Well Arceus is the god of all pokemon so it makes scense why it would have its own pokemon game
If it sells well, I don't see why they wouldn't make more. Especially now that we've seen another company besides Gamefreak being brought into the world of mainline games.
Probably, but I'd imagine it would focus on the mythical Pokémon. So we could have Legends Celebj, Legends Victini, Legends Manaphy, Legends Jirachi, or maybe even Legends Magearna?? Since Magearna is quite old, it could delve into its creation.
I don't mind the chibi style that much. It's not that bad, but I understand many people don't like chibi style art. And if legends does well I can only imagine future games. Hopefully gamefreak gets the time they need to really make the game great.
They can't have the time, have you seen how much people already demanded DP remakes. I bet you in a year they'll be asking Gen 5 remakes🙄
@@jasonmartinez7774 Ya sadly they are being rushed by both fans and the tight schedule. I know they can make a great game if they are given time to actually do them.
Its kinda hard to ask for Gen 4 remakes in less than 2 years, and have all the routes graphically redesigned into something like BotW. I am glad they went for this style and not "Let's Go, Sinnoh". Because the chibi style allows for faithful remakes. Let's Go also has chibis but they are so simplified to account for the the new catching system. The size of the sprite in these new games are actually to scale with the originals, and I am thankful for that lol.
@@shuheihisagi6689 I think that's one thing people are afraid of the "faithful" part. Meaning maybe nothing new like Pokémon or mechanics. But I don't mind the chibi art, it shows they are trying something new and see what works.
@@inukaiya1509 I believe the main reason for their art style choice and being faithful remakes is due to the fact they really weren't prepared to be demanded DP remakes this soon after the SwSh expansions
My Only Concern about the remakes They said they were FAITHFUL REMAKES, meaning there’s a chance that the ORIGINAL SINNOH DEX, will be implemented & Flint may only have 2 Fire Types in his team
Porygon Z was in the trailer. Platinum dex is in this game
Sinnoh is my favorite region and games however I do think they should take some liberties and sprinkle in some Pokemon from other regions (especially fire types), sinnoh variants, and sinnoh mega evolutions to spice the game game
Porygon Z was in DP postgame It being there literally means nothing when it's a popular gen 4 mon in a gen 4 game
They better have some fire types as that is my biggest grip with those games

I needed this purity after KZhead subjected me to a Verlisify auto play on my commute I got stuck with due to Bluetooth acting up and not letting me skip or pause. So much negativity I felt dirty
Same! I was actually surprised Verlisify was so negative, he’s usually the one who defends pokemon 24/7 no matter what. I’m totally hyped for all of this, gotta be grateful for what we can get!

What makes me really excited is that Pokemon Legends Arceus could be the third style of pokemon games going forward. You can have Main series, Let's Go, and Legends style games.
It's pretty much different approach to Let's Go actually.
@@mjm3091 no, because it is focusing on a single pokemon, as well as seeming open world, and being in the past.
@@gabrielkrows488 Let's GO also focused more on singular Pokemon (Pikachu or Eevee). There was much more open approach to these remakes with how Pokemon spawned. And relatively to any other game in the franchise - they also happen in the past (they rewrite the RGBY timeline linking it to HGSS and later storylines). Also I wouldn't bet for super open world - we saw one location and small town, trailer for SwSh showed more open areas.
Let's Go was a discontinued series, sorry. Meaning that from now on Gamefreak will either do main series or Legends, and probably give the remakes to other companies.
@@MariOmor1They've gone back on general expectations they have set before (both positive (i.e. National Dex) and negative (i.e. the gen 2 type chart being the finalized one)), so if there is enough demand to make more _Let's Go!_ titles and/or _Legends:_ titles look like a good idea, they shalt supply

Legends is clearly a step into a new direction and maybe the birth of a new series
It is a new series. The fact that the game is called Legends Arceus and not just Arceus probably means a series.

