Interesting tidbit from a recent QSuite trip between Doha and Houston: if you order a cocktail, it will take a while as they must serve it with food (in this case, the warm nuts). May explain y'all's experience in this video too. I felt so bad for the flight attendant because he was profusely apologizing to me for the drink "taking so long" (max 5min) because he had to warm the nuts.

Just got done with a multi-cabin experience on Qatar! Economy from Chicago -> Doha -> Male. Then Comfort + from Male -> Doha and Business from Doha -> Chicaco. The 15 hour flight from Doha to Chicago was sooooo worth the upgrade to business. My husband and I got the combined q suite and it was amazing!! But also, the comfort + was really great too! Huge economy seats and only paid 80USD per seat for the upgrade.
Fun fact about the bear coming form an ex Qatari resident the bear is made of bronze and is worth about 3.6 million US dollars

Great vid. First time I was at Hamad International Airport has right after it just opened and I was warned that it was a “quiet airport”, meaning announcements were kept to an absolute minimum. Loved it.

Flew them last month on same route in economy. Seat, legroom was superb indeed.
Please note that if you upgrade your ticket (i upgraded using miles), you DO NOT get access to the QR Biz lounge. Gave me a sour taste in the mouth because I was looking forward to the lounge. The Priority Pass lounge in DOH was a real let down too, had to wait about an hour to get in, and there was no hot food. But great review guys! Love the TPG UK videos :)

Last time I was flying Qatar business class (to Amsterdam) when I pressed the button for a flight attendant, it normally took like 7 to 15 seconds. Crazy.

Absolutely (count?) wonderful review, as usual.
The Business class experience has really changed. They don't offer the amenities kit anymore, they have replaced that with plastic bags with just the Mask and Socks. They no longer offer Pyjamas and they don't make up your bed for you anymore (Maybe I didn't ask). I do however really love the headphones they are true noise cancelling headphones and the meals are superb and did I say I love that the seat pulls down all the way? plus the cool DND feature on the cabin controls that turns the light outside your cubicle red when you don't want to be disturbed. I guess for the economy assistance came really fast is because the economy cabin was pretty empty. When they have a full flight, it will take at least a minute. All in all Qatar airways remains my favorite airline of all time.

I just had my first Qatar experience flying in the Q suite from Brisbane to Doha and then on to San Francisco. The suite is very comfortable and the sliding door is a really nice feature. The crew were very professional and service was quick. So, the downside to these flights. Even on the daytime flight, the crew would serve a beverage, such as a glass of champagne, then once the glass was empty, they snatched it up with no offer of a second. The same thing happened with a glass of red with the meal. It was one and done. And no offer of water refill. It felt like they were rushing to get through the service. The Arabic mezzo was very good. The filet of beef out of Brisbane was inedible. Dry and had a funky taste to it. I could barely cut it and just left it uneaten. For me, Singapore is a much better choice overall.
As always amazing content. I wish my daughter and I could experience the q-suites. My daughter is 9 has autism an loves that fly!!

I do like watching you review business and first class products as I can enjoy them vicariously as I would never ever be able to afford either product myself. Premium economy is the best I can ever achieve.

So economy to London is spacious. My trip to South Africa was crap. I was squashed in like a sardine in a can. I had half that space, the person in front of me was almost on top of me. So there's different planes for different countries.

You guys always do short flights! For a proper test, you need to do Sydney to London, or Perth to London. After 23 hours on board, the plane/service can seem very different as compared to a short 5-8 hour flight.

I fly Italy - Cape Town often with a connection in Europe usually Paris Frankfurt or Amsterdam, so it a good 24 hour trip... So that's LONG HAUL not 5 hours trip, try it sometime!!!

Flying the Q suite from LA all the way to Singapore in April. Taking odds on inflight meals: chicken makbous 2:1 beef short rib in jus sauce 4:1 pan seared chilean bass 5:1
and they BETTER have a different world cup themed amenity kit when I fly...

Great video! Does the Q Suite bed actually lie flat or not? Was it still comfortable?
Just to update you on the economy class flight.. as of June 2022 the little sanitizer tube was not in the kit, just a small sample size pkt like the ones beauty companies give out in women's magazines. Then, as of end Sept 2022 the kit itself was not being offered, though people who had no mask were offered a mask. Unfortunately I did not carry sanitizer as I was expecting to have some in the sanitizer kit, but that seemed to have been stopped.. but there wasn't even a gel dispenser for passengers as they boarded! As for business class food on Qatar Airways, all I can say is having paid for Business Class they ran out of chicken options at lunch and I had to make do with an Economy Class meal !! Needless to say we did not bother to fly Business Class with them again. The only reason we still fly QA is due to the convenience of departure from a local airport.
