The tyre wrinkle and hopping before it hooks up hard is sooooooo satisfying to watch, and the Volvo at 18:12 spinning the tyres and watching the rubber oscillate rapidly even in slo-mo was very interesting to see.

Check your logs, you'll find the engine pulls down when you drop the clutch, adjust the clutch switch correctly so it doesn't bog down when you release.

thanks for the video, very cool moments from the track and details about the cars! How is the brake system modified on the Volvoghini to do the tyre warm-up while standing still?
It is called having a "line lock" on your brake system. You disable the rear brakes with a switch so you can brake and gas at the same time allowing the rear wheels to spin.
Look at 13:10, he mentions a line lock. Google it and you'll get more info

@@TheMizqo Its pretty much the same in Sweden. Just because there are rules doesnt mean you cant do it anyway ^^

You can drive anything that is running, that doesn't mean it's legal though. As you can tell by the video, many use the back roads where there's less to none officers around.

Great to see the UK Volvo guys made the trip to Sweden for StreetWeek. At 20:15 was that a wifi router on the dashboard or something custom?

@@Franksey180 The router is probably just part of Peters setup to edit/upload these videos on the fly. Not only are they racing, breaking stuff, wrenching and fixing what's broke, filming and dragging that caravan and all their stuff between raceways, but also editing and uploading the videos. The quality of the videos are impeccable, even under such circumstances.
Different to see Volvos drag racing. I wouldn't have thought of a Volvo being in a drag race.

Is it a requirement that you drive your extremely not-street-legal race car to the various tracks? Here in the US everyone would be putting their cars on trailers hauled behind their gigantic pickup trucks.
Streek Week was born as a Swedish version of the various US events like Drag Week and Sick Week, where you drive your extremely not-street-legal race car between various tracks. So no, you don't haul in US, in that kind of events.