I hope that we get a Johto & Unova remake on the Nintendo Switch.
They are all going to be rushed and lack any fun content because fans keep asking for a new game every year.

I remember getting diamond for Christmas, I will buy it day "one" as an adult. Lol
Same here, back in the day I didn't have a DSi or even the game for myself, I had a friend who had a DSi and Diamond, and I've been in love with the pokemon games since, with Mystery Dungeon easily taking the cake as my favorite spinoff series, although I do want to try Colosseum and XD sometime. I remember begging my mom for a DSi and Pokemon Diamond, and when I finally got them, I almost NEVER put down my DSi. I would play it while it was charging, took it everywhere I went, and I remember how excited I was when I beat Cynthia for the first time. Gen 4 holds a lot of good memories for me and easily the best memories of my life, and as I'm almost 21, I'll be able to buy the game for myself now that I'm a grown adult with a full time job.

Guys... now it is time to do proper memory management in this gane development phase. Don't worry. The lag will disappear as code will be refactored and unecessary things will be take out. Games like these are written with C++, which allows for proper memory management, and therefore the opportunity to eliminate lag

I feel the same about the artstyle for bdsp, I like that the chibi looks like the og sprites from the camera angle. Plus the lets go/swsh graphics for battle

I wish I had the nostalgia of Pokémon diamond and Pearl. I only got into Pokémon around Pokémon ultra sun and moon. 😔. But I am still so excited for these remakes
Yup, I got into Pokemon through Go, and the first game I played was the base Sun and Moon. Remakes look cute though. And the pre-make looks sick.

Legends Arceus gets me hyped, i've always loved Sinnoh, and the LORE of pokemon always interested me, this could be a step into a new era of pokemon games - one which could become more complex with story telling and lore, open world has much more potential than the traditional games. IM HYPED.

I am so pumped for Legends Arceus. I have been wanting them to just make new games in old regions that weren't remakes since gen 5.
BW2 are SEQUELS. Legit everything from the story, region ect are different than the first. If you wanna act like that then In your logic Sinnoh is getting it's 3rd remakes 💀. Platinum was gen 4s remake which came out in 2008/9.
@@pkmnproductions7461 I’m very aware B2W2 are sequels. This may shock you, but Unova was not an old region at the time of their release. In fact, they started development as dual “third versions” for black and white. Iwata didn’t like the idea of dual third versions and so they were shifted into sequels. B2W2 is the best execution of the third version concept in my opinion. However, I would have preferred they not take place in Unova. At the time there was a lot of call for Hoenn remakes and this would have been the perfect way to break out of the remake rut they seem to be stuck in. Instead we got minor changes to a region we had just played through.

A really small detail that I love is the remixed and updated tune to arceus' original cut battle theme being heard as it appears. Im so hyped to finally get 1. Another mythical contributing to a game 2. a game set in the past 3. and for all of that to happen in a seemingly open world wild setting. I really hope the game turns out well.

having ilca make the diamond and pearl remakes might mean they plan on having them develop more of the previous generations for the switch (in return adding more games compatible with ilca's pokemon home) while game freak continues the franchise meaning you can access all generations on one console, completely a theory of mine but thought it was worth sharing,

The remakes look pretty nice actually. I get that people don't like the chibi look but it looks alot like the old ones. I'm going to stay positive and i know the next few trailers wil show us that the games won't be dissapointing.

I believe that we're not out of the ballpark yet, but this IS looking to be a square up on Gamefreak' part to combat the rising demand for the older audiences wanting a better game. Chibi is an excellent art style for a game with the primary audience being children, and Legends is a more "Mature" way of going about it. Lets be honest though, I doubt that all of our wishes have suddenly been granted, but still. H Y P E.
@@GoldenOrderBS Right now, all we can hope for is improvement, which is what we’ve got. Gen4 isn’t a carbon copy of SwSh, and we got a new version too that will be about its history (which I hope we get for other generations in the future - like for kyurem (original dragon) or XY’s zygarde and the war). Hopefully the games live up, and from there gamefreak can improve. I can see gen9 being a little more like the legends game as well.

