Grinding the flywheel on the fly, I can't lie, that was pretty fly... Literally grinding gears on Streetweek.😆👍
This has been so much fun to follow. Thank you for letting us see your project come to life!
Wohoo, the evenings entertainment has arrived ^^
what a legend carrying those parts around and keeping those folks on the strip!
Well, I'm buying a t-shirt! Huge respect for grinding that flywheel!
The car is behaving impeccably, especially considering that you had virtually zero shake-down time before heading off to the event. The engine mounts that you were worried about are obviously holding up, and the block weld is clearly up to the task, great build!
Love the dog in the back!
"a bit Damaged-er" gotta love that Swenglish.. LOL
Great once again. Such variety. Wheelie FTW. Never an easy week, made harder by filming. 👌👌👍👍
Just out doin wheelies with my 245er, nothing out of the ordinary.
Thanks for spoiling us with so much Volvoghini content. Hats off Peter!
amazing... the dedication, tenacity, stamina, inventivity (including skilful use of the grinder to balance the flywheel by sight...) racing in it's purest form.
Well done Peter, this has been an awesome long term ride. Looking forward to more adventures with the Volvoghini.
Wow, it's amazing to see an Aussie barra in Sweden. Respect 🇦🇺
Wow. That burnout in the volvoghini gives the tinglies. Such a cool project.
Ah, just what I needed. So pleased to see you running and happy!
And a great wheelie!
So cool to see your journey, but also to see the Europe way of building drag cars, feels closer to home :)
Peter: Don't look in here: *points camera in there* Me: Sips 'unsee juice': Okay!
Love the team-effort to repair the car at all cost, keep us updated Peter!
Best automotive channel on KZhead right now
good to see the Aussie ford Barra engine there and in a classic BMW. loving you content mate
I'm so stoked this Volvo is running!
Im so excited for more content
Looking forward to another great ‘Ghini’ adventure ! 🎉
I laughed at your bit about serving the starter motor for supper. Great work from you and your guys to keep it in the event! Good luck!
Bra jobbat!! Det är kul att följa er och se riktigt lösningsorienterad grabbar 💪👍
Amazing series so far!
Fascinating, great work with the flywheel guys. 😎
Brilliant work. Hope you can keep going!
Incredible series, the footage of your car and the others, and the maintenance/repairs. Look forward to the next one
love this build, here since the beginning and even much before!
What an adventure! Great to see the competition and the community spirit, inspirational. Hard work, but rewarding when it works. You look like you're enjoying yourself now, solving problems and getting better every day. Thanks Peter, good luck at the next track.
Absolute fantastic atmosphere
Pretty dang nice starter/flywheel repair 👍
What an excellent road/racetripp 👍🏻
This is the best streetweek in the World, the work you have done to carry on going is superb, those Guys you have there helping are worth their weight in gold, proper friends, well done all, this coverage is fantastic 10/10, UK
So cool to see all cars going down a good track when they wrinkles tires... Keep up the good work Peter.
That BMW Compact is a monster.
Im loving following this series. I serioously never thought this volvo would be popping the front wheels off the ground. Good stuff!

I am cheering all the way from Canada!! Love the build, love your great attitude, you all have massive SISU
And also it would be very relaxing to watch you doing the wiring work.
The dogo’s head tilt is absolutely priceless
Aboslutely love the videos! Thank you very much!
you guys thrash to 'get it done' like the best of them.... LOVED the grinder to the ring gear technique.... that was some GREAT work.
Thank you for the BMW content, Peter! Wish you the best this week, esspecially with the flywheel. 👍
We love you man keep it going...🙌
Great content as always.
Impressive work!! :)
thumbs up from Finland!
Stor respekt att testa ut nya saker under tävling ;)
Fantastiskt trevligt att få följa denna resa :)
Buzzin off these videos every night lol 🤟
The car has performed great
Love this lot❤
good stuff!
Glad you stopped at the barra powered car you don’t often see them out of Australia
I remember the carnage from last year, u guys are crazyy 😮❤❤ good luck this weekend.
Awesome You are shifting too early but you are getting better and better
Good stuff
good luck and the best from holland
Nice!
fair play, you guys are working hard.
I have my T shirt, it arrived this week . Good luck! :)
Kämpa kämpa 💪🏻
Gillar hur du säger "titta inte här!" och så filmar du jättemycket där. :D Lycka till med fortsättningen av veckan!!!!
Heeehuuuheeääuu
Doing ok on a new build debugging. I think you need some more rpm in the 2 step on launch and ideally a slipper clutch.
Love this. It’s been a while since footy
Kul att följa! kämpa på!
This flywheel can be turned to put proper OE hardened steel ring gear on it
Just turn the flywheel down and fit new starter ring with heat shrink fitting. No need to make completely new wheel. Awesome build, I really like it as it’s different. Greets from Finland.
*puts camera on rats nest of wiring* - "Dont look at this wiring please" hahaha Been following for years. So glad you got it doing. Do you prefer this build over the old 2j set up?
Polarbrød og rekeost, breakfast of (Swedish) champions
ty for a nice video
That #14 BMW has an Aussie Barra in it..!!!
Talking of transportation, the televerket car is from the northern part of sweden. Im not sure where the owner lives but im used to seeing that one on Pite dragway at least.
Don't look at the wiring please. 😂😂😂😂 You have an amazing team with you Peter.
Mega
Are the any races in early August? I'm in Sweden then and I'd love to see the Volvoghini in action!
Hey Peter! Awesome build and videos as always! Hopefully you will see my comment, instead of buying a new flywheel, maybe you can machine it down and put a hardened oem ring gear on the outside. By the looks of it, it probably failed because the ring gear teeth is not hardened and the starter motor gear is. Cheers from Brazil!
Haha härligt jobbat! 😁👌 är de inte växellådsbyte på en R8 så är det svänghjulsfix på en 245! Nåväl snyggt jobbat och kämpa på! Härliga o lagom långa filmer från era dagar 😊👌
The BMW 2002 has an Australian made Ford "barra" in line 6 in it. These motors were designed in Australia and only used in locally made Fords. Sadly no longer made Can easily produce over 1000hp with very minor mods and of course a turbo.
My Cousin and her Neighbours live in Malmö (i think) Theyre from Germany originally though.
Part 3 🤙🤙
Very cool! I wish I could experience something like this one day. I'm curious how all these cars can drive on the street in Sweden? Do you have some kind of exception or custom approval of the build...?
So cool with the Volvoghini and the big varyity of cars, but where is @1320video crew 😜
@8:59 Really wanted to see that 960 race😎
Hello Peter. About the flywheel. It’s possible to mill of the starter pattern and put on a new ring with new teeth. Just an idea. Good luck with all. And I love to se your channel 😄👍😄👍👍🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰
I also have a twin turbo opel, would rather have that kadett than my insignia tho😅😅
When I did my custom flywheel i shrink fitted an OEM rimg gear to the outside on a shoulder. The metallurgy is better suited to gear engagement than your relatively soft but very strong chromoly.
This flywheel is still in perfect shape to turn it down and put OE ring on it :>
I'm happy to have a manual 245 wagon under my house, dreams.
👍
That sucks you had to work all night. Got my tshirt in today, it's good quality.
Are you thinking of turbocharging the Volvoghini?
Commitment 💪
