  • Saki is a legend in kickboxing, he always fought dudes 20 kg heavier than him. One of the most technical heavyweight* kickboxers back in the day. He joined UFC too late sadly

  • He made the transition into UFC / mma way too late, he was already on a steep decline in kickboxing before doing so. The wheels had fallen off long before the ufc run, but still big respects.

    @MoKone5@MoKone52 жыл бұрын
    • There was no steep decline. He had just beaten Tyrone Soong for the light heavyweight championship before coming to the UFC. Prior to that he had only lost to the greatest heavyweight kickboxers of the time all legends (Rico, Schilt, Aerts, and Hari) but Saki was a light heavyweight champion fighting heavyweights and was too short for heavyweight. What you said first was correct that he joined MMA too late.

  • gkickboxers have better leverage than mma fighters having the premier kickboxing league giving one off fight contracts, all though i believe the ufc may of signed brock too one fight. im not sure. but the comparison on infrastructure for the fighters the ufc have produced is unmatched in fight sports. boxing have some support from national sport academies but the ufc have created the stability for potential atheletes to consider... but is that the cost of a corporation keeping the lions share of the profits off the backs of fighters, i kinda lean yes.. but i think if the ufc just maybe create a culture of signing fighters to one off fight contracts or maybe abit of loosening of the collar to let their fighters box etc.. rather than try protect the product, i believe they would have next to no stress from fighters as they can take it or leave it.. but if a fighter wants to sign a multi fight deal go for it but, having that as an option i believe makes most arguments from fighters void

    • He never quits. His body can't take the wrestling and BJJ sessions anymore. He transitioned too late. Wrestling is huge in Turkey, it's strange that there aren't any Turkish UFC fighters. The amount of talent from Dagestan on the other hand is abnormal.
