  • Fofana between 2012 and 2015 was an absolute nightmare of a player. Just so evasive and also strong through the contact. He’d be in and around an underrated players of the 2010’s for sure!

  • One of the biggest what if is imagining an experienced Fofana play in the current french outfit with Dupont, N'Tamack and the likes. Would have been unstoppable

    • They win the World Cup, simple as that. It’s a partnership of Fofana and Fickou.

    • @@williamjfrancefilm Ahhh man It would be amazing, I remember when vakatawa was breaking through and being gassed to see him and Wesley. That would've been incredible

  • It speaks volumes to his talent that France haven’t produced another centre like him since. Loved watching him play, shame his injuries got on top of him a bit. One of my all time favourite players to watch, everything looks so effortless

  • What a player. Too many injuries... A big "What If" in French rugby history

  • The way he casually gets past DC at about 4:53 - he had Larkham-like ghosting through defences, and a centre of gravity that made his fends deceptively powerful. As Squidge once wrote via a French philosopher, if Fofana is in the opposing team, does your defence actually exist?

  • Thank you sir for this marvellous compilation of one of my favourite players. What a player. Strength, power, acceleration, spatial awareness. Also, I really like his commitment to diving in for tries, actually propels himself forward - not only does it look awesome, sometimes it helps him evade the final tackle.

  • 6:09 I remember that try against Toulouse, it was at the 30th second of the game. At that time, I had seen this game Clermont-Toulouse as a big clash (both were in the top 3 teams of the top 14), I wondered what it would give, and then you just had Fofana who erased almost all the worryings at the 1st minute. Wonderful try and big moment !

  • I remember always getting nervous seeing Thierry Dusautois (ignore my spelling) and fofana in the lineup previews as a boy, you just knew they were going to add something to the game and make very little mistakes. That same feeling you get with the Conrad and ben smiths of the world, if they were your teammates you just know you can have full confidence they're doing the right thing at the right time

  • When I first heard there was a Wesley Fofana at Leicester football club, I genuinely wondered if it was this dude - he’s that talented I reckon he’d be bloody good at football too.