I'm so happy I grew up with D/P/PL (My 1st ever Pokemon game was Platinum) and just seeing a remake of them for all these years is just... AMAZING! This'll bring back memories!!!

Diamond and Pearl was my favorite game, so, despite not really liking the chili art style, I'm glad to see it remade on the switch. I just hope that there is actually something added to it instead of just remastering it like it appears to be now.

Personally Diamond and pearl was the first game I ever owned and after seeing how they upgraded johto in that remake, I’ve had high hopes for a grand remake and this was literally just not it. No one and I mean NO ONE asked for a remaster.

@@quangamershyguyyz7166 I might sound like a karen but as consumers we have the right to criticize. Of course they don't have to listen to our complaints and I wouldn't go as far as to threaten their employees but we're only complaining because we see a brighter future and we WANT that future. We shouldn't be forced to settle with something we're obviously discontent about. I myself already had low expectations for this game but a "faithful remaster" was but anything I could've imagined and hoped for. They gave us beautiful remakes such as heartgold silver and a pretty decent one like ORAS, and it honestly just feels like dppt fans, arguably the largest fanbase got the short end of the straw and it just doesn't seem fair at all. And to be VERY honest, I don't speak for everyone but I would've preferred nothing over this. At least with nothing, I could've had hoped that they were taking more time to prepare a remake. This feels rushed and somewhat last minute, as a lazy plan to fight off criticism. I'd VERY much prefer them taking risks than play it safe and although arguably this was a risk, it's just very underwhelming and disappointing imo. They had 15 years to think of something KNOWING this could've been a huge moneymaker and this was what they came up with. I get some people just appreciate it but that's your opinion, just as we are entitled to ours. I hate it when people try to subtly pull up the "I'm better because I'm at least appreciative" card. They're a company and they want money. If they want money, they're going to have to work for it. And as consumers, we have the right to not agree with their decisions. I couldn't put this any more direct. I'm not self-important I just feel that every side deserves a chance to speak whether it be those that like the remake announcements, or those who don't. Neither should be silenced and labeled as "easy" or "insatiable".

It feels like the game design of the remakes embodies nostalgia
I love the fact that after ignoring DP for 14 years they released 2 games on the sinnoh together lol
Technically they made a callback to it in the Crown Tundra, the regi temples are in the same layout as Platinum's regi temples.
Pokemon Legends chose Interesting choices for Starter Pokemon (some of them sorta make sense, in a way to relate to Gen 4 Sinnoh): Oshawott is a Gen 5 Pokemon to come right after Gen 4 Sinnoh, For Cyndaquil: Gen 4 did do the reboot for Gold & Silver with HeartGold & SoulSilver for Gen 2, but Rowlet might be a stretch since it's a Gen 7 pokemon (which is a huge Generation Gap); but Rowlet's evolution into a Ghost type might give it a type match-up/stalemate against the Normal type Legend god Arceus

I am thoroughly dissapointed with the art style of the remakes. My favourite gen and I wanted a OR/AS esque remake, but this is not it for me.

Pokemon Legends is literally Age of Calamity since they take place before the present timeline we know which I find very cool, definitely buying both

I think it's because people were expecting the remakes to be more in the style of like Gen 7 or Gen 8, like how previous remakes were more in the style of the most recent generation of the time. But the Arceus game looks like it could turn it pretty sick!
It's literally the same art as the old ds ones but in 3d style. So seems logical to me. And this is just the first trailer of more comming and they might add some cool new features and i wonder if they give us the poketch

I'm happy to hear the news about the two brand new games release in November Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, but I was expecting that the Game Freak company would continued the Pokemon Sword and Shiled Graphic designs onto the remake of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl🤔
