80s I was wandering around in the desert north of Havasu and found some 50 caliber shell casings. I wonder if they might have been from when Site 6 was an aircraft gunnery training site?

  • I don't needed to go back in time to see it. I stayed in the apartments above the boat ramp in 1974. I can't remember any city there back then. I was back there this last March. I didn't know it was call site six took me a bit to find the place. I was surprised the building it was still there, it was old back then.

  • I used to sell fuel and oil to the folks running the island airport for a year or so before it all closed. It's been so long I have a hard time visualizing what it used to look like in my head. Heck, it's hard to remember what Havasu looked like 40+ years ago when I moved here.

  • Hi there Russ, We were there last Sunday. Came up from Emerald Cove RV Resort to go to the Swap Meet and get some broasted chicken dinners at Scotty's. Have you gone to Scotty's yet? I forgot all about Go Lake Havasu web site to check out the events going on. Sure would have liked to seen the RC air show. Yes it was a bit breezy and cool but still nice. Glad to see the water level is still good on the lake and even down on the Parker Strip. The Colorado River was beautiful too. Hey, 'bout time to get the ole' Dusty Nugget out for a cruise. On our way home Monday we stopped in Quartzsite, it looked a little slow but we went to Beer Belly's Adult Day Care for a burger. Best diesel price was in Parker at 4.84 a gal. We're headed back after Thanksgiving for a couple weeks. Thanks for another great video!

  • I visited Lake Havasu in 2017 and 2018, and I can't believe how much it has changed in such a short period of time. Shot my own videos while I was there, so I'm happy I was able to document it as it was at the time. I saw Site Six from the water when I took a Colorado River boat tour, (which I highly recommend,) and it too was much smaller. At the time I was there Lake Havasu had a nice, small town resort vibe, but with all the building and development going on it's quickly losing that nice, small town feel, which I find very sad. I would really hate to see it get over developed and over crowded. That would ruin it for me.
