Unfortunately, neither player were at their best in this match, but what has really impressed me about Naomi in this tournament is that even not at her best, she was always calm, she never gave in, and she just kept winning the big points better than her competitors. When she needed her first serve, she found it, when she needed her forehand to find the winner, it did. Naomi played the bigger points better while Jennifer made too many errors on the big points, especially during the span when she lost 6 straight games. Naomi's mental game was too superior, which I believe made the difference in this match.

Brady's game is power without control, therefore erratic. Osaka is 10 times ahead with her game especially in the finals. Shit this girl Osaka is unbeatable. If she keeps winning GSlams like that then she will surpass Williams within 10 years or so. Her sweetness and good demeanor already make her an all time winner anyways. Great work from her.

The new 🐐 but I would like to see her have success on other surfaces at slams. We see at the French and Wimbledon how she does. She hasn’t made it past the 3rd round in either. brady and Osaka has pretty much same technique on forehand but brady has more power because she can whip it more.. but Osaka style has more advantage on making good angle shots because her racquet back swing path is quicker..

Even tho Brady is one of favorite players, she plays too inconsistently. I think she needs to work on controlling her power on her returns more so she can reduce her unforced errors. Besides that she’s able to compete with heavy hitters like Naomi and Serena.

Naomi i've been watching you play for a long time. The best match you play was on clay. You beat azarenka 6-0. 6-3 in rome. It's easy to beat azarenka like that but your game was like a master trainning a student. Naomi clay court is the best. place for your game you have enough time to hit forehand and backhand. be positive.

Bridget J, That is not just the only aliment of the game that is just a part of the component of Osaka game anyone that can dominate from the centre of the court have a big advantage they reach the ball a lot quicker and they do not have so much ground to cover and playing from the centre of the court the net is lower and is easy to change direction it is just like a king in medieval times that build his castle on a hill so that he can get the advantage a good coach will tell you cannot go tow to tow with a player that is in sync or that have riddim or rhythm to counteract or to neutralise that force you play the ball deep in each corner Serena Williams was not consistent enough she did not go deep in each corner and she did not hold on to her serve case in point Australia final with Jennifer Brady and Naomi Osaka I see Jennifer Brady play a shot and Osaka was frozen she did not even move but Jennifer Brady was not consistent enough so she lose the game and Osaka have a lot more commitment to her game and she is consistent but she will have problems with a young player that have stamina and that is consistent.

Well game was kinda ugly with those errors but at least winner wasn't pre-determined like in men Tennis. I only watch men finals if Rafa and Novak are playing otherwise it's just a cakewalk for Novak. This is a post mortem and why Serena Williams lost to Osaka we are going to dissect the game number one reason Osaka play from the centre of the court and she was able to boss the game Serena should not go tow to tow with Osaka all Serena needed to do is to move Osaka from side to side make her move around I watched the Australia final with Jennifer Brady and Naomi Osaka and that was a case in point if you notice when Jennifer play the tennis ball away from the centre of the court Osaka was frozen she did not even move You cannot allow Osaka the time to dictate the game you have to play the ball away from the centre of the court and play it in the corner that will force Osaka to move from the centre, all of Osaka game is played from the centre of the court if you have a coach and they do not point that out to you then you do not need a coach.

Unfortunately, neither player were at their best in this match, but what has really impressed me about Naomi in this tournament is that even not at her best, she was always calm, she never gave in, and she just kept winning the big points better than her competitors. When she needed her first serve, she found it, when she needed her forehand to find the winner, it did. Naomi played the bigger points better while Jennifer made too many errors on the big points, especially during the span when she lost 6 straight games. Naomi's mental game was too superior, which I believe made the difference in this match.

Even tho Brady is one of favorite players, she plays too inconsistently. I think she needs to work on controlling her power on her returns more so she can reduce her unforced errors. Besides that she’s able to compete with heavy hitters like Naomi and Serena.
