  • I accidentally dropped my A52s 5g phone on a bucket of water. I'm so glad it is still working and the system will just tell you that the usb port is wet or something in it so don't use it until the warning is gone. You can just use a fan or a blower to dry it quickly or just let it dry on its own for several hours.

    • but be careful I washed it too many times before then one time a white line popped out and then came too much lines and I couldn't use the phone touch correct till I got it fixed for about 70-80 dollars

  • Even though it's ip67 doesn't mean you can soak it in river or in sea,the salt content in the water will weaken the rubber sealing.ip67 dust and water proofing is best at if you got caught in a drizzling rain or an accidental splash on the screen.

    • I bought it and I can say it's an amazing phone for it's price. Its a mid range phone for sure but the screen refresh rate and super amoled screen make the experience feel premium.

  • I'm not familiar with torture tests so I'm not sure if the water resistant feature of the A52S would lead to the conclusion that it's certainly going to be dust and sand resistant as well as I've yet to see a youtube reviewer subject a smartphone to an extreme dust and especially sand blower test since people will tend to take pictures at beaches. It's because most would not intentionally put or drop their smartphones to any liquid sources. But sand, when the wind blows, could penetrate through the small holes of any smartphone when exposed openly.

    • @@mochigb621 I understand what you mean. However, wind is quite unpredictable and one could never know if sudden gusts can be sufficient enough to take sand with them which may penetrate any gadget you bring along with you. Hence, it could happen when you least expect it.

    • @@nathanielngosy the IP in the IP67 number stands for Ingress Protection. The first digit stands for dust protection and the second water resitance, 6 is the highest rating on the dust restistance and since it is illegal to not do tests and use the code, i think you can be quite safe going to the beach with this phone.

  • What about the sound? Usually water resistant phones have a bad sound due du insulation and a phone conversation is difficult.

  • I accidently get salt water and my a52s was in my pocket. So i washed it with fresh water as soon as possible. Microphone maybe not working very well. But after cleaning it and dry it for minutes it worked normally. Same thing happen to speaker too. But its all normal so far. Hopefully nothing bad happen 😅

  • I already test everything. The back battery cover only use double sided tape glue like 3M brand. No special seal. If you keep wash it the double sided tape will disfunction.

  • There's a big difference between water proof and water resistant..( water resistant) if you drop it in a swimming pool for example for 1 minutes it can still function normal & if you drop it in a swimming pool for 30 minutes it won't stand a chance it will die this means it is not ( water proof)

    • It is water resistant, but it will still resist 30 minutes in water. That's literally what the 7 in IP67 stands for.
