The idea of there being evolutions and regional forms that likely went extinct as time went on is fascinating to me. I also can’t get over how fluffy Hisuian Growlithe is. I imagine the arcanime evolution would resemble the komainu

Those new evolutions and form variants had quite the shift in tone. "These ones have adapted to the region's climate, while this one has absorbed the souls of those who perished on the journey." One of those was unlike the others!
I find it funny that Wyrdeer being able to evolve only because of how harsh the conditions on Hisui are basically implies that the only reason your Stantler doesn't evolve is because you're not training them hard enough.
So, are we just going to gloss over the fact that the Galaxy Expedition Team is basically the roots of Team Galactic? Icon is similar, name is similar, Cyllene from the Galaxy Expedition Team looks like a relative of Cyrus.
That is obvious look at where Cyllene works, the Galaxy Expedition Team. Obviously it becomes Team Galactic and Cyrus is obviously a relative of Cyllene.

BDSP is looking lack luster and not really worth it since i own Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum and the chibi graphics is not really enough to get me to buy those games, Legends on the other hand looks amazing.
Of course it's dangerous. Pokemon are wild animals with super powers. An adult human would probably- probably be able to traverse First Route grass safely most of the time (barring a freak Beedrill or Spearow swarm) but a child? That's asking to die.
I love how everyone was worried about performance but they clearly have shown that they are improving the framrates

What I love about Legends of Arcrus is that the concept is exactly like something I envisioned as a kid for a Pokémon game, something that sorta combined concepts from PMD as well as founding/establishing a new region in the past. It’s basically the game I’ve always wanted from the series, especially from the shinnoh region. It’s almost like they read my mind

The Hisui region is actually just Sinnoh, but they mentioned it’s name gets changed at some point in the future timeline-wise
It’s said Arceus created Sinnoh, so I think the ending of Legends creates Sinnoh :)

@@slevinchannel7589 I mean I’m sure one day we’ll get it. We can’t give every Pokémon that needs an evolution.. an evolution right away! The point of regional forms is that only a few get one and that’s the magic. Maybe Skitty will get one in Legends, maybe in Gen9 :)
I only hope that Pokémon legends, since having a massive map, won’t be too baron. That’s always the issue with big maps. Empty spaces. I’m looking forward to what they will add in the environments to make the world look more alive, instead of just dumping a bunch on Pokémon near tall grass and call it a day. But by the trailer it looks like it’s not going to dissapoint
I mean just a decent variety of pokemon around will be better than some of the worse offenders for this, and while i dont expect an elder scrolls world i hope it does do more
I mean I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing, real life nature doesn’t have too much going on itself, and the games whole thing is going out there and catching pokemon. I don’t really know what else they could put out there except materials for you to craft with. Same deal as botw.
This game is not open world, people are comparing it to BOTW and they are incorrect in that assumption, it's more like Monster Hunter, expedition instances, large map instances with a camp for you to do quests in then return to a town hub after. You can see in the gameplay demonstration when they travel to the "obsidian fields" area that it is instanced (hopefully this means the areas are not so empty). I have no doubt the maps will be big but it is by no means open world and Gamefreak or Nintendo have never once said that it is open world. It's a big assumption that a lot of soon to be disappointed fans are making.

Easily my favourite person to watch react to Pokémon need, because your reactions are so level-headed. It's not overwhelming excitement and refusal to see any negatives, and it's not unpleasant negativity unable to see anything good either. Your excitement is so similar to my own, and it feels so sincere.
I love the look of BDSP but there's no question that I'm more excited for Legends: Arceus. It looks so hype!

Am always looking forward to your reactions. And am excited for both games, can't wait to see how legends play. They still have some time to work on things before it's release.
Here are my thoughts on the remakes and legends arceus (it's going to a long comment since I have a lot to say about the games but I hope you enjoy it regardless). BDSP: I know that the pokemon community has had a problem with the remakes before the direct but I'm an optimistic person so I won't judge the games unless I play it or see more information and honestly I'm very excited for the remakes a bit more than legends arceus. I'm satisfied with things that I hoped for like using platinum dex and pokeball capsule returning and using features that I didn't think would be likely in the game such as following pokemon and clothing customization. So I'm satisfied with the remakes so far. Legends arceus: With all new features that are original (I haven't played breath of the wild so I don't really know about features from that game) coming to legends arceus are very promising. The new regional forms coming to the game are awesome since it's one of my favorite features since sun and moon and the new evolutions are looking cool in my opinion. The fact that pokemon can literally attack you from rage is honestly very terrifying but also cool at the same time. I really hope that legends arceus isn't rush because of release date and becomes a great installment for the franchise and maybe seeing more of this type of game play in the future games. If I have to rate this direct, I would give it an 8/10. I didn't care a lot about unite, cafe and pokemon master but it was cool at least. I'm very excited for both BDSP and legends arceus and hopefully these games would be great for a lot of people however we won't know for sure until the games are fully released. Edit: I forgot to mention one more thing and that is the pokemon contest. I'm liking the new contest set since it fits with the rhythm theme and its refreshing to get a new contest setup.
According to your review, you have only positive things to say about the PokePresent, so why the 8? I saw someone else give the Presents 8/10 too and giving an only-positive review and this confuses me, where are the -2?
@@Carlos_mayers I didn't care that much about Unite, Cafe Remix and Masters so I felt neutral to it. I'm not saying it's bad by any means but I just never cared about it than the BDSP and Legends arceus news we were given.

