Dry Ice Cleaning & Detailing Denzel Washington’s 993 Porsche 911 Turbo
This beautiful Porsche 911 Turbo was purchased brand new in 1997 by none other than Denzel Washington. He’s the only owner of this black on black 993TT that we had the pleasure of detailing. We dry ice cleaned the car, choosing to keep some of the factory cosmoline / protection wax because it had a nice, untouched layer. We replaced the stone guard paint protection film, washed and did paint correction, gave the wheels a deep cleaning, polished the lights / turn signals, and finished with a deep interior detailing.
Detail Division (great products and amazing customer services) hooked us up with The Detail Freaks who sent us a bunch of KOCH CHEMIE products we used on this 911. Hit them up if youre in the US and looking to get your hands on these products. Check them out here: www.thedetailfreaks.com/
Mini buffer Flex and much more from Detail Division detail-division.com/collectio...
Also special thanks to Factory Wheel Republic in Huntington Beach for getting us a great deal on the set of Michelin Pilot Sport 2’s that are sitting on the car now. Check them out here: www.factorywheelrepublic.net
And shout out to Giraffe Tools for our great new pressure washer, the Grandfalls, which helps us get the cars ready for a great detailing.
This car is now for sale on BAT if you’re interested in learning more of the story behind this wonderful car.

Denzel has great taste. The whaletail, air-cooled engine. Keeping it original. All time dream car for me.
When i lived in NC in 2013 i saw a silver 959 drive by. I wanted to turn around and follow it but then i would be a stalker so i said no. The next year I saw a really low orange car come towards me. It was a Muira!!!!! Not sure if it was the same guy but those 2 cars are so dreamy!!!! Too bad Muiras catch on fire.
Its the independent suspension that makes these so desirable. Porsche took themselves off pace and dramatically changed the car in the 996. These are the last mechanical oddity of their greatness.
Agreed. Either that, the or the (marginally rarer) 964 Turbo; both would be competing candidates for a single slot in the 3 max dream garage ($1m max budget). If money was upped the 993 or 964 Turbo S's would be considered in an extended garage...
Mine too! 993 rocks!
Plus, looking at the underside and suspension and stuff, he actually drives/drove it. Love it.
Now THIS is what I call a proper detailing. You guys literally did everything you could possibly do to bring the car back to brand new form. Amazing job! Wow that dry ice really is amazing.
I'd say it's a better preserved car now then when it left the factory
There's a metric fuck ton of skill involved in a detail like this.
How much does dry ice undercarriage cleaning typically cost?
@@Soskouy too much for the average job. This job probably ran at LEAST $3k, just for the dry ice part of the detail. I’d be willing to bet, this total detail was pushing $10k all in.
@@gregkrueger331 lol! I'd do a detail like this for $4,000.00 U.S.

Your attention to detail is simply out of this world. Excellent work on this car, especially the dry ice cleaning part. You just made “Robert McCall” very proud of his Porsche.

The most expensive and long detailing that ever existed 😂. Shout out to the company amazing work and Mr Denzel for the immaculate vehicle.
yeah...I have to wonder what such an in-depth detail job like that must cost...but I guess if you have to ask maybe you can't afford it.. ( : P
i guess around 50k,measuring the amount of value it adds to the car

@@mnoell35 could be worse, I can't afford to have my Hyundai done 🤣
Have seen it used before, but never realized it was so versatile. Awesome for cleaning gunked up plastics by the looks of it!
@@Schroefdoppie Yeah, that's crazy ! It looks very expensive process. I am still a bit unclear on how this system works.. I wonder if it utilizes a dry ice media, such as pellets or grains and it's essentially like bead blasting. Or is there something more complicated or high tech, like maybe they use liquid CO2 and it is sprayed onto the substrate and it is just sublimating into dry ice as it rapidly is depressurized from it's highly pressurized liquid state and it's sudden expansion with atmospheric pressure levels. The sublimation changing the CO2 into sudden stream of dry ice? It must use alot of CO2 if that's how it works. I can imagine that it also must displace a lot of oxygen and could be very hazardous, not to mention the "carbon footprint". Surprised that in a place like Costa Mesa , that they don't get a visit from the AQMD,,, Doh! I also imagine that if it is utilizing liquid CO2, that it probably is a pain in the ass to keep the fluid flowing and not having the tip of that gun and the hose from freezing up and clogging. The expansion of the liquid would suck condensation from the air and this humid atmospheric air would freeze up the sprayer in short order. I would also use a microbore line to minimize the volume of the supply line and avoid expansion from taking place in the feed. I would be very interested in seeing the hardware in person. Anyone for sub critical fluid extraction?
@@southboundsuarez9832 bruh...1 out of 100k might be able to make it past the first 5 sentences 🤣 I don't think it'd be a media though, just high pressure vapor that isn't toxic.

The 993 variant is the last of the great air cooled 911 turbos, Denzel has great taste in cars. The spec and colour is exactly what I would have gone for back in the early 90s if I had money, my man! 😂 🏆
Arena red for me.
@@benjaminperez7328 Red is perhaps my favourite colour, but it’s too much an Italian exotica colour to slap onto a Porsche in my view. Either jet black, alpine white, silver or deep purple (my salute to the famous Martini ‘hippy’ 917 that was runner up to their famous inaugural winner at Le Mans in 1970. To each their own 😊

This type of detail is for clients, not consumers.
Well do y’all really have to reply like THAT! Just answer if you know, if you don’t then just stfu cuz you don’t know either! We all know it’ll be thousands but now how many!!
My guess is about $150/hour. Looks to be about 4 full days of work. Maybe more. They could be charging way more too since the clients are wealthy and money is usually not an object.
If I had to GUESS I'd guess $10,000.

I wish at the end of these videos they would post how many people worked on the car and total man hours.
Great idea!
@@IAMDetailing Im a novice detailer of 35 years and when I watch yours and other detailing videos I'm always thinking how many people are working on these cars. Particularly if there client cars. Like this detail, if you did that yourself for 8 hours a day it would take weeks and that's if your body didn't break down. I can only work on my own cars and motorcycles in piece work.
