We are back inside the backrooms and this time one of the better Backrooms games has bene updated! Fancy's Escape the Backrooms was a neat, little co-op game that lacked a bit in the gameplay department. But now the game has finally been updated and so much more awesome elements have been added. It now can really be considered as one of the best Backrooms games out there as it combines interesting levels and atmosphere with varied and fun gameplay.
There are proper puzzles and adventure elements that have been added and various enemy entities that you need to outsmart in various ways. It is a lot of fun to play together with friends and really stimulates teamwork. Apparently there will still be a third free update in the future and we cannot wait to find ourselves in between those familiar, yellow walls once more.

  • It's just occurred to me that the reason why you keep progress but not items after death could be a mechanic to avoid frustration over redoing the same level over and over due to unavoidable deaths, but also might be explained in-story as the group of researchers presumably recording the footage and providing the hazmat suits repeatedly sending in more guys to venture through the Backrooms after each death, starting where the last unfortunate group (that we get to see as the players controlling them) left off.

  • I really liked this playthrough. You have to show the consequences for failure, especially on a no commentary playthrough. Which is the only way to watch horror games played. I wish someone would do a no commentary showcase of all the scary games going around right now. But doing the run so people can see the content, the monsters, the price of failure, the secrets, ect.

  • They made an update! Some probably already noticed.. You can now swim the cano and dive into the ocean afterwards and you need to find a cave and then I haven't played further.

    • Just let the dev add more levels, making a sequel to this Backrooms game just to add more levels would be pointless and it would flop, people would just play one of the other multiple Backrooms games instead. Some devs focus more on adding level quantity, some others on visuals, some take a mixed approach, I personally tried this one out and the one called Inside the Backrooms and I like both, I was also thinking of picking up Enter the Backrooms, Backrooms: Survival and Backrooms: Escape Together, though I am not sure yet, I may give them all a try to see which one is closer to the original source.

  • At 23:35, how were you able to get the elevator door to shut and go down. My group we tried and could never get it to work, it would just keep opening like it did when you first tried it. All of us were there and it seemed bugged. Once we kept trying and dying, the doors all started to be locked at previous spawn locations for the elevator until we just gave up. Next time we try, will it be necessary to try a few times, leave, then comeback like you did in the video or was that a fluke?

  • Just gonna pitch this out, could be liked or scrapped. But build a huge place irl, and make a game vr show it make the entitys the only thing the vr controlls and have the games programing learn the layout of the building or install cameras annd make the whole building intergrated with the vr game for a haunted house scenario or fun 😊

    • The mechanics in this game are so damn fun that wasn’t even that weird. If you play the game yourself with friends you’ll find out what you can do🤣. Shifting while looking at the ceiling while showing your ID while jumping while turning will leave you laughing for a while
