Herb obviously has the physical gifts and wows you, hence the typical bias despite the losing record. And Tua went wild last season after the previous season of constant concussions, even being mentioned in the MVP conversation. I think he is under appreciated because he doesn’t throw the ball 70+ yards. But for some reason the dude whoops the ravens in a wild comeback for 6 TDs and gets zero credit.

How is he ranked behind Jordan Love (who has just played one season), Anthony Richardson who played a whopping 4 games, and Purdy who puts up great stats just like him cause of his weapons. Two years ago Tua led the NFL in rating, and last year in yards. Also Herbert has won anything, and hasn't gotten better since his rookie season. He has had so many chances to bring his team back in a game with the last possession and failed to do so. Despite having the "rocket" arm, his career yards per attempt is 7.1 and Tua is 7.7 (including the years Flores held him back)

    @darnell16player@darnell16player15 күн бұрын
    • I think the Bears really screwed Fields over. The Bear’s had very little talent Fields first year. Fields second year was Ryan Poles first and Poles gutted the team, so even less talent. His third year and first time with #1 receiver and Moore had a career year. Fields made improvements every year. But, there are two reasons the Bears are moving on. 1st, luckily because of the Panthers trade they have the #1 pick with a consensus number one QB (and thus believes has a higher ceiling). If they only had their #9 pick, they would be sticking with Fields and not attempting to move up for a QB. 2nd it resets the rookie QB contract window.

      @rickallen848@rickallen84815 күн бұрын
    • @@rickallen848 that’s still not a good reason to firstly trade him and have a unknown at QB who is going to bust in my opinion and they could have gotten Harrison Jr and continued to build around him. It’s things like this plus the turmoil the bears have done is why they will never have a good QB when they ruin the best one they had in a long while

      @darnell16player@darnell16player15 күн бұрын
    • @@darnell16player It’s the reasoning that they are using, time will tell if it is the best or not. However, I’m in your camp, I would have preferred to trade the #1 pick for a haul and believe that would have made for better future teams. I also believe Poles is a little worried what his legacy would be if he passed up Stroud and Williams (if he meets the predictions). I’d also be ROTFLMAO if Fields takes the Steelers to the SB…. Poles would be having Steelers trade nightmare for the rest of his life.

      @rickallen848@rickallen84815 күн бұрын
    • @rickallen848 you're right on that but its also just a revolving door at QB. I'm a Pats fan and the reason why I was against drafting Maye at #3 was just that, there's no team to develop a QB properly. The Bears and Pats did no favors for Fields and Jones and are just throwing things at the wall hoping one sticks. The Bears have at least done some work to build a franchise, but at what cost really? Williams is touted as the best generational talent, but he couldn't elevate USC to a legit contender and constantly fell short against the ranked DI teams in college. Now, he is a division that has quality defenses time will tell but personally it was bad move.
