    • I dont think it was unknown. I think it was more like folk lore . Some people said this happens and nobody was sure if it actually did ? The interesting thing to me is this seems a little like a gang fight . For the first time there are 2 sharks and at least 2 orca ! And one would think the sharks would be in a blind panic and be running for there life . But this seams as though they a are in a swimming match . Is there any info on how it turned out ? These are not giant sharks that I can tell ? Peace be safe !

Even sharks know better not to mess with them. Surprisingly enough, orcas know better to not attack us. • @@dmd9080 Well, There are so many orca types in The ocean, the Bigger ones(Type A and the Antarctic type) who can grow to 9 metres are found in Polar waters hunting Seals and Whale calf. The Orcas found in Californian waters and tropics (Offshore orcas) on average had the lengths around 4-6 metres. They usually picks Great white that are around 3 meters in length. The 4 metre Orcas in farallon island preyed great whites that are around 3 meters. They are smart creatures, i don't think they would take risk on killing creatures that are as big or bigger than them. So the Orca that deep blue likely met was as big or slightly smaller than her.

    • @@dmd9080 ah you mean Biggs killer whale or the mammal eater. Hmm, as far as i know they preferred seal, sea lions and sometimes dolphin. They lived in Vancouver and Alaska. Idk if they visited Guadalupe Island where Deep Blue are dwelling. The orca's we used to see on tropical place are usually Offshore Orcas, and these orcas are known to specialize their diets on Sharks which was shown that their tooth are worn down and due to their lack of collagen, sometimes Orca who specializes on Shark diet lost their dorsal fin structural capability making them unerect. Yes transient orcas are capable of killing deep blue, but their encounters with her are unlikely. The likely orca who could stumble deep blue is the Offshore orcas. • Even when Orcas can beat the Sharks, don’t forget this very important detail. Orcas are mammals and they need breathe often. That mean Orcas have only dominance on the surface to medium deep ocean level. Sharks go hunt deeper and longer. So that is more prey for sharks.

    • @@orlandoletaviouse4638Do what?🤔.who's even? The heck you talking about?? Anyway watch the whale that ate Jaws documentary..a single Orca takes out a white shark bigger than itself by putting it into toxic immobility. Sharks run from Orca no matter how big they are. It doesn't take a pod. GWs and pretty much most sharks don't hardly get as big as even female Orcas so sharks are almost always going to be smaller

      @troyhaskins6107@troyhaskins61072 жыл бұрын
    • @@troyhaskins6107 the average weight for a female orca is 4,000-6,400 lbs while the average is 6,600-9,100 for males. The largest orca was around 12,000 lbs and 28 feet. But then if if recall correctly the average white shark would be from 3,000-5,500 lbs (female). Yet the biggest great white shark was 7,900 lbs and 24.8 feet. I'd think the average orca (especially small females) wouldn't attack a shark that large just becuase unless they were in a group. And if you know, orcas hardly split up, especially when going against a potential threat unlike dolphins and stingrays.
