  • William and Katherine are truly a valuable asset to the royal family, in the way they themselves act and in the way they educate their children. King Charles as well as the nation can be very proud.

  • personally, i think mentioning ANYTHING harry writes in spare disvalues the entire documentary. she says 'harry writes charles told him his mother had died, and he called him 'dear boy' and patted his knee, so he was a handsoff parent' how embarrassing for her! first off: spare is a one-sided, spiteful narrative from a pouty man-child that throws it's entire family under the bus to make a quick buck. it goes from 'my older brother got the bigger room' to 'my 4-year-old niece reduced my grown-ass fiancée to tears over dresses and tights' - and fine, if it wasn't his 4yo niece, then it was the 6 weeks post-partum sister-in-law that he NEVER had had problems with until then? that is the reference you want to pick? second off: this was ALSO FOR CHARLES a very stressful situation. wonder whether she ever had to tell her child it's parent had died. yes, he probably was less endearing and approachable to the kids, but he also is the product of his own upbringing, and it's unfair to just accuse him of being handsoff parent! in fact: there are pictures of him racing in the same school-games as diana, and embracing his kids JUST AS DEARLY after a tour just like diana, but the media only ever printed the pictures of diana doing these things! YES. 100%, i'm sure some things harry writes in this book are true. yes, some things were unfair. yes, somethings probably made him feel less valued, less worthy, less loved. yes, that's always very tough, and i am sorry he had to go through this traumatic childhood full of sacrifice, and loss? right?, it wasn't easy, and that's valid! BUT as a parent you make mistakes, and you will mess up, and your child will always have something to be dissatisfied with. you should always strive to be a good parents, but that's simply the reality of parenting, whether royal or not. you'll not always get it right, and you are in need of grave and forgiveness from your children, always. but taking what harry writes and just BLURTING it out as given is hurtful, and prideful, and quite frankly TASTELESS! thank you for coming to my tedtalk...

    • Harry wasn't to be king, so he was just jealous and spiteful, some kids are like that, but as they grow into a man, they realise there's other jobs in the world, other ways to make your impact and play your own role. ..for a while, I think Harry was also being positively influenced by Catherine and he was starting to find himself a positive path, called Catherine a 'sister', was starting to work with William, and I think he looked at William and wanted what He had.. Chelsey didn't want the royal life, and I think Harry was still a bit childish and 'ratbaggy' so after a few failed romances, MM found her way into his life, very interested if fame and fortune (oh yes, and if they threw in a husband, that's ok)....and I think she has been the changing factor. She's controlled, manipulated, brought up every dark thought, feeling and emotion in the pit of Harry's being, fed it, nurtured it, and turned him into the nasty, dry, hateful, spiteful person he is today!! To do what he did to his grandparents, whilst still saying how much he loved granny.....you have to be blinded to yourself and your physical actions. MM has been Harry's downfall, and he's followed her for so long now, there's no road back, I can't see anyone trusting him ever again....he's walked the dark path for way too long!!

  • That comment about “the two younger children are just the spares”. What an awful thing to say in public comments. Every family that has more than one child has “spares”. There is no reason for each of them not to grow up happy and loved. Their parents are going to make sure each one is loved as much as the other and each one is just as valued as the other.

    • Yes, I don't think Diana was the great parent everyone gave her credit for, she spoilt the boys too much, especially Harry, trying to 'make up' for him not being king in the future, rather than teaching him that there will be roles for him to play, as his brothers right-hand-man, like Anne was to her mother and is now to Charles. Harry was left with the feeling if he wasn't king, he wasn't anything, and Diana should have been attending to that dilemma instead of flirting with other men and trying to make Charles jealous, playing games with the press, etc....there were many positive things as a parent that she should have thrown herself into. I look at Catherine and I think her buoyancy will be the saving grace of William and the next generation, I'm glad Charles allowed his son to marry a commoner (as he sadly wasn't allowed to do).... but he also fought for Harry to marry whom he claimed to 'love' and I think he should have encouraged him to date for 2 more years... but I think MM could feel her eggs and time running out (if they hadn't already, who knows if the surrogacy ideas are true or not!)....

      @charliekezza@charliekezza4 ай бұрын
    • @@charliekezza I respectfully disagree and suspect that Catherine, Princess of Wales is still referred to as "Kate" by her close circle of family and friends in informal gatherings. If you watch her engagement interview, she is addressed as "Kate" by both Prince William and the interviewer, Tom Bradby. From my understanding the "Catherine" moniker was purposely introduced in the days and weeks leading up to her wedding as a sign of respect for a future Queen. In my opinion, this silly name business overshadows the true accomplishments and qualifications of Catherine. She is a modern woman with a middle-class background raised by two loving parents who made certain all three of their children were educated in top notch schools with impeccable manners and a great deal of emotional intelligence. The royal family is lucky to have her unwavering support and loyalty. I also have zero doubt that Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will navigate their roles as "spares" much more successfully than Harry. They already exhibit much more maturity at their tender ages than their Uncle Harry - LOL! 😜

I like to think positively of the future even though I'm american !!!! now on the other hand we have the other side of the coin with spares harry & Meghan who showed the world & their families on how not to do things!!!!
