As I watched this video, with sound turned off (to eliminate the damned KZhead ads) this Idahoan, who has vacationed countless in southwest Colorado, recognized this highway. Heading west to Lizard Head Pass, Rico, and Delores. The Rio Grande Southern narrow gauge railroad moved freight and passengers through this country, back in the 1920s (however much lower) along the river. Abandoned in the 1950s, some relics and roadbed can still be seen. A trip on the train would take much longer than Mike's truck! And most likely a rough-riding journey! Great to see it again!!