My older brother and I loved playing pokemon diamond and pearl. I can't speak for him but it was definitely. Y favorite gen due to the memories of us having fun and kicking ass haha. So to see this beautiful remake happening, I'm overly excited.
I like the detail that in Legends the Pokédex looks like it’s recorded on paper files, because there aren’t any computers yet.
I was like 14ish pokemon away from finish the pokedex on my old diamond game and I worked my ASS off for it through the GTS and stuff. Most of them were like, event mythicals and stuff which made it hard. Unfortunately, I never finished it because my younger brother took my DS to school and gave it away to make friends, which included my diamond game because of some of the relatively rare stuff on it. Parents didnt chase it up and basically said "he's a kid, it happens". That was like... 2008? I'm still mad, because it was just brushed off and I was told to get over it because "it's just a video game lol". These re-releases are very bittersweet for me personally.
I was in 6th/7th grade when D/P came out and played the hell outa them as a kid. 2nd gen and 4th gen were always my favorite.
At 20:49 the narrator says that it opens new doors for the Pokemon series. Could that possibly be a hint that they're already plans for future Pokemon Legends games. If Arceus is as good as it looks, I'm so ready for this new direction
My first ever Pokemon game was Platinum. I got it over 10 years ago on my birthday. The fact that BD SP is coming out a day before my birthday makes me feel like that excited kid picking Twiggy the Turtwig again!!!!

I’m curious to see what shiny hunting is going to look like in Legends Arceus. Is it going to be a thing and are we just going to see random shiny Pokémon roaming the open world? Super excited about that game.
I don't care for the Chibi style of the people on the D&P remakes, but everything else looks good. The Legend of Arceus looks very cool. I'm excited to see how that one will do.

So if Hop has Zamazenta, Gloria has Zacian and Leon has Eternatus, then that means if Victor appears in Pokemon Masters GX, he'll more than likely either have Calyrex, Urshifu or one of the Galar Starters, mainly Cinderace. But that's just my theory of course!

Like the ancestry of things Cyllene ancestor of Cyrus and the Galaxy team is Team Galactic, even the symbol fot the team like you see on Prof. Laventon lab coat is the same style text that team Galactic uses in Normal Diamond and Pearl, and around Cyllene wrists are the same symbols

I'm 22 gen 4 was my first real introduction into pokemon, and since diamond and pearl, Sword and Shield (gen 8) were the first pokemon games I didnt play bc one I was in college and two bc I was a college student I wasnt bothered to buy a nintendo switch. But best believe these remakes have saving up my money to get a switch lite just for this game.

That Growlithe really gives off vibes of the mythological beast Komainu, and I really really REAAAAAALLY wanna see what the Arcanine looks like, stoked to find out when the game comes out.
I'm excited for the new pokemon. I hope we get to see more and the connection to pokemon home will bring more vailability to underused pokemon. So stoked!

From what I can tell it’s seems like if you throw down a poke ball outside of catching a Pokémon or battling they pop out and walk with you and that one shot showed the whole party I can’t wait to be able to roll up with a squad of Pokémon

Legends Arceus is what I've been waiting for. I have kind of fallen off Ookemin since Sword and Shield I didn't even beat it, so yeah Diamond and Pearl were doing nothing for me. But Legends Arceus looks insane!

Why would they give it a fire rock typing then immediately take away the rock typing when it evolves....that makes no sense.
@@Jmcelwain17 I don't think they will give it a dragon typing either, but they also made Rowlet a grass/flying type only to immediately turn it into a grass/ghost type.

BDSP look amazing and I like the how interactive its become now with pokemon following u, customizing the pokeballs and the contest. But I just wish they added more pokemon. It looks like the same, limited pokedex and it sucks since they have added SO many new pokemon in the last decade. Idk, thats just my opinion but it looks like a great game for those who never played gen 4 at all
We saw Houndoom. So my guess is that the wild Pokémon will be the same as Diamond and Pearl, but the you can get other Pokémon from the Hideaways

Honestly I’m excited for both! Pearl was my first game that I beat and Diamond is the game where I did my first nuzlocke! Then this new game seems so much fun as well!! I’m gonna be getting both honestly 😊
