I’ve listened to hundreds of thousands of hours of various genres of music and this stuff still hits me the closet to home. Growing up in the 2000’s this style was still around but in small forms and having the chance to hear some of this now that I’m 28 years old is a treat to my ears . Thanks for uploading these I can’t wait to drown out my life
Totally hear you my dude
I don't want to be a party pooper, just wanted to point out a fun fact that you're roughly only 250k hours old. So listening to hundreds of thousands of hours is basically impossible xD Unless you lied your age and are acutally a vampire, who knows 🤷 Jokes and facts aside, even tho I ain't a fan of rap music, but the 90's stuff is just too good not to like it. It's real, guys don't boast about having bitches, money and cars. No neon braided kids shouting skrrrt every two seconds. Real problems, real life. Got to respect that. I also blame(thank) GTA San Andreas with the bomb radio tracks, and I bet you can relate since we're roughly the same age.
@@SuperPentti he listens on 2x speed
@@Shnowz he lives on 0.5x speed
please don't drown out your life (unless that's a good thing I don't know about)
I get sad that underground hip hop is so underground that 95% of the world’s population will never even hear it. It’s so good it needs to be heard. 1990-2010 really was amazing to be a young kid loving REAL hip hop.
Have a love hate that it’s underground. I specifically will rep underground shit, because it’s where I’ve found the truest shit. I think Makin a name for yourself in the underground is much more of an accomplishment than Makin it onto the radio. Only thing, i feel it’s lost it’s feel due to social media you know? Like it doesn’t feel as personal as it used to.
if everyone heard it then it wouldn't be underground. i think the fact its rare makes it even more special. it's like a special club where only the elite minds come together
Well whats not real hiphop? Lmao
@@bigjuice2623 hip hop music that represents what the culture is about. Very little of modern hip hop does that (and the ones that do are typically underground and hidden) and the other half is trap music.

This is so smooth I love the way people could ride the beat so comfortably and actually have something to say in every verse not just filler ya know
Just had the vocal riding the beat in the very first song and it makes a good jingle to push the rhythm beyond the sonic space it comes from.
Exactly. Tired of mainstream rap just flexing. No bars.
One of the best playlist I ever listened on KZhead
Citizen Kane - Blackrain should always be number 1 - absolute gold.
Don't stop man, don't stop uploading. Listening to these gems make me feel like a kid again, listening to these bars in cassette player walking randomly in and out of shopping malls. There was just the moment to sink in.
*_randomly got recommended, but glad it did!_*
I've never heard any of these and they are somehow nostalgic
Agreed, I personally feel they still hold up well today xD
8:30 This song in its embodies every single thing that spoke to me when I was just starting on my Hip Hop journey. The drum tones, the instrumentals floating and heaving, the tambre of the vocal, the lyrics and delivery style. Sound so good it almost brings me to tears. True high art, my god its so good.

If any of y'all have old headphones you don't wear anymore, I beg you, dig them out for this. It's worth the effort. Words can't express how much of a blast I had listening to this. Thank you so, so much for pulling this together.
