Woodturning a truly one of kind hollow form using horse chestnut burl and deep pour epoxy resin with the infusion of purple metallic mica powder. First the burl was turned into a round blank the mould can ben formed around it in preparation for casting into resin. Once the casting was ready, the process of woodturning and shaping could begin. Used a set of carbide tools to carefully remove materials, once the desired shape was reached the lengthy process of sanding could begin. It was polished and buffed at the end to achieve high gloss premium look.

Very beautiful.😯😯👏👏👏
Man you could sure use a couple 3.5 and 5 gallon buckets to do your reise pours you can use a weight like a dumbbell to keep it from floating I'm not knocking your method just making suggestions to help you out Nothing wrong with the total out come it was an impressive Hollow form for sure 😁
Wow!
Excellent work. What was the finish, resin?
What is that black product you wrapped around the burl to hold the resin?
where do you find such beautiful burl? Fantastic results
Where do you get the coin tag for the bottom from, David?
🔥❤️🔥🔥
Is it suitable to make salted cheese inside it
♥️♥️♥️
Big sharp roughing gouge would save you hours. I’ve only seen people use the gauge you’re using for the insides of turning vases
That's because he was using a BOWL gauge
I tell you that, shaping resin with any gouges ain’t fun. Probably not hours but spending a little more time using my carbides is a lot more enjoyable
The purple is cool but I think I would have gone with a lighter color, something more transparent.
Thank you 🙂
i cant deal with the no talking
Beautiful
