It's kind of funny that we thought this was going to be the beginning of the Josh Norman V Odell Beckham feud, but in reality it was also the end. Norman went to the WFT and had uneventful matchups with Odell.
@Anthony Mcken I don’t believe Odell has lost a step I just don’t think Baker Mayfield is good enough to get him the football on a consistent basis.

Should have been ejected, then suspended for a year. If he had hit Norman flush on that cheap shot, he would have killed him.
They literally made a rule because of this game. That’s why if you get 2 unsportsmanlike penalties now you get ejected. Back then- as Mike perreira said around the 20 min mark- there were no amount of penalties that amounted in an ejection

To this day, I have no idea how Beckham wasn't thrown out of this game, especially after diving into Norman's head.
This game was also the big sign that Tom Coughlin lost the discipline of his team, and the team outright. Coughlin was fired less than a month after the NYG 2015 Season. It's the last season he ever coached an NFL Team.
That Joe Buck call on Beckham’s TD gives me chills. Add in the crowd nose and Beckham’s celebration and man what a moment! Take me back to 2015!

As a Giants fan i would take a game like this any day over the crap I'm watching today. Showed fight came back to tie vs one of the best teams in the league. This year's Giants would have just laid down and got blown out.

All my favorite players growing up.
Football is tough, we all know that. But the fact Odell was not tossed from this game, especially after that straight up missile to Norman’s head is crazy to me. It’s clear this was the game that started Norman’s downfall. OBJ clearly had many problems mentally because the way he acted during his time with the giants was insane. Moss and Chad Johnson were trolls and masters of being divas, OBJ took it to the extreme and look where he’s at now, really sad honestly.
Why do you say this started Norman’s downfall? He definitely never had a season anywhere close to as productive as 2015 with the panthers but just curious why you thought this started his downfall Vs the rest of the games this season
@@robertstafford23 damn I completely forgot I left this comment haha. I said this was his downfall because he went from being super productive to allowing odell to get inside his head. For me, I believe Norman allowed himself to be humiliated by Odell and then paint himself as a hot headed dude who couldn’t control his anger. He was traded right after this season ended and put up pretty dismal numbers for the next few years, minus solo tackles, return yards, and a few picks. He played less and less games, was traded around quite a few times and basically stopped performing. After his 2015 season, he no longer was a pro bowler, nor an all pro nominated player. If this isn’t the start of the downfall, then his stint after getting franchise tagged in 2015 was, where he wanted an insane amount of money and staged a huge drama show over refusing to play because of it.
It was a different time in football, they let this shit slide back in 2015, honestly the game started changing around the late 2010s, now they never let shit like this slide and refs are overly involved and call penalties for everything. Different Era of the NFL. Alot changes in 5 or 10 years in this sport. O'Dell would've been ejected after that hit to the head if he did this now for sure.
@@aaronkamakaze2967 that’s also true! Refs now tend to be very involved in plays when sometimes it’s not needed. Many QB sacks or hits have been really iffy these last 2 seasons, especially this one. I think honestly some hits may be good to not be allowed anymore, but you’re right, Odell would’ve been tossed this time around. Football is a mentally tough sport, but both of them needed to keep it together.

This was an all time game for me. It had 1 amazing team and a really good one. Prime Odell and cam and Norman. The drama! Every minute you felt like something was gonna pop off . In terms of a brawl or just a crazy play.

Now no one from the 2015 roster is still on the Giants, and the only player from the 2016 roster who is still on the Giants is Sterling Shepard who was a rookie that year. Crazy how time flies.

the refs were paid and it’s his home stadium. they talk about specific matchups all the time and they know the crowd wants a show, they could’ve been tossed Odell, but Odell and Josh knew ahead of time that they wouldn’t get tossed, that was more incentive for Odell to ignore routes and go straight wwe

One of my favorite games in nfl history
I was a Beckham fan at the time, and I get letting them play, but he should've been tossed after the third instigation. Not ejecting him after the blatant headhunt was inexcusable, and Norman was largely defending himself until Beckham turned himself into a fucking head-seeking human missile. Beckham should've been suspended multiple games for those antics, you cannot pick fights like a toddler all game and you CAN NOT launch yourself into another man's head. Truly a disgusting act, and disgusting game, by Beckham. If Beckham gets tossed at any reasonable point, Norman walks away with another definitive throttling and no more than 2 fouls. I don't blame Norman for anything after the headshot, but Rivera probably should've sat him after he took a rocket to the helmet. He had every right to be pissed off and frankly did rather well to not beat the shit out of Beckham after that. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
