Prior to marrying Harry she constantly said glowing loving things about her Dad, who raised her alone after the parents divorced. He has had 2 heart attacks & at 75 can’t re-earn all the money he spent & invested in her career. She is a multimillionaire & could at least pay him back the money he invested in helping her.

This man is very angry, but he is also very hurt and very sad. At 75 and with poor health, he may not be around much longer. I truly hope that all parties can come together to make everything right before their is no longer a chance to do so.
We must be honest Jane. He IS angry and sad. He’s been angry and sad for a long while. This behavior did not just emerge in the wake of Meghan’s relationship with Harry. Look at the reactions of his other children. They act as though they’re owed and, if not paid, will continue to embarrass. That’s emotional extortion and should not be rewarded. Unfortunately, when I saw her dad’s 60 minute Australia interview yesterday, I thought sadly that the rabbit hole had swallowed him whole. He referred a couple of times to her prior wedding. That’s just outright hostile and uncalled for. I fear he will die and they will be in this place. She will have to take sustenance from his care and concern and what she tried to do for him prior to the breach.

@D S: As I said above, my own sister who was in her 30s five years ago had a heart attack, and to this day is on strict diet and blood thinner to prevent blood clotting in her arteries so no stroke occurs because once a heart attack has happened, a stroke can easily occur in the future; and she was not obese, and we have never had heart conditions in our family history. Yes, I know that in the past Thomas has had to address his heart condition, so he has a worn out heart that needs to be nursed. I feel for the guy to a great extent, but he just does not seem to wake up to the responsibilities he has as a father in law to someone married into the Royal Family. If he demonstrated self control, he might have left some doors open for his daughter and son in law to approach him with, but his actions so far, make only for delays in contact with them. I think it is good not to talk to people in a missatuned way or try to cast suspicions on them by beating false witness. I think it is good for people to speak up and defend their reputations and shared core values.
