    • @@kocayusuf192it means what degree is the offset of the pistons to one another in relation to the cylinder. E.g. if you had a twin cylinder inline engine and the pistons were 180 degree crank, then when the first piston is at top dead centre, then the other piston is at bottom dead centre; and vice versa.

    • Almost useless one could say. Yamaha uses the 270 in the r1 to allow for better performance other in cornering because it gives the tires periods of recovery. But I he r1 has almost 200 hrsprs. For a bike with 40 hrsprs it's basically useless and only robs power and creates more primary and secondary vibration. Especially in a 2 cylinder which is already shaky.

    • No its just a good very old 90° V-2 , just much cheaper to build as a CP2 inline.

    • Actually its not a copy from the MT07, nor a V-Twin, Its a self produced engine based on the blueprints pruchased to KTM (49% owner), using the Parallel Twin 270° Crankshaft from the 790cc Duke but downsized, its not an outdated engine nor a classic one, it was first used in 2017 for testing and 2018 for production :)!
